GAYATRI AND SAVITRI-2 FORMS OF ONE SUPER POWER

25 May

Primordial Energy has 2 aspects. One is Jnana and the other is Vijnana. Jnana or wisdom includes consciousness, thinking, sentiments, beliefs and aspirations. It lies within man. Vijnana includes extrapolation of natural wealth and science of its application in day to day life. Wisdom lies within man’s consciousness and Vijnana or science involves its application. This entire cosmos and body are matter. The advancement of the skills of its applied aspect has taken place as Vijnana or science. The wisdom of the creator and wealth of nature together manage this cosmos and keep it functioning.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_1.htm

In Indian Mytholgy or Puranas it has been described as Brahma having 2 wives. One was Gayatri and the other was Savitri. Gayatri is the Goddess of Wisdom and Savitri is the presiding deity of science. Man’s body is matter hence its existence is looked upon as lying within the realms of Savitri.

While marching ahead on the path of wisdom man attains self control and progress. He/she attains the path of remaining happy and giving inspiration to others. He/she attains Self/God Realization. Life attains the goal of omnipotence. Man becomes Super Man, Rishi, divine man, Avatar etc. In this visible world he/she progresses rapidly and rise high in the subtle world. The glory of Gayatri or Jnana is so great.

Via science one can wholesomely utilize ones physical potential. By awakening the otherwise latent mysterious centers of the body one can make them extraordinarily potent. It is science that makes one brilliant and talented in worldly transactions. This then is the nature of Savitri and is work arena.

Within Gayatri practices soul purification predominates. Over here one washes off distortions/bad qualities assimilated on contacting the material world which has piled up on the soul for millions of lifetimes. One imbibes understanding, honesty, responsibility and valor which befit human glory. The intellect encompasses Mahaprajna or farsighted discrimination. It is because of all such special qualities that man in this very lifetime attains a divine inner state. Ones method of living and direction becomes such wherein in this very life one attains divinity. Not only does one advance but helps others too to do so.

Via Savitri practices the extraordinary bodily energies are awakened higher up from a latent state and it is so full of deep import that the entire visible world can be made conducive. All such attainments are called Sidhis or Divine Powers. All potentials of the solar universe exist in an atom albeit in a subtle manner. The activities and potentials of the atom in a gist are present in the external cosmos. What exists in the macrocosm or cosmos is present in the microcosm or atom. But ordinarily mankind attains only that much of natural potential which he/she uses in a daily mundane lifestyle. Apart from this if the need arises to transform world conditions one has to take recourse to that science called Savitri practices.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_1.htm

For many tasks of modern science many types of machinery/technology has been invented. The root power of all of them lies in the subtle centers of the human body. If one so desires with necessary effort they can be activated powerfully and the body can be converted into such a research laboratory in which one can manifest all technology that scientists have designed. Thus those tasks can be fulfilled which great intellectual scientists execute in this world with tremendous success.

Two types of images of Primordial Energy can be found. One has one face, 2 arms, water pot in one hand, rosary and vehicle is a swan. This is Brahmi Shakti or Divine Energy. It is called Gayatri. Another image has 5 faces and is called Savitri.

The vehicle of Gayatri is a swan. Swan means royal swan, Param Hans that can separate water and milk, that eats pearls and vows never to eat worms etc. Rosary connotes meditation and books means self introspection via scriptural studies etc. This then is the image of maternal power. It is the presiding deity of human glory thus it has one face.

The vehicle of Savitri is a lotus. Lotus means joy. There are lots of material pleasures. It has 5 faces. The body is made up of 5 elements and its psychic consciousness is made of 5 Pranas or vital forces. The 10 arms of Savitri mean 10 senses of the body. It is through the power of the senses that the body functions. Amongst weapons those are painted in the photo that aid in material advancement and competition.

Gayatri predominates because when divine wisdom is imbibed such a personality is designed that if due interest is taken in the direction of economic arena one can generate lots of wealth for oneself and others too. But the arena of Savitri or science is limited to the material world. It is not necessary that a powerfully wealthy man is also rich in Divine Wisdom. Hence such a one is not that important. In the personality the soul predominates and body is minor. In the same way from the spiritual standpoint Gayatri predominates and Savitri becomes minor. And yet both need to be devoted to. Both have their importance in their own inimitable way. Thus all round spiritual aspirants make use of both and time and again apply their powers in their day to day lives.

In Valmiki Ramayan an episode is mentioned wherein Sage Vishwamitra took Ram and Lakshman to his hermitage for the sake of protection of Yajnas that he carried out. There he taught them Bal and Atibala Science. These are but synonyms of Gayatri and Savitri. Via one of them he helped overcome raging demons in Lanka. With the other power he brought back Satyuga in Tretayuga. Thus Ramrajya or Rule of Righteousness came into being. Thus both sciences were used albeit in separate areas and thus extraordinary success was tasted.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_1.htm

In the above paragraphs it has been said that Brahmaji had 2 wives. The first is Gayatri and second is Savitri. In symbolic terms they are said to be wisdom consciousness and material wealth. One is Para Prakriti and the other is Apara Prakriti. Para Prakriti includes mind, intellect, psyche, ego and Divine Intellect/ Ritambhara Prajna. This is the area of wisdom. The second wife is Savitri or Apara Prakriti or material energy or material nature. All movements and activities of matter are dependent on it. The movement in atoms, chemical reactions, electricity, heat, light, magnetism, ether etc are a part of it. Material Science by making use of these means, invent many things and thus augment material comforts. This very Apara Prakriti is called Savitri. This second energy is called Kundalini.

There is no limit to conscious energy. Scholars, scientists, realized saints, super men, Rishi, thinkers etc progress in their respective areas by using this energy in their own way. On this basis for intellectual education school training, self introspection, association with realized saints, deep thinking and trance practices are carried out. All potentials regarding radiance of personality and divine aura are conjoined to this very area. The inner consciousness evolves with the aid of Para Prakriti practices and Gayatri Meditation.

The second energy is Savitri-material energy or activity. With the help of this Para Prakriti bodily activities of all creatures are carried out. In the human body many activities take place like inhalation/exhalation, blood circulation, sleep/awakening, digestion/excretion, heat/energy, electrical flow etc. Every object of the world is mobile. In this world the wheel moves ceaselessly in the form of creation, propagation and transformation. Animate and inanimate beings are marching ahead on the path of evolution. Every particle is forced to progress. The inspirational center of transforming inaction into activity is called Apara Prakriti that lies in Mahat Tattva. It is this energy that directs movements of Sat, Raj, Tam, 5 elements, 5 Tanmatras etc. Sidhis (Divine Powers) and boons are got due to its benediction. This then is Savitri, the second wife of Brahmaji. Infinite special qualities of the human body like health, long life, strength, zest, valor, beauty etc are dependent on it. Although it is found everywhere yet it is more profound in the polar regions of earth and in the Mooladhar Chakra (subtle plexus) of the human body. In spiritual practices it is called Kundalini Energy.

Gayatri and Savitri both complement each other. There is no competition between them. Like the 2 rivers Ganges and Yamuna they are said to be 2 streams of cosmic consciousness. The bare fact is that both are inseparably bound to each other. They can be said to be one breath and 2 bodies. Even a realized saint requires a body of flesh and blood and means to nourish it. Without consciousness matter cannot be managed optimally. Thus this world is managed by both together. If matter and energy were to separate none of them could exist solely. Both will them merge in their root cause. They are hence 2 wheels of the chariot of progress of the world. One without the other is useless. A handicapped realized saint and weak intellect animal man are both incomplete. The body has 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes, 2 lungs, 2 kidneys etc. Brahma or creator too creates this world with the above 2 energy streams. One should aptly understand this when looking upon these 2 streams as Brahma’s wives. The term wife is merely symbolic. How can consciousness have a family? Fire element has 2 special qualities- heat and light. If someone desires he/she can call them the 2 wives of fire. If you do not like the word wife replace it with daughter. At some places Saraswati is said to be the wife of Brahma and at other places she is called his daughter. This must not be looked upon as a gross worldly relationship. This symbolic description is merely an allegory. Soul power is called Gayatri and material force is called Savitri. Savitri based practices are called Kundalini Awakening. Here efforts are made to ward off distortions and latent state of bodily vital force. Electricity has 2 charges viz. negative and positive. When both these unite electrical flow is generated. The unison of Gayatri and Savitri based practices results in fulfillment of all requirements. In order to avail of balanced benefits of Gayatri practices one must take of Savitri power too.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_1.htm

In the spiritual arena the portion dealing with knowledge is called Dakshin Marg. It is also called Nigam, Raja Yoga, Vedic path etc. The other portion is called Vam Marg, Agam, Tantra, Hath Yoga etc. Both of these if utilized separately will not prove beneficial. No one enjoys reading about the battles between demigods and demons. In fact on reading it one gets angry. But when both helped each other while churning the ocean (Samudra Manthan) a great deal of wealth was unearthed. We all know this story where 14 priceless jewels were got as a result of this churning. These efforts yielded Goddess Lakshmi, pot of nectar, wish fulfilling cow or Kamadhenu, wish fulfilling tree or Kalapavriksha etc. As long as the demons and demigods remained separate, fought with each other, hardships and destruction had to be undergone. But the moment they cooperated with one another like in churning of the ocean it became the basis of attaining many things. Thus the united efforts of Gayatri and Savitri can be said to be exactly like the cooperation between demons and demigods.

When Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married their loneliness disappeared. Due to this union, 2 sons were born called Sidhivinayak Ganesh and Kartikeya who killed demons. One establishes righteousness and the other destroys unrighteousness prevalent in the world. Ganesha’s boon is Prajna or Divine Intellect and Kartikeya’s boon is Shakti or Divine Energy. Kartikeya has 6 faces which correspond to the 6 Chakras of Hath Yoga.

Super Energy Gayatri’s all round utility and easily follow able spiritual practice is included in our daily routine. Sandhya Vandan is a most necessary aspect of spiritual practices. Without Gayatri Meditation Sandhya cannot be done. Over and above this other special practices are carried out. One is Anushthan the other is Purashcharan.

One can say that Gayatri practice is a pious action which removes dirt and distortions veiling our consciousness. Due to this the divine nature of our soul existence radiates a great deal. In the worldly arena in order to manifest the influence of soul consciousness Savitri practice must be undergone. In order to radiate the soul in a worldly sense the human body has to be donned. That capability required for fulfilling worldly tasks by the soul in the form of Gayatri is achieved via Savitri practices. It is called the spiritual practices of the 5 sheaths (Panch Koshas) and Kundalini Activation. The scriptures also say that Savitri created nature or Prakriti and via Gayatri the manifestation of 5 levels of consciousness took place. These are called 5 veils of mankind, 5 Koshas and 5 Lokas or worlds. These are also storehouses of Divine Powers called Ridhi-Sidhis.

Meditation on Super Power Gayatri radiates man’s sentiments, aspirations, yearnings, skills and divine intellect. Savitri gives us long life, children, fame, wealth and other material wealth because it is related to the material world. Gayatri has 1 face and Savitri has 5 faces. Savitri is material and Gayatri is spiritual in nature. Both are very important in their own way. Man via his strength earns material wealth. Even demonic people via their hard work and wiliness have earned untold wealth like demon Ravan of bye gone eras. Despite this for awakening spiritual glories only divine grace works. In the absence of wisdom consciousness man despite having all material comforts imbibes vile actions due to a tainted intellect and thus experiences harsh situations. His life oozes with problems and chaos. Hence for the layman and just about everybody Gayatri Meditation in the form of daily Sandhya Vandan is prescribed. If Sandhya cannot be performed thrice, daily perform it at least once in the morning in some form or the other.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_1.htm

Savitri Meditation is not easy. In that vital electricity has to be raised to that level wherein like lightning in the sky it plays the role of a thunderbolt. In the soul arena Savitri Super Energy must be invoked in the form of solar energy and has to be made capable to such an extent that Divine Powers manifest in this very body. Thus the devotee becomes of the level of Rishis, radiant, brilliant, mentally tough and full of austerities.

THE POTENT PERSONALITY OF THE SUBTLE BODY

18 May

Majority of world humanity accept things, events etc only if they can be perceived by the 5 gross senses (ear, eye, nose, tongue, skin). Hence when they undergo miraculous incidences as mentioned previously they realize unfailingly that there exist those experiences which are beyond the limited ken of human imagination. Thus they too start accepting that within the deep cave of man’s soul lie potent powers which are albeit latent as of now and that they are subtly conjoined to the Divine Cosmic Consciousness called God by laymen. When those rare human beings contact this Cosmic Consciousness with the help of a sacred/focused psyche he/she starts manifesting Divine Powers that can be tangibly experienced by others. As mentioned previously when the Italian priest Ligadri awakened from his deep trance others present were simply wonderstruck! It goes without saying that the underlying principle of this inner conscious state cannot be explained on the basis of the scientific laws unearthed by great modern scientists at this point in time.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/five_vital_forces_five_divine_principles.htm

Today man executes various bodily and professional functions with the help of his ordinary gross conscious power. This is very much in the realm of the 5 gross sense organs. Beyond this gross state lies a subtle state of consciousness (subtle body) which is infinitely more powerful than our sense organ perception. With the help of the subtle body we can create apt situations and transformations in the subtle world. Just as the potency of the subtle world is infinitely more than that of the gross world so too is the case with their power and energy manifestation; meaning, that subtle powers are much more potent than gross powers. Not only are they as speedy as the movement of man’s thoughts but they help us pin point the unknown invisible world along with unknown invisible & subtle objects. The powers of the subtle body conjoined to the subtle world are so far known very barely. And yet the data based proof of these on unearthing show that they are no less miraculous. It further proves that within man’s psyche lies an infinite storehouse of Divine Powers/Potentials albeit in a latent state; meaning they need to be awakened.

Following is an incident that took place in Ireland. Over here lived a married couple called Butler. Almost daily Mrs. Butler saw a building in a vivid dream at night and it was surrounded by gardens all around. In this dream she would whirl around in the building. Not only was Mrs. Butler well versed with the external architecture of the building but she knew every nook and corner of its interiors too. Daily she would talk about this dream based building to her family and friends. Despite this her family etc would take all this as a big joke and topic of humor.

One day the Butlers had to leave for London. There they started looking for a good place for residing. While they were driving in their car Mrs. Butler was amazed to see one particular building. She told her husband: This is the very building I see in my dreams daily.

Now even her husband was rightly curious. He stopped the car. They enquired about this building and were later told that it is vacant and up for sale. Mrs. Butler opined: If we buy this house it will be great for our future.

The Butlers met an agent and told him about their interest in buying that building. The agent explained: It is best you do not buy that building. I will show you much better places of residence. See here are their details. Choose any one of them and we can seal the deal. But please do not go in for the building you just spoke of. This is because the building is visited by ghosts.

And yet for Mrs. Butler this particular building was very close to her soul. She insisted on buying that house. Hence the agent led her to the building’s landlord. But when the landlord saw her the he ran away crying aloud: Ghost! Ghost!

Since the agent was from the same city he knew the landlord very well. Hence the agent went to meet the landlord. There he saw the latter shivering with fright. All the family members of the landlord too had now gathered there. They had no clue as to what was the problem. The agent told him that the Butlers had come to buy the house. The agent explained that the Butlers were working in a particular company and that they certainly were not “ghosts”! Now the landlord spoke: We had to leave that house and come here. Of course! We preferred to reside in our previous house. The present house we had taken on rent only but we stay here because in the house we own appeared a female ghost who would whirl round and round frighteningly! My family members were scared merely on listening to her dance like loud foot steps. From afar they had seen this lady ghost barely a couple of times and felt that she was just aimlessly roaming around in our house. I personally tried to see this ghost clearly. Since I saw her again and again I am sure how this female ghost looks. I am sure it was your self Mrs. Butler! Initially I tried speaking to you because there was not much that could frighten me. No doubt I was dumbstruck as to how you entered my locked house at night. I thought of reprimanding you but whenever I said something it just did not register in your ears. It appeared as though you could not hear anything. Thus I became very scared. Henceforth whenever you reappeared we saw it as a sign of danger. Before you could (in your ghost form) attack us we thought it prudent to leave that house and live in this present rented one.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/five_vital_forces_five_divine_principles.htm

Mrs. Butler was simply amazed to hear all this! She said: I definitely saw your home in my dream and yet could not fathom the reason behind that dream vision. Now the fear in the landlord’s psyche disappeared but a new problem arose. He strongly felt that there was some mysterious connection between his house and Mrs. Butler. Hence he sold his house to Mrs. Butler charging a very minimal sum.

A similar event took place in the lives of 2 American citizens in 1963 A.D. One was called Tet and the other was Wilmut. They were travelling by ship. Midway in the ocean their ship had to face a deadly storm. The ship swayed perilously. Wilmut was fast asleep while Tet was seated.

Suddenly Tet was dumbstruck. Their cabin door was locked and yet he saw a female standing at the door wearing a gown. Tet saw in amazement that the lady was serene and a bit embarrassed. Hence he was not so scared enough to shout aloud. Tet silently gazed at this intruder.

Slowly this woman wearing a gown walked towards the sleeping Wilmut. She was a bit flustered with Tet’s presence. She passed a loving hand on Wilmut’s scalp and said something which Wilmut failed to hear. Suddenly she walked back to the door. From there she disappeared completely! Even now their cabin door was locked from inside. Tet stared at the door wide eyed in sheer wonderment.

As soon as that woman intruder vanished Wilmut got up from sleep looking a bit flustered. He had apparently seen a dream wherein his wife came to him. His dream wife lovingly placed her hand on his scalp and said something which Wilmut failed to understand. Immediately he woke up and saw Tet seated in the cabin. Tet described what had happened while Wilmut was dreaming. Wilmut exclaimed: This is exactly what I saw in my dream! Realizing that what Tet had actually seen was dreamt by him self, Wilmut said to him self: Definitely this incident has a deep import. It could be that my wife (far away from him) was ill.

Until Wilmut managed to reach home he was full of worry. As soon as he reached home he saw his wife attending to the daily chores very serenely. Later Wilmut spoke to his wife about that strange dream and incident which took place on the ship. His wife replied: On that very fateful night I heard news on the radio that a great storm was raging in the Atlantic Ocean. This set me worrying about your safety. All the while I thought about you and by and by I went to sleep. While dreaming I cannot decipher how but I entered a ship which was traveling midway in the ocean. In one cabin of the ship I saw you sleeping. In this cabin I saw one more person but he was awake unlike you who were sleeping. I was a bit apprehensive to see this other man. And yet I stood by your bedside and lovingly placed my hand on your head. I asked you about your well being. Immediately I woke up from my dream in our house. Now Wilmut was absolutely astounded because his wife’s dream, his own dream on the ship and the scene witnessed by his friend Tet on the ship were absolutely identical.

The above incidents definitely tell us that mere superficial curiosity is not enough. The need of the hour is to delve deep into its intricacies. Assuming that these incidences were the result of transport of thought waves we could label them under the category of ‘Telepathy’. And yet it is clear that the above events are much more subtle than telepathy. This is because in this case not only thoughts but the very inner personality/psyche of individuals had crossed all national borders so as to travel in mid ocean. Later like a ‘word-arrow’ it had returned too. Just as birds leave their nest for far off places and then return to it so too the psyche/personality too reached a far off place and an individual there. After the mission was completed the psyche left the ship to return to its far off home away from the Atlantic Ocean.

The above activity cannot be executed via the known principles of the gross material world and their methods. The physical body of Wilmut’s wife was very much in America and it was only her inner personality/psyche that had traveled to the ship sailing midway in the Atlantic Ocean. The same holds true for Mrs. Butler’s experience where her physical body was in one place and that her subtle psychic body traveled to a far off place. The gross body in one place and the subtle body traveling to a far off place were identical as far as their form and appearance were concerned. Thus it is crystal clear that the above incidences have to be attributed to the great potential of our subtle bodies and it in turn follows laws of the subtle world (Sookshma Jagat).

http://www.shriramsharma.com/five_vital_forces_five_divine_principles.htm

Thousands of years back great Indian Seers (Rishi/Munis) were well aware of this great divine potential (latent) in every human being’s soul. They have elucidated these divine potentials and energies in great detail. Further they have thrown light on how to activate these Divine Powers too. As an exception some rare world individuals manifest these Divine Potentials with fair ease simply because in their past lives they had accumulated them with painstaking efforts. In some other cases loving divine grace from a great realized saint can activate these powers in a devotee whose psyche is spiritually ripe and mature. Else for the rest they must execute spiritual practices like Yoga, meditation, devotion etc to activate these latent Divine Powers. Of course those rare individuals who activate these powers relatively swiftly due to grace are not well documented and hence lesser known. A point to be noted is that these rare souls are generally unaware of how to utilize these Divine Powers for welfare of the world. As against these individuals an aspirant of Yoga who makes due spiritual efforts to activate these latent powers is much more capable of utilizing them for world welfare at will. This is because Yoga aspirants are very much in contact with subtle divine centers that manifest Divine Powers in man’s psyche sacred and focused psyche.

In Tantra Science (of Indian origin) spiritual practices pertaining to a “Chhaya-Purusha” (shadow man) has been described minutely. This “shadow man” is a subtle bodied living being and is part and parcel of every individual. When we activate this “shadow man” we are actually manifesting one more subtle body whom we can direct to act in a particular manner; meaning this “shadow man” on activation is always at our beck and call. It is like a living ghost and has Extra Sensory Potentials (ESP) like any ghost. A great Yogi has that excellent capacity of carrying out varying tasks simultaneously with the help of his/her activated subtle body. Without exception every world denizen possesses this all powerful subtle body and yet it remains latent because not all of have that giant capacity to activate it. Those exceptionally gifted individuals who manage to work hard in activating Divine Powers not only become masters of this “shadow man” but become knower of the divine laws of the subtle world too. In addition to all this their intellectual and sensitive/sentimental (Bhava) potentials of the mind too become limitless. No longer will their thinking be narrow-minded. Instead their sacred mission becomes creation of “A BEAUTIFUL BORDERLESS WORLD”.

Today latest modern scientific research too is slowly but surely proving the existence of a subtle body apart from the gross body made up of bones, flesh, blood etc. Right from the year 1963 A.D. Modern science has carried out successful research studies and experiments in this direction. A Western electron microscope specialist called Samyon Kirliyan with the help of his scientist wife Valentina invented a special photography technique. This scientific apparatus helped photograph subtle vibrations around all living beings and also their bodily energy based activities.

In another experiment the Kirliyan couple took a photograph of an ill lady. It was seen that the aura of light particles was quite withered and very soon it disappeared. In one more research study the Kirliyan couple photographed every bodily part of a male. Close up photographs of the neck, heart and stomach area depicted very subtle ‘blots’. The latter were nothing but electrical energy emitted from those bodily parts. These shadow pictures were studied scientifically and after that it was concluded unanimously that every creature/living being possesses 2 bodies. The first one is seen by our gross eyes and is the physical body made of flesh, blood etc. The second is the subtle body which has all potentials of the gross body but cannot be seen by our gross eyes. Modern day scientists opine that the subtle body comprises of those subtle principles which in comparison to the speed of movement of the electrons of the gross body moves infinitely more swiftly. Scientists proclaim that this subtle body of any creature can separate itself from its gross body and move about anywhere in the world.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/five_vital_forces_five_divine_principles.htm

Apart from Russia great scientists of USA too are conducting a lot of research in this area. State University of New York has actually opened a separate department for Parapsychology research studies and its head is Dr. Robert Bafer. A major class of world humanity believes only what their gross eyes perceive in this material world of name and form and hence spend their entire precious lives in merely amassing material wealth and comforts so as to attain joy. They fail to realize that if only they pay due heed to the existence of their subtle body so as to nourish and awaken it, so much more can be gained in life which would be labeled nothing short of an extraordinary miracle. This is because now man will not only augment his material life but will aptly nourish his spiritual life so as to lead a life of overall prosperity. Indian Spirituality has already taken giant steps in this area. It goes without saying that ancient India which thrived on citizens with pure taintless characters was but the result of laying great emphasis on deep spiritual and human values (integrity, commitment, loyalty, sense of world well being etc.).

THE SOLAR DEITY’S WRATH IN THE 21st CENTURY

17 May

The sun is the chief of the solar system. According to the Vedas the sun awakens us in the morning so that we act aptly all through the day. The sun is said to be the ‘soul’ of all movable and immovable objects. Within the entire cosmos the sun moves about ‘mysteriously’ and is a silent witness of the actions of all living beings. In Greek language the sun is called “Helios”. It means that which is radiant and brilliant in nature. This radiance of the sun is but a manifestation of the intense infinite energy it harbors within its core being. It is because of this that life sustains on planet Earth. According to modern scientists that ball of brilliant light seen by us and is called the sun manifests certain movements. They in turn manifest as flames and black spots or sun spots.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/heralding_a_radiant_world_future_in_the_21st_century.htm

No doubt the sun predominates gigantically in our solar system and yet it is a mere star with reference to the galaxy in which it exists. The distance between the sun and our earth is 1.4 billion and 9.6 million kilometers. Despite this solar rays take merely 8 minutes to reach our planet from the sun. The diameter of the sun is 1.3 million and 92 thousand kilometers. From our standpoint while visualizing the sun from our planet it is very difficult to imagine the sun to be so much more gigantic, heavy and blazing than our earth.

The temperature in every area of the sun is not equally distributed. The surface temperature is 6000 degrees Celsius. It is solar energy that is at work behind the sun’s light and heat principles. Solar energy is the very life force of our planet earth. As a result life proliferates and sustains on earth. This solar energy is a manifestation of the ‘nuclear’ activity of the sun. In that hydrogen gas is converted to helium. In the sun’s core/central region within one second 564 million tons of hydrogen gets converted to 560 million tons of helium gas. Energy of 4 million tons hydrogen manifests from the sun in the form of solar rays. The sun emits 3.8 x 10 raised to -26 Joules energy/second into interstellar space.

For the past 5 billion years the sun has been converting air around it into solar energy which is used up as and when required. Its temperature on the surface region too is not equally distributed. In the sun’s Photosphere the temperature is 6000 degrees centigrade. One layer of its uncontrolled atmosphere is Photosphere. Between these 2 is a layer whose temperature is 4500 degrees centigrade. This is the ‘coldest’ region on the sun. During the duration between the commencement and ending of a solar eclipse it is seen as a magnet freeze.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/heralding_a_radiant_world_future_in_the_21st_century.htm

On the surface of the sun where the temperature is less and there exists only cold and dark gloominess is called Sunspots. The temperature of a Sunspot is less than 2000 degrees centigrade of the temperature of its neighboring gas. It is around 4000 degrees centigrade in the Photosphere. These spots tend to move as couples or more in number and their life spans between a few days and a few months. These Sunspots were first discovered by that great scientist Galilee.

The sun is never known to be clam and serene. This is because movements within it always exist. These movements are so intense at times flames appear on the sun’s surface. According to USA’s material scientist Unin Norman Parlor a continuous flow of hydrogen ions and helium ions are emitted by the sun. In this flow the number of electrons and protons are equal. It is also called solar wind which has a speed of 1.26 to 2.88 million kilometers per hour.

From Sunspots solar flames erupt forth in the form of energy. With its heavy intensity it scatters the particles of solar wind which in turn some times crosses the boundary of planet Earth and appears over here. These energy particles create intense magnetic fields on planet Earth. As a result all modes of communication can get flattened to the ground. In outer space solar flames get spread out in billions of miles area. Until today solar flames were seen in their most terrific form on 28th Feb 1942, 19th Nov 1949, 13th Sep 1971 and April 1990.

At the end of the 20th century i.e. in the year 2000 AD solar movements were seen again in a more intense form. In the year 2000 AD i.e. 3rd and 4th Mar blasts of intensity of billions of hydrogen bombs with the potential of 100 mega tons were recorded on the sun’s surface. As a result of this there was a storm of UV rays in the Earth’s central region. According to that famous outer space scientist R.S. Srivatsava as a result of this episode on that day between 11 am to 1.30 pm the overall situation was very dire because of the X-ray and UV ray storms that lashed out on planet Earth.

According to USA’s J M Fridge and Dr R.S. Srivatsava there are 2 points on the sun’s corona. These points are called 8882 and 8881. In present times these points have suddenly become very active. From both these points about 20 billion tons of corona material is emitted which constitutes a part of its storehouse of rays. It has a speed of 3000 kilo meters/sec. At any time its direction can point at Earth. Ordinarily its speed is 10000 times more. Amongst these one finds gamma and beta rays included too. With reference to these geological incidences Delhi University’s scientist Prof Vishnu Bhatia has clarified that sometimes the earth’s magnetic field agitates high energy particles emitted by the sun. Recently an incident of this type recurred and the earth was saved from great danger.

Very rarely does one see a destructive form of global turbulence but on the sun they have recorded even more intense and ghastly agitations. As a result of this sunspot based activities reach their peak every 11 years. In turn because of this time and again there occurs a change in the shape and form of solar based aura. The temperature of very sensitive magnetic fields found on sunspots is less when compared to other regions. In other magnetic fields (other areas) electrons, protons and ionic electric fields move along tortuous paths. This is why the 11 year wheel of solar activity marches ahead. Every 11th year this activity reaches its peak. On 24th April 1990 AD during such a solar agitation it was noted that certain materials of the NW region of the sun had separated speedily. These materials have spread themselves at a distance of 1million kilometers from the sun.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/heralding_a_radiant_world_future_in_the_21st_century.htm

Due to high activity of sunspots on an average one notes the appearance of a multi colored polar aura. In the North Pole this light is called Aurora Borealis and on the South Pole it is called Aurora Austrealis. The electrical particles of magnetic storms emitted by sunspots get attracted to the magnetic regions of Earth. As a result one can see beautiful scenes related to light on the Earth’s Polar region. The rays emitted from solar turbulences reach the Earth’s Ionosphere. As a result the earth’s magnetic regions get influenced by it. The highest intensity of solar agitations creates further turbulences on the Earth’s Ionosphere. In turn there is a greater probability of magnetic storms manifesting on Earth. What then ensues is an obstruction of radio wave transmissions and thus there is possibility of chaos in the supply of electricity. Our earth has experienced this dire situation umpteen number of times already. These geological incidences had destroyed the electrical supplies of many nations. In Canada the Hydrocubic Electric Machines had been shattered and for hours many regions of Canada and USA had to go without electricity for a certain time span.

At present the sunspots have been increasing since 1996 and they reached their peak in March 2000 AD. When magnetic movements increase on the sun uniformity is noted in its aura but when magnetic movements decrease many colors are seen in its aura that spread out in inter stellar space. A weather scientist of USA’s “National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration” Mr. Gary Hackman maintains that the present eruptions on the solar wheel and the resultant dire storm of rays has passed nearby planet earth at a distance of 0.15 million kilometers. It should be looked upon as nothing short of divine grace. If this were not true artificial satellites that have been set up in inter stellar space and their dependent institutions would have been the target of one of the direst world catastrophes.

All such solar movements/activities indicate an imminent widespread change in the world. Eminent world scientists opine that because of such movements a great transformation will duly be witnessed the world over. They say that the shape of earth will no doubt not change but that nature will transform in totality. This can also be seen as a form of transformation of the 21st century which will herald a New Era.

GAYATRI YAJNAS: ITS UTILITY ASPECT AND DIRE NEED

16 May

Super Mantra Gayatri and Yajnas are like an inseparable couple. One is the mother of Indian culture and the other is the father of Indian spirituality. Both are mutually dependent on one another. Without executing a Yajna at the end of a Gayatri Mantra chanting program (Anushthaan) the latter remains incomplete. One portion of Japaor Mantra chanting is in the form of Havan or fire sacrifice. In ancient times when people were materially well off a tenth portion of Mantra chanting program was devoted to Yajna. But looking at today’s circumstances a 100th portion of the number of Mantras chanted is offered as Ahutis (sacred materials to the Yajna fire saying ‘Swaahaa’) to a Yajna. Without this an Anushthaan remain incomplete. A question may arise that what happens to those who are not materially very well off? The answer is that such individuals should chant extra Mantras amounting to a 10th portion of the number chanted during an Anushthaan. For them this extra Mantra Japa is considered equivalent to performing a Yajna. By giving this option it is not as though Yana is being ignored but that its importance albeit indirectly has been highlighted. Again it should be noted that this arrangement is only for the poor strata of society.

A dialogue between Janak and Yajnavalkya regarding the non availability of Yajna materials took place. Janak insisted the problems of Yajna performance are many and Yajnavalkya kept giving solutions to those problems thus insisting that Yajnas were a very important aspect of Vedic culture. Janak asked: Suppose Yajna materials like Charu are not available what is to be done? The answer was: Conduct Yajnas using materials eaten by a person daily (rice, wheat, millet etc grains). Janak asked: Suppose there is no food what happens then? The answer is make-do with plants. Janak asked: Suppose there are no plants? The answer was that use only Samidha (wood based fuel) for the Yajna. Janak asked: Suppose fire itself is not available? The answer is that mentally execute a Yajna using the fire of faith in a meditative manner. This is the gist of the long conversation that had taken place.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_2.htm

From the above it becomes clear that along with Gayatri Mantra Japa conducting a Yajna is a must. Further in an Anushthaan both these are mutually conjoined. Gayatri Japa and 5-fold Yajna are imperative. We all know that conjoined to meditative methods are the Balivaishwa rites and it is nothing but a mini Yajna. During dire times this Balivaishwa rite became so miniscule that women after taking fire from their cooking pyre offered 5 small parts of a Roti (Indian wheat bread) to it while chanting the Gayatri Mantra. Thus it was taken to be a Yajna. Further those who worshipped Gayatri regularly too performed this miniscule Yajna. Before partaking food they would remove 5 small portions of food from their plates and offer it to a small bowl of fire. Even today here and there this tradition can be seen in India. Today Yuga Nirman Mission is trying to rejuvenate this tradion of miniscule Yajnas.

In ancient India great Rishi-Seers kept in mind at every step, wisdom, subtle viewpoint, utility and state of facts before embarking on any world welfare program. Despite giving due importance to Yajnas in religious activities they have kept many other precepts in mind too. They could never make any endeavor which had no great utility value. They have always gave due emphasis to the results and attainments while giving more importance to any sacred endeavor. Thus they gave Yajnas more importance amongst all spiritual endeavors keeping in mind their capacity to bestow world denizens both material and spiritual prosperity.

In Indian scripture one amongst many names of Almighty God is ‘Yajna Purusha’. Within the Shruti of Shatpath (‘Yajno vai Vishnu’) Yajna is said to be synonymous with Lord Vishnu. In the preliminary portion of Rig-Vedas Yajnas are described as a guide, preceptor, Purohit, Guru etc. While calling those who sing God’s eulogies as Deva or divinity manifest this endeavor’s fruits are called Ratna or jewel. In Vedic literature so much information is given on Yajna science and its deep import that no other information can match it. In one Vedic verse it is said “Agnay naya supathaa raayay”. It means requesting earnestly this Super Divine Fire to take all creatures to the shores of divine greatness. The same meaning can be found in Gayatri Mantra’s portion of “Dheeyo yo naha prachodayaata”.

Within the normal lifestyle of mankind Yajnas are inseparably bound to their worship rites. Right from birth to death Shodasha Sanskaaras or the 16-fold rites have been prescribed by Indian scriptures. All these are synonymous with the concept of Yajnas. Without executing a yajna none of these 16 rites can be completed. The word Yajnopaveet (sacred thread ceremony) which is one of these 16 Sanskaaras comes from the word Yajna. Yajnopaveet is a combination of Gayatri’s sacred sentiments and Yajna rites. In Indian marriage ceremony the bride and groom circumambulate the Yajna pyre without which the marriage ceremony remains incomplete. It is only after circumambulation of the Yajna pyre (7 Pheraas) is executed that the couple is declared as married or husband/wife. The last Sanskaara is Antyeshti. The funeral pyre in its pure aspect is a big sized Yajna. A funeral pyre may be lit with proper or half proper rules yet so many rules of Yajna have to be observed. The Puraahuti called Kapaal Kriya is done offering Ghee Ahuti (clarified butter).

The annual Yajna in the form of the Holi Festival of colors yet pervades in some form or the other everywhere. When worship programs pf gods/goddesses are performed some form of a Yajna too is executed. In certain cases lighting of incense sticks or a flame lamp is taken to be a representation of a miniscule Yajna form. Overhere incense stick symbolizes the Yajna materials and the flame lamp as Ghee offered to the Yajna fire. Whenever auspicious activities are carried out some form of a Yajna too is performed. It maybe an actual Yajna or a representation of it by lighting incense sticks and flame lamp (Deepak) as mentioned above.

The point that needs cogitation is why have Yajnas been given a prime spot in Indian culture? As an answer to this we can surely say that the more one dives deep into the concept of Yajnas the more its mysteries unfold. It then becomes crystal clear that Yajnas have their basis in both science and divine wisdom. Al those principles that back both material and spiritual advancement are embedded in seed form within the concept of Yajnas. The very vital principles of peace and bliss both individually and universally manifest superbly through the medium of sacred Yajnas.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_2.htm

The deep import of Yajna connotes spirituality and also an act of generosity. According to Sanskrit language Yajna comes from its root ‘Yaja’ which has 3 meanings viz. 1) divinity 2) congregation 3) charity. These 3 are divine streams which augment great qualities in both the individual and world at large. Divinity means a sacred character full of divine qualities. Congregation means unity, cooperation and world brotherhood. Charity means commitment to social well being and aiming to realize the dream of ‘World united peacefully as a family’. In other words it means creating “A BEAUTIFUL BORDERLESS WORLD”. Thus Yajna represents all these 3 streams of activities. It can also be called a flag that represents these various activities. The flaming red torch of Jnana Yajna (Wisdom) is also called the representative of this Yajna Fire. Thought Revolution and Ritambhara Prajna or Divine Intellect is the vital force of Super Mantra Gayatri. Within the Yajna movement devotees are given due inspiration to translate pious qualities into wholesome professional, social and other actions. The basis of progress lies in knowledge and actions. Pious actions are called penance and sacred wisdom is called Yoga. Even for material progress intense perseverance and education are emphasized upon. Within them one gets a glimpse of Gayatri and Yajna precepts.

The Spiritual Philosophy of life’s Yajna makes man great and full of glory. Along with the concept of cosmic consciousness (Almighty Lord for the layman) Vedas exhort us to partake Yajnaavashishta (sanctified remnants of Yajna offerings). He who eats without sharing with others is called a cheat and a thief. There are many Vedic Sooktas (verses) which say that demigods attained divinity through the medium of Yajnas. Over here world humanity is commanded to work for world welfare. In a nutshell we can say that Yajna philosophy motivates world humanity to imbibe a great character at the individual level and at the world level a sense of brotherhood and unity by working selflessly for its material and spiritual progress. This is that supreme path which will help us attain all round advancement both individually and cosmically.

While describing the subtle inspirations imbued in the iconic image of Yajnas a very appropriate teaching is given to individuals to maintain inner/external purity and this make the world potent both materially and spiritually. This teaching is so extraordinary that it is difficult to find its match in other sacred scriptures. The Fire of Yajna manifests so many special qualities as follows:

1)     Always keep the head high-even if there is a problem never allow the head to droop down

2)     We must treat everyone whom we come in contact with as our equals.

3)     Whatever one procures or earns must not be hoarded but used for world peace and prosperity.

4)     Never allow lack as far as heat and light is concerned to attack your very existence.

5)     Always utilize your material and spiritual prowess for world well being.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_2.htm

According to the Rig-Veda Yagna Fire is a Purohit (priest) appointed by Almighty God and despite the speech remaining mute it inspires world denizens to aspire for all round progress and peace via its activities. If apt social education is imparted wherein first one understands the importance of the above 5 glories and then putting them into practice divinity can manifest in mankind and heaven like situation will manifest on Earth. Thus Satyuga or Golden Age that reigned in ancient times can return with greater vim and vigor for a long time span to come. The tricolor of India’s flag symbolizes the 3 principles on which India’s progress is based on. If only a wisdom and sacred sentimental based description of the 5 inspirations of Yajna Fire can be given they can easily be imbibed both by the individual and society at large for all round growth. For era Transformation to manifest in a full fledged manner along with a radiant world future these ideals must be etched firmly in the psyche of world humanity.

It is said that after performing Yajnas demigods attained divinity. It is also said that only via Yajnas can true Brahmin-hood manifest in animal-men. One third of the 6 endeavors executed by Brahmins have to be devoted to performing Yajnas and helping other laymen do so. From an indirect standpoint within these proclamations the grandeur of those precepts pertaining to purity and brilliance are pinpointed which are the foundation stones of the very life force of yajna and world peace/brotherhood. The entire cycle of individual and society, nature and creation circumambulates on the axis of the Wheel of Yajnas. It is the Yajna Philosophy of generous cooperation that creates situations of activeness, good management, advancement and joy/peace in every nook and corner of the world. The life of the human chariot works fine simply because all its parts (organs like heart, lungs etc) work in tandem. Ere these organs harbor narrow minded attitudes, selfishness, vanity and refuse to cooperate with one another our life’s journey will end on the spot. The Water Cycle of nature is crystal clear: Clouds get water from the ocean, earth from clouds, rivers from earth and ocean from flowing rivers. If even one leg of this cycle is obstructed know for sure that our planet Earth will sizzle like blazing infernos. In the Living Being Cycle, living beings devour plants. Plants in turn get their food from the feces and urine of living beings. Both are mutually related to one another. Plants exhale oxygen which is a life support for many creatures, especially human beings. In turn human beings exhale carbon dioxide gas which is inhaled for sustenance by the plant kingdom. The same magnanimous cooperation exists between animals and human beings. This is Yajna according to the Vedas and thus the Wheel of Creation/Time keeps rotating. By imbibing the true concept of Yajna man gets a golden opportunity to rise higher in life especially in comparison to other beings. But when this sacred ideal is ignored innumerous dire situations are witnessed the world over. When the sacred activities of Yajna are imbibed truly every problem will find its solution. Human welfare and Yajna ideals are 2 legs of one single tenet. Hence the author of Bhagwad Geeta says: Prajaapati created human beings and Yajnas simultaneously and proclaimed that if they worked for mutual welfare in tandem not one of them will lack joy, peace and a stress free life. This great tenet of world well being is called Yajna Philosophy. In order that the world is educated in this respect Agnihotra (fire sacrifice) in the form of an iconic solution has been revered as a leading religious/spiritual activity.

Yajna also encompasses material science. Yajnas contribute gigantically by purifying foul air and rendering it very fragrant. Thus man’s very life support viz. air/oxygen is rendered clean and pollution free. Today air pollution has become a very big world problem and hence if the concept of Yajna is given due importance air pollution can be destroyed from its very roots.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/new_page_2.htm

Yajna Energy abounds with power to destroy bacteria and other germs that cause various diseases. We are quite sure such an easy, widespread and cheap method of healing has yet to be unearthed to date. Ancient spiritual texts are full of healing methods both as far as the mind and physical body are concerned. If only these pages are opened and referred to avidly not only bodily but psychological/psychiatric illnesses too can be tackled very efficiently. Amongst various healing methods the world over Yajna healing can get predominance simply because its healing herbs are administered with great ease in the human body via very subtle/pure air. Today medicines are administered using very gross mediums and hence they fail to penetrate very deeply into the various organs of the body. If today’s world situation is analyzed very deeply what stands out that more than physical diseases it is vile mental taints like bad habits, addiction to drugs etc, criminal tendencies, unruliness, anger, erroneous thinking, hatred and a stressful life which gives more hardships to world humanity. Thus when Yajna Therapy will be presented in a very compact form to the entire world it will surely help overcome mental stress and bodily diseases in a big way.

The cosmic widespread influence of Yajna programs result in benefits like Parjanya especially in drought and famine conditions. The gross meaning of Parjanya is clouds and hence rains. But the subtle meaning is rain of Vital Force. In the ancient times of the Yajna Era heavy rains lashed out in all corners of the world. For this special Yajnas can be conducted pertaining to rain bearing cloud formation. Even today, many a time this Yajna technique has given wonderful results wherein it rained on otherwise parched and arid lands. And yet Parjanya should not be restricted to showering of rain water. Instead the deeper meaning is said to be the Vital Force Principle which via the medium of Yajnas is formed in space and via wind and clouds it gets showered as Vital Force rain water. This rain of Vital Force neo creates the inner personality of both animate and inanimate beings (an outstanding method of personality development). This Vital Force based Parjanya nourishes and makes more potent materials like plants, herbs, water, food, air, milk etc which are vital for man’s sustenance. Their power augments manifold. With the result if any animal, bird, human being etc utilize these their radiance will surely go in the upward direction in an untold manner. This attainment doubtlessly will aid all round progress of the entire world.

More than purification of air it is more prudent to sanctify the world’s atmosphere. Pure air aids good health. The atmosphere influences every nook of our personality and hence in its development. In turn it gives a positively wholesome direction to our previously wayward thinking process. Thus a strong foundation of transformation of our actions (social, professional etc) is laid down. The Yuga Nirmaan Mission aims at sanctifying world psyche from its very grass roots. For this no doubt, activities of propaganda and creativity are required, writings and speeches on this subject are welcome but remember that these gross endeavors cannot fully influence and transform those sensitive layers of the human psyche. In fact the very flow of the subtle world will have to be reversed. The atmosphere definitely is influenced by winter, summer, rains etc and this in turn will transform world circumstances by leaps and bound. In the same way, if the measure of greatness inspiring elements augment a great deal in the subtle atmosphere it will be a tad easier to flow along with the general trends of the world. When it becomes windy the speed of a boat picks up a lot. A certain wholesome atmosphere needs to be created if a bright world future has to set in. This is where Gayatri Yajnas step in and take over the mantle of inducing, a conducive subtle atmosphere.

THE HUMBLE SCIENTIFIC ENDEAVOR OF BRAHMAVARCHAS RESEARCH INSTITUTE

12 May

Almighty God has given man His very own form. From the standpoint of consciousness all those Divine Powers that the Creator (God) possesses are found in the deep recesses of the human psyche albeit in latent form. In this manner all the power and energy present in the macrocosm (cosmos) is present in the microcosm (human psyche). The microcosm is the smallest unit of the macrocosm. All functional aspects of the Solar System are found in its smallest unit i.e. the atom. The divine glory of God exists in individual souls. It is hence that man is called the “Prince” of God who is the “King” or ruler of this cosmos. Vedanta Philosophy very articulately proclaims that the living being (Jiva) and cosmic consciousness (God) are one i.e. non-dual or Advaita.

And yet the obvious question that needs to be answered is: If a creature and God are one how come such gigantic differences are seen between both? If indeed man is a “Prince” of that God who abounds with divine wealth, why is he (human being) so poor and weak? Great seers while answering this all important question opine that although it is true that man possesses all the divine glories of God, this divine wealth lies latent in his psyche/soul. It is like a seed that contains an entire tree or that a locked vault contains untold precious jewels. Thus the locked vault of Divine Powers in man’s psyche needs to be opened via the ‘key’ of intense spiritual efforts (Sadhana). Spiritual practices are called Sadhana and they reap rich dividends on the basis of apt psychic credentials (Paatrata) and ethics in ones day to day life. It is only when man passes this most important test that he can become a master of the divine wealth of the cosmos. The principle of “Sadhana say Sidhi” or “Attaining the goal via spiritual endeavor” is well known. The philosophy of spiritual endeavor is equivalent to scientific inventions and discoveries. Today man with his intense efforts and sharp intellect has unearthed many material powers via scientific research. Great scientific endeavors have today given us material energy tapped from sources like steam, radio, atom etc.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/brahmavarchas’_scientific_research_of_spiritual_sciences.htm

The human body is like an infinite storehouse of precious jewels i.e. divine wealth. If only via spiritual practices man awakens this divine glory all those Divine Powers attained by Rishis, saints, seers of yore and today can be attained by him too. Sadhana is nothing but awakening the latent divine potentials that lie untapped in the deep cave of man’s psyche and soul.

Human existence can be called an all encompassing scientific laboratory. The human body enfolds all powers/energies of nature albeit in seed form. Human consciousness harbors in seed form God’s unlimited divine consciousness. In order to attain cosmic consciousness those efforts are required akin to first sowing a seed in fertile soil, watering it and helping it bloom forth like a skillful gardener who looks after his various plants and trees. Although the atom possesses infinite potent nuclear energy, it can be tapped only by adept scientists with their scientific tools. For a layman this task is well nigh impossible. In order that an embryo grows into a human baby (after the male’s sperm unites with the female’s ovum) it has to mature in its mother’s womb for 9 months on an average. This is called “Sadhana say Sidhi” i.e. “Making due efforts to attain the goal”. In order to become a scholar, wrestler, boxer, artist, scientist, businessman etc intense efforts are required. In the same way if one desires to awaken latent Divine Powers in ones soul intense efforts are required (Sadhana) so as to witness miraculous results. Soul advancement spiritual practices are termed as high stature endeavors.

Spiritual practices are a science by themselves. One requires aid of spiritual philosophy so as to make sacred and pure ones inner sentiments, beliefs, aspirations and thinking. This is also called Jnana Yoga or Yoga of Wisdom. Hence one needs to pursue mental reflection, meditation, concentration etc. An all round progress can be achieved by associating with realized saints, seers and studying sacred scriptures with deep devotion. To put this in a nutshell this itself is Spiritual Philosophy or the Yoga of Wisdom. Within it predominantly the principle of mental reflection in a focused manner is deployed.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/brahmavarchas’_scientific_research_of_spiritual_sciences.htm

The other important leg of spiritual endeavor is Kriya Yoga wherein physical or bodily movements too are taken recourse to. It encompasses Asan (posture), Pranayam, Bandha, Mudra, vows, fasts, pilgrimages, Mantra chanting or Japa, Yajna or fire sacrifices etc. Thus true spiritual endeavor revolves around both, Dhyana Yoga or Meditation and Kriya Yoga (includes Hatha Yoga too).

There was a time centuries back that like Modern Science of today, Spiritual Sciences ruled the roost. In it within the laboratory of the human body Divine Powers were manifested in the individual’s body. These benefits were termed Sidhis by seers of yore. As against this Ridhis are psychic and sentimental glories attained via purification of ones consciousness and psyche. In ancient times spiritual seekers who underwent spiritual practices attained both Ridhis and Sidhis. If one compares the benefits attained by today’s modern scientific research they significantly pale in front of the achievements of spiritual seers of ancient times. The laboratory of Spiritual Science is the human body and hence it does not require external apparatus like fuel, technology, chemicals and other apparatus used in a modern science laboratory. And yet despite being so priceless Spiritual Science it can easily be availed of by entire world humanity. It is a divine gift of God and that indeed is man’s good fortune.

Spiritual endeavor is said to be supreme amongst all human endeavors. It is a means via which man can attain both material and spiritual benefits. In the Sadhana Age or the Era of Spiritual Practices, Spiritual Science was in full vogue and very well imbibed the world over. There was both zeal and zest in that era. But alas! Today man is full of greed, envy and avarice. An externalized mind seeks joy and glory in external objects. Today because of a maddening fast life none has the time to self introspect and discover the untold divine wealth lying hidden in the cave of his/her psyche. Man just refuses to give up his lustful, indolent and sensual life and thus master his mind so as to attain the greatness attained by seers and Rishis of ancient times. On the one hand a major chunk of world humanity erroneously discarded this profound science and hence simultaneously the number of great seers and sages of spiritual sciences too diminished drastically. If demand depletes the number of ‘buyers’ decrease and hence the number of ‘sellers’ too decrease in tandem. At present in the name of “Yoga” deluded concepts have come into vogue (blind leading the blind). No doubt one finds hordes of so called “Yoga Gurus” who sell fantastic dreams to gullible aspirants. The latter just have no clue whether their teacher is genuine or fake. As a result the number of genuine Yoga Gurus and Preceptors who are the only ones who can help laymen reach their spiritual destination is dangerously declining as days pass by. That Great Spiritual Science has been replaced by nothing but vain deluded proclamations akin to a peg of alcohol. Today in the name of spiritual practice mere lip service is being doled out to a large number of gullible people. And hence both the layman and intellectual class harbor aversion for it.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/brahmavarchas’_scientific_research_of_spiritual_sciences.htm

Today we realize that the need of the hour is to research into the ancient Spiritual Sciences in a modern scientific manner and thus understand its aptness, true state and form. This is the way we can transform atheism into theism. Since Spiritual Sciences are infinitely more potent and beneficial than Material Science, it should not lie in a hapless ruined state as is seen today. In order to solve this problem once and for all we have established the Brahmavarchas Research Institute. Within its realm the human body is looked upon as a laboratory and intense efforts are being made to manifest Divine Powers that so far existed latently in man’s psyche. For this it was most required that in this modern scientific age necessary proof be made available to the highly intellectual class of world humanity. Only then will even the layman accept its true credentials and imbibe them wholeheartedly.

The Spiritual Science of the area of consciousness is called Super Divine Wisdom Gayatri (Mahaprajna Gayatri). That science which influences material nature (Prakriti) is called Agnihotra. Both are mutually conjoined to one another as a pair. Both are mutually dependent on one another. Agnihotra is most required for ripening and manifesting man’s conscious potentials. It is like exposing bricks into a furnace for toughening them up or like making our speech more audible by using a microphone. When fire and water unite steam manifests which is used to run trains. Programs heard on radios mainly use electrical energy. Similarly within the realm of spiritual practices (Sadhana) Gayatri manifests via the combination of sentimental consciousness and word power (Shabda Shakti). This Gayatri is hence made more prolific via the divine energy of Agnihotra. Gayatri symbolizes Yoga of Sacred Sentiments and Agnihotra symbolizes Kriya Yoga. Gayatri and Yajna are said to be the Mother and Father of Indian culture. Within the field of spiritual endeavor they are compared to Prana (Vital Force) and the physical body. The first step of transformation and purification of the psyche and body is development of a pious character and ethical dealings in ones day to day social and professional life. It is only then that one can enter the portals of spiritual practices.

The Brahmavarchas Research Institute is targeting its research on those areas that are related to the goals of various spiritual practices. We are trying to prove that Gayatri Mantra Word Power is not some ordinary ‘mutterings’ and that it instead activates via incitement our conscious arena. Which precepts are involved in radiating our character and personality and how does it influence the environment? This is being seriously studied at the Brahmavarchas Research Institute. Word Power is an intense and terrific form of divine energy. Various creatures inwardly contact one another with its help. It is the fount of spiritual wisdom and modern scientific laws. Thus we must deeply understand that Mantra Power can be used optimally in ones self/soul unfolding, for helping in others advancement and transforming both the gross and subtle atmosphere of the world in a very positive manner.

Another major research area dealt with by the Brahmavarchas Research Institute is the mysteries of the Science of Mantra Chanting called Japa. Over here we are mainly concentrating on Super Mantra Gayatri. Very advanced scientific technical apparatus is being used in or hi-fi laboratory to analyze the potential of Word Power while chanting Mantras. When we hold spiritual camps for our devotees we also scientifically study the results of Mantras chanted by them. So far the results indicate that Mantra Energy is n-fold more powerful than Yantra Energy (machines and technology).

http://www.shriramsharma.com/brahmavarchas’_scientific_research_of_spiritual_sciences.htm

It is erroneous to believe that Agnihotra is simply a lit pyre of fire. Instead know for sure that it is our Vital Force that manifests a ‘divine fire’. In that not only are divine herbs made more subtle that influence a vast area but that the devotees’ Mantra Power sanctifies and makes more powerful their Vital Force energy (Prana Urja). Hence its widespread influence is indeed gigantic and cosmic in nature. Great seers of yore proclaim in one voice that Yajnas improve our physical health, purify our will power and augment divinity in our soul force. Hence they are said to be priceless means of remedial measures and ones all round progress. Further global pollution which is cause for serious concern all over the world can be greatly warded off via Yajnas and Mantra Chanting. It is strongly believed that rains can be invoked via Yajnas. It is prudent to note that over here ‘rains’ does not simply mean monsoon season but that the cosmic vital energy ‘rains’ on Earth so as to add more vim and vigor in our plant life, other creatures and of course human beings too.

If we make intense efforts to understand the true utility of the above benefits and thus make optimal and apt use of them a bright future is in the offing for world humanity and thus various problems faced by us can be easily overcome. In this manner the Brahmavarchas Research Institute of Shantikunj (Haridwar, Uttaranchal, India) is scientifically studying all the principles and tenets that are the foundation stones of the Science of Sadhana (spiritual practices). The progress attained via Spiritual Sciences should no way be looked upon as superficial in comparison to the advancement attained via Modern Material Science. Apart from Gayatri and Agnihotra, Spiritual Camps organized by us deals with other forms of spiritual practices too. Its results are being minutely noted via scientific experimentation techniques. When spiritual seekers are made to undergo high leveled spiritual practices of Brahmavarchas not only is their initial and final inner state is noted but that the high-low and pendulum-like state that they go through in between too is being focused on deeply. It is only then that we can truly understand the important basis of Soul Science, the method of spiritual endeavor and the underlying principle behind it. In this computer age of “I believe only that which I perceive with my 5 senses” it is most required that we prove beyond doubt to both, the laymen and highly intellectual class, the importance of both material and spiritual tenets. This is exactly the task taken up on a war footing by the Brahmavarchas Research Institute.

The most important aspect of Mysticism is to understand deeply the benefits of interstellar space radiations and other potentials on our planet Earth and that along with staving off side effects we make optimum gains with its aid. Keeping this in mind a laboratory has been set up at Shantikunj to study and note interstellar space movements and states. On the basis of these calculations and other mathematical calculations a new Panchang shall be published. In that not only the planets discovered by ancient seers but those discovered by modern science like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto too will be dealt with. It will encompass Panchangs of various regions and method of making a Kundli (horoscope) of a person born in a particular place. Greater emphasis is being laid on the influence of interstellar space emissions on the Earth’s atmosphere and all creatures dwelling on it. On the basis of this finding we can find methods of balancing varied circumstances that visit our daily life. Today Astrology is called ‘blind belief’ but with our systematic scientific analysis this will not be the case in the coming years. It is certainly not an overstatement if we call this the total transformation of Astrological Sciences.

LIBERATION FROM MATERIAL BONDAGE VIA A SPIRITUAL VISION

10 May

HOW ARE MATERIAL OBJECTS REAL DESPITE US SEEING THEM DIRECTLY WITH OUR GROSS EYES

An important question to be dealt with is: Is what we see, understand and experience with our 5 senses true in the absolute sense? At the gross level the immediate answer will be in the affirmative. This is because there is no reason to say that things perceived, seen by us are illusory. We are so dependent on the dictates of our sense organs and mind that we think that objects, individuals and circumstances are absolutely true. And yet if we delve deep into this question the answer is that the so called proof of reality of objects given by our sense organs is unfulfilled and illusory in nature.

Various scriptural scholars since time immemorial have advised us all not to believe our sense organs that say that our daily experiences are true and instead maintain that we should develop a spiritual vision. If we insist on accepting that all that we see and experience is the ultimate truth we sure will face many uncomfortable situations. This can be proved by the ancient example of the proverbial deer running after a mirage in the dessert in order to quench its thirst. In desserts like Sahara etc travelers have often come across mirages which from a distance look like a pond of water. A thirsty deer in a dessert runs after this mirage to quench its thirst. The eyes of the deer tells it that there is water at a few furlongs away but the more the deer tries to reach this ‘pond’ the more the latter ‘runs’ afar. Ultimately the thirsty deer accepts defeat. Another example is that of a rainbow. Try as much as you can but you can never ‘catch’ the illusory rainbow. The brilliance of solar rays that fall on water creates an illusion in our eyes and thus our eyes tell us that there is a tangible rainbow. Yet the fact remains that the rainbow is but an illusion harbored by our gross eyes.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_religion_of_future-scientific_religion.htm

Take the example of a movie. We see pictures laughing, crying, walking etc on the screen. It seems very amazing and miraculous. But the question asked is whether all this movement clearly visible to the gross eye is real and true?  Individual pictures which move at 16 second cannot be seen individually by our eyes. As a result an illusory moving scene is created. Individual pictures which are actually unmoving can be seen moving by our gross eyes due to the creation of an illusion. Voices emanating from loudspeakers come from one place and the picture is at another place. Yet our eyes and ears are fooled into believing that the picture is actually talking, singing etc.

At dawn in the morning and twilight in the evening the sky manifests amazing hues. Yet are these colors truly real? Actually these different hues do not exist but because solar rays create an illusory effect in our eyes, we all notice these colors. The sky appears to be blue in color but the fact remains that no such blue color exists in space. Our eyes under the influence of illusion ‘sees’ this blue color and fools our intellect in the process.

The function of the human eye is to understand the nature of an object via color perception. Yet the fact remains that majority of the times our eyes succumb to illusory effects and thus gives us wrong information. Let us study the following examples. The chimneys of mills and factories emit a lot of smoke. If you minutely analyze the color of smoke, it differs now and then. When the base of the chimney has trees, buildings etc that are not lit up the smoke color seems black. Bang opposite to this if the building trees etc are lit up with sunshine the smoke appears to be brownish. When smoke emitted from burning coal, wood etc is exposed to sunlight its color appears yellowish. In actuality smoke is colorless. The illusory color is due to the designing of the carbon atom and other material present on fuel. Light gets reflected away from it and thus smoke seems black in color.

In the rail engine the tube of the boiler emits blue steam but when it enters atmospheric air, its particles become larger and appear white in color.

There are many factories which use low quality coal and hence the smoke emitted is dark black in color. If one visualizes the sun through this smoke, the sun appears like dark red.

Many types of germs, bacteria etc are present in water which cannot be seen by the naked eye. They can be seen only with the help of a microscope. With our eyes we can see many stars in space but the fact is that there are infinitely more stars not perceived by our eyes. Thus since our eyes have limited capacity we take the help of gigantic telescopes to view those innumerable stars not seen by our naked eyes.

Even today we are unable to fathom the deeper layers and units of an atom despite the phenomenal success achieved by modern science. Its more gross aspect has been calculated via subtle mathematical calculations. No doubt scientific technology has helped in finding out the overall design of the atom and yet mathematical calculations based on inference have been of much greater help in the research of the structure of the atom.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_religion_of_future-scientific_religion.htm

In order to find true reality we will have to make more widespread and all encompassing our research and testing methods. It is a great error on our part to rely only on information given by our 5 sense organs. Today majority of research laboratories base their testing methods on the ‘direct proof’ given by the 5 sense organs. Hence many a times they fail to come to the right conclusion. In the previous paragraphs we have detailed the fact as to how our eyes can be misled into giving wrong information like the sky appearing to be blue in color when in actuality this is far from the truth. If we insist on relying on our 5 sense organs only then we are bound to stray in darkness for eons together. Modern science uses scientific methods to prove many ancient beliefs and superstitions as false. Despite this if modern science insists on believing that their 5 sense organs are the final proof of all research conducted then know for sure that they have come out of the iron cage of superstitions etc (which is required) only to enter the golden cage of so called direct proof offered by the senses.

Leaving aside some gross facts whatever we see, hear etc as far as other aspects are concerned is believed to be absolutely true. Yet the fact remains that we are far from the truth. We are very much used to believing our day to day experiences with the help of the 5 senses as absolute truth. And yet if we go deeper into all this we will realize that time and again our senses have led us in the wrong direction. In fact our 5 senses give us various experiences solely on the basis of some gross beliefs. If these beliefs are changed then our previous conclusions and inferences too will have to change automatically.

Our brain centre has the capacity to give levels of information that is very common. If we remain satisfied with this then we can say that whatever we see, experience etc is truth. Yet the bare fact remains that our very hypothesis on which our 5 senses and brain function is itself erroneous to a great extent. Hence how can such an intellect realize the absolute truth and reality? This question is so tedious that it is very difficult to answer with ease.

While selling fruits, vegetables etc weighing scales are made use of. The basis on which we measure weight itself is based on a hypothesis. Without this all businesses will come to a grinding halt. Yet the question remains as to whether our very basis of weighing materials is true in itself? When one thinks deeply about this our intellect will get rattled. Weight by itself has no existence since it is very relative. Weight of an object is nothing but the force required to obstruct the influence of earth’s gravitational force on the object.  An object that weighs 37.33 kg on earth weighs 18.7 kg when raised at a height of 3.5 miles. The more you raise an object higher up in the air the more weight it sheds. There is an area between earth and the moon wherein if an object is weighed there it will be weightless. Even if a gigantic mountain like Everest is placed there it will be weightless. This mountain will hang in space in this area. The force of gravitation on other planets is varied. The weight of an object on planet earth will differ significantly when weighed on other planets like Mars, Neptune etc. Thus we can conclude that weight of any object is relative. This is because weight depends on certain hypothesis and circumstances.

In our daily transactions we make use of the measure of speed a great deal. Speed too is as important as weight. We can reach from one place to another with the help of various vehicle options like car, plane, ship etc which have various speeds to cover distances. But the question asked is whether the basis on which speed is calculated is factual or hypothetical?

While writing something seated on a chair and table we feel we are not moving and instead are steady. Yet it is a fact that we are moving at a speed of 1000 miles per hour in one direction. This is the movement of planet Earth. It is because we all dwell on Earth, we too perforce move while the Earth is revolving and rotating on its axis. Our sense organs fail to experience this speedy movement and hence it is under the illusion that or body is steady and unmoving. The sense organs experience movement only when we walk, ride a horse, move in a car etc.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_religion_of_future-scientific_religion.htm

The Earth rotates on its axis and hence we come back to our original position after moving for 24 hours. But even this is not totally correct because the Earth revolves round the sun at a speed of 666,000 miles per hour. The Earth returns to its original position in space after 365 days or 1 year. Even this is not totally true because the sun revolves around the ‘Super Sun’ along with the Earth and other planets of the solar system. Further this ‘Super Sun’ too revolves around another ‘Super Sun’ and God alone knows how many more such cycles of circumambulations take place. Hence the gist of all this is that we cannot return to the same destination in which we are situated today at least in this birth of ours. If we move from our space we do so eternally. And yet our deluded minds insist on falsely conveying to us that we are static all the time and that we are not moving along with planetary etc movements.

The measurement of speed too is illusory just akin to that of area. If 2 trains move side by side at the same speed it will appear as though both are moving and swaying identically. If 2 cars approach each other from opposite directions at a speed of 40 miles/hour they will feel as though their car speed is 80 miles/hour when they whiz past side by side. Same is the case with 2 trains that move in opposite directions (side by side). They too will feel that the speed is double while they pass each other. If the speed and direction of the movement of other planets, galaxies etc were to be ditto as that of Earth interstellar space too would appear motionless and static. The sun, stars etc would never arise nor set under such circumstances. All planets etc would remain where they were for eternity. At that time despite all of them moving at same speeds they would appear motionless.

Speed is very much relative. One can measure speed in many ways. If you subtract 90 from 100, 10 remain. If you minus 20 from 30 or 40 from 50 even then 10 remain. In order to get the same difference (10 in the above example) different sets of numbers are made use of. Despite these varied numbers the difference remains the same. If you want the difference to be 1000 you can use so many numbers to get this difference. The same holds true for measuring speed. Ancient geography specialists measured speed by saying that the sun is motionless. Lunar/solar eclipses, the rising and setting of stars, planets of the solar system which gives day and night etc too has so far been measured on this basis. Yet the measurements have been totally apt so far. Despite this the premise that the sun is motionless which aids in the above measurements itself is baseless and false. When illusory premises give correct results how does one differentiate between the true and false. When one deeply reflects on this subject one’s intellect becomes dizzy.

In ones daily transactions it is necessary to measure distances. Without this travel would not be possible. The Earth is divided into latitudes and longitudes. Without measuring distances air travel etc would be well nigh impossible. The 10 directions (north, south etc) are an important basis for ones successful travel. And yet by themselves they too are illusory and have no absolute existence.

If you gaze at a very large pond while traveling beside it in a parallel manner it will appear that it is absolutely straight. Yet the fact is that after traveling for sometime you will reach the original position from where you started. This is because the pond is circular in nature. Even if you draw a straight line on a rubber ball, it will actually be circular. A straight line is one whose 2 ends never meet and that the distance between them is constant. In the above case of the pond and ball, a so called straight line too is ultimately circular. Even if you draw a straight line on a piece of paper, floor etc it will ultimately be circular and never straight. Minute circular lines may never be identified by us yet they will always be circular. The ground which appears flat to the naked eye too is in reality circular. The sea appears flat and yet when ships travel in it, it becomes clear that just like the ground on which water exists, the sea too is circular. The point at which the sky and sea appear to meet is called horizon. Whenever you watch this horizon it will always appear to be at a distance of 3 miles from where you stand gazing at it. If you stand at a height of 200 feet above the ground the horizon appears to be at a distance of 20 miles. All this proves that the Earth is a globe i.e. round. Despite this our naked eyes cannot perceive the Earth to be circular. Thus our measurements of distances too are faulty.

The Moon is definitely seen to be higher up in space when gazed at from Earth but if after landing on Moon you gaze at Earth the latter seems to be higher up. If we could manage to station ourselves in interstellar space beyond the solar system it will be clear that there is nothing like north, south, east etc. Meaning no directions exist. Thus directions too are very much relative and not absolute. New Delhi (in India) is west of Lucknow, east of Mumbai, north of Chennai and south of Haridwar. Thus when directions to reach Delhi are given they are relative and that by itself Delhi is directionless.

In worldly transactions time measurement is very much important. It is on the basis of time that offices open/close, railways/buses run etc. Our daily life revolves around time. Yet the premise or basis of time too is no less faulty. The time designated for sunrise and sunset is not as we actually believe it to be. When we actually see the sun arising, the fact remains that it had already arisen 8.5 minutes previously. This time is the time taken by solar rays to reach Earth. When we see the sun setting at dusk it has actually done so 8.5 minutes previously. There are many stars in the sky which although visible to us today have actually set thousands of years previously. This illusion is the result of the light of stars reaching Earth after thousands of years. We become actually aware of the stars setting after thousands of years. The same holds true for all the planets, satellites of the solar system. They have arisen or set much before or after the time calculated by Indian astrologers in their Panchangs (diary).

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_religion_of_future-scientific_religion.htm

One may visualize a star in the sky as straight ahead of us yet this need not be true. Light does not always travel in a straight line. Light rays too are material in nature and that it too can be weighed. Light rays falling on an area 1 mile in diameter for 1 minute weighs 1 ounce approx. It is but natural that gravitational force influences objects. When light of various stars enter the solar system it becomes zigzag or staggered in form because of the influence of the force of attraction of sun and the other planets. Despite this our eyes fail to perceive this staggered light and instead out of illusion we see it as straight. It is quite possible that it lies on the periphery of another star, sun or planet yet our eyes see this light as straight. In the same way if our eyes see a star right above our head in the sky the reality is that it could be much lower or diagonal  than the position seen by us. In this manner not only directional data but also time measurements too are no less illusory in the absolute sense.

Philosophical discussions do include time and space related topics. This space is certainly not some country, region on Earth etc nor is time an hour, minute etc. All these are only technical terms. The length, width and breadth of an object is called space and changes taking place in them is called time. Ordinarily objects are seen on the basis of its length, width and breadth whereas while discussing and describing it the 4th ‘dimension’ of time too should be included. But the problem is that speed and direction keep varying and are illusory too. Time is itself based on them and hence if the basis itself is erroneous how can the result of time be apt? Even if objects are said to be 4 dimensional instead of 3 yet this problem remains unsolved. What exactly are objects? What are its form, nature and quality? This cannot be described in totality because the manner in which its atoms move speedily disproves our description of it in the very next moment because of its uncertain position (something like the great scientist Heisenberg’s principle).

What is big and what is small? Even this question cannot be answered satisfactorily. A stick measuring 5 feet is smaller than another which is 6 feet and is bigger than a stick of 4 feet. A tree trunk with a diameter of 2 feet is thinner than another of 3 feet and is thicker than that which has a diameter of 1 foot. We cannot say whether an object is in absolute terms. An object is labeled thin or thick only with reference to another object. By itself it is neither thick nor thin.

Who is rich, who is poor, who is happy, who is sad, who is a saint and who is a rogue? These questions cannot be answered in absolute terms because all these qualities (richness, poverty etc) are relative in nature. Before let us say calling a person rich or poor we must find out whom we are comparing this person with? With reference to a beggar a person who has a job that pays him 1000 dollars per month the latter is rich. A person with only 1 sorrow in life is happy when compared to another who has 4 sorrows to contend with in life. Thus is reality we cannot say as to who truly is happy or sad. With reference to a dacoit a small time robber is more gentlemanly but with reference to a person of good character the robber is lowly. With reference to a great saint a man of good character is lower in stature. With reference to an Avatar or Prophet of God a great saint too is if a lesser class.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_religion_of_future-scientific_religion.htm

We measure objects, individuals, situations etc only in relation to one another. Comparison is the highest measure used by us all to make ‘apt’ decisions. What exactly are the things which we measure? It is very difficult for our sharp intellect to decipher them because all of them are limited and not omnipotent in nature. In fact in a certain sense they can be called illusory too. In movie theatres pictures are seen moving on the screen whereas in reality each picture is static. These individual pictures move so fast that our eyes fail to see them in a static manner. Thus out of illusion we see these otherwise static photos in motion. Meaning actors are seen to walk, eat, run etc.

Many a times our experiences are bang opposite to the actual situation. Our senses (eyes, ears etc) not only give false information but also tend to give non-existent illusory information. If we insist on depending on our sense organs to give apt information i.e. think direct visible proof as the be all and end all of life not only can we not attain true divine wisdom but that we will fail to even understand it.

For example take the concept of light. What exactly is light? It is an eddy of electro-magnetic waves. The fact as to whether it is intense or weak depends on its measure but yet its overall effect is singular. It moves at a terrific speed of 1 lakh 86 thousand miles/hour (I mile=1.61 km). Light rays have 7 colors. Various types of admixtures of these 7 colors give other resultant colors.

THE TANGIBLE MIRACLES OF GAYATRI MEDITATION/WORSHIP

9 May

THE ALL POWERFUL/OMNIPOTENT GAYATRI

Gayatri, Gita, Ganga and Gau (cow) are the 4 pillars of Indian culture. Amongst these Gayatri reigns supreme.

All Hindu scriptures, sects, Rishis etc proclaim in unison that Gayatri has a deep import and message for world humanity. In Atharva Veda (19/71/1) Gayatri has been eulogized wherein it is said that Gayatri meditation blesses its devotee with a long healthy life, a strong vital force (Prana), divine energy, fame, wealth and God Realization. Rishi Vishwaamitra says: No other Mantra of the Vedas is as glorious as Gayatri Mantra. All the Vedas, Yajnas, charities, austerities etc put together are a mere shadow of the all powerful Gayatri. Lord Manu says: Brahmaaji (creator of the world) has given us the true essence of the Vedas in the form of the Gayatri Mantra. Once the deep import of Gayatri is understood and imbibed truly, the entire Vedas will be understood by the devotee. Maharshi Yaajnavalkya says: Place all the Vedas in one pan of a weighing scale and the Gayatri Mantra in the other pan. Know for sure that the Gayatri pan will be much heavier.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_tangible_miracles_of_gayatri_meditation.htm

Rishi Parashar says: He who has not imbibed Gayatri deeply is indeed lowly (Shudra). Rishi Shankh says: Gayatri catches hold of a man’s hand about to fall into the ocean of hell and thus saves him from pain and anguish. Rishi     Shaunak says: Gayatri is that Divine Mother who gives birth to infinite material and spiritual wealth. Rishi Atri says: One who truly understands the deep import of the Gayatri principle shall no longer face any hardship of this material world. Vyaasji says: If one truly imbibes Gayatri it becomes a Kaamadhenu or wish fulfilling cow. The river Ganges washes off our bodily sins and Gayatri sanctifies our psyche/soul. Rishi Bhaaradwaaj says: Gayatri meditation helps us realize God/Self and man attains heaven and salvation (Moksha). Naradjee says that Gayatri is a direct incarnation of Divine Energy. Vasishthaji says: If a very lowly person who performs innumerous illegal and criminal act performs Gayatri devotion, he/she too can attain a very high inner spiritual state. There is such a great amount of literature in religious scriptures that deal with the greatness of Gayatri meditation that if all of them are published a new gigantic book will have to be printed.

Just like saints and Rishis of the past even contemporary wise saints and sages accept the greatness of Gayatri devotion. Mahatma Gandhi (Father of India) says that Gayatri Mantra chanted with a calm and steadfast mind helps one overcome even those obstacles which otherwise appear insurmountable. Lokmaanya Tilak says: Gayatri Mantra inspires us all to give up the path of falsehood, crime, illegality etc and instead march ahead on the path of truth, honesty, ethics and sacred ideals. Mahatma Madan Mohan Malvyaji says: Amongst all the priceless jewels given to world humanity by all saints and sages, Gayatri reigns supreme.

The great Indian poet and Nobel Laureate Raindranath Tagore says: Without any room for doubt Gayatri Mantra can awaken the soul of the entire nation. The great Yogi Shri Aurobindo opines that infinite energy rests in the Gayatri Mantra. Swami Ramkrishna Paramhans said that Gayatri Mantra bestows many Sidhis (divie powers) to its unswerving devotee. His disciple Swami Vivekanand maintains that Gayatri is the crest jewel amongst all other great Mantras. Adi Guru Shankaracharya says that it is impossible for the limited human intellect to describe the true greatness of Gayatri. Swami Ramtirth says that Gayatri wards off ‘Kama’ (desire) and replaces it with ‘Rama’ (God).

Maharshi Raman says: Gayatri gives its devotee both material and spiritual benefits. Swami Shivanandji says: Gayatri Mantra chanting keeps our body healthy and fit, ones character becomes radiant and pure, ones intellect becomes subtle, farsightedness augments and mental focus becomes very sharp.

The founder of Arya Samaj Swami Dayanand Saraswatiji was a great faithful devotee of Gayatri. He laid great stress on Gayatri devotion. Once, Swamiji told the Maharaja of Gwalior: It is more beneficial to perform Gayatri Purascharan (worship) instead of a Bhagwat Saptah (7 day discourse). Shri Dayandji had conducted Gayatri Yajnas on a gigantic scale in many regions with the help of about 40 Brahmins for each program (Anushthan).

Gayatri is the wish fulfilling cow of our material world. Man can fulfill all those desires which are appropriate and most required with Gayatri’s grace. It is also called nectar because it satiates the thirst of ones soul and thus established infinite/eternal peace. Gayatri is so omnipotent that it can overcome ones vicious cycle of birth and death i.e. one attains salvation. A devotee who clings to the ‘skirt’ of Mother Gayatri renounces lowliness and ascends to the peak of both material and spiritual peaks. Hence it is also called Paras Mani (touchstone). There is no restriction whatsoever as to who is eligible to chant the Gayatri Mantra. Thus a householder, mendicant, male, female, children, aged people etc have equal right to chant Gayatri. In short Gayatri is the birthright of entire world humanity. Ignoring this right is akin to neglecting ones righteous duty to execute meritorious deeds.

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_tangible_miracles_of_gayatri_meditation.htm

Gayatri Mantra transforms our psyche in a total and positive manner. As soon as a devotee starts chanting this Super Mantra he experiences certain movements in his/her psyche which in the long run benefits one both materially and spiritually. When Sattva Guna (purity of heart) augments vile qualities, bad thoughts, lowly character and feelings of hatred/enmity start diminishing significantly. Simultaneously positive qualities of the human mind like sweetness of speech, honesty, truthfulness, generosity, self control, humility, purity, zest, zeal, cosmic love, contentment, peace, service, oneness of soul etc augment in the devotee’s psyche more and more as days go by. As a result society at large is impressed by a Gayatri devotee’s character and activities and hence they eulogize this devotee, show gratefulness, harbor faith and respect this devotee. Time and again sincere Gayatri devotees are helped by one and all be it any corner of the globe. Further these divine qualities in a Gayatri devotee’s soul are so nectarine that the devotee swims in the ocean of divine love and supreme peace/contentment in his sacred soul. Such great devotees eternally rejoice in the heavenly love and peace of their cosmic soul.

Sincere Gayatri meditation results in an extraordinary transformation of one’s psyche. In the sense because sense of right/wrong, farsighted vision, spiritual values and a subtle divine wisdom augments all sorrows which have their basis in spiritual ignorance/blindness (Avidya) are destroyed from their very roots. As per ones destiny certain fruits of ones past actions one has to face dire situations in life. On the one hand laymen with ordinary limited psyches face circumstances like loss, agitations, obstacles, illnesses, hardships, separation etc with great suffering. On the other hand a Gayatri devotee full of a strong will power faces these very dire situations with wisdom, immense patience, steadfastness and valor. Such a devotee actually experiences God’s grace under all circumstances and hence smiles whether he/she encounters pain or joy (their psyche is perfectly balanced while facing dualities like profit-loss, pain-joy etc). Hence external circumstances of dualities can never affect the untold divine bliss he/she experiences at the soul level.

The supreme goal of all human lives is attaining a powerful soul force and it is the fruit of Gayatri meditation. Apart from this many material gains too are attained by a Gayatri devotee. These gains include overcoming illnesses, weakness, joblessness, business losses, household quarrels, mental taints, court cases, enemy attacks, lack of marital joy, intellectual weakness, unbalanced psyche, harassment of ones own children, problems of getting ones children married, apprehension of facing a bad future, fear of failing in ones exam, bad habits like drug/alcohol addiction etc. All these and many more material problems faced by us all daily can be warded off successfully via Gayatri devotion and meditation.

Behind all dire situations lies our erroneous attachment to material objects which in turn manifest as problems, taints and inaptness. Gayatri devotion augments purity and focus of our psyche. Further positive changes take place in our eating habits, daily routine, viewpoint and character. Thus this very transformation of ones psyche is the royal path which wards off hardships and strife in our lives. Many a times it so happens that our aspirations, desires, yearnings etc are not in tandem with our individual capabilities and circumstances faced which are the results of our past actions. Hence a wise person who has purified his intellect and psyche renounces unwholesome and illusory desires and thus escapes the painful net of delusion. Of course there are certain situations that one has to face as per ones destiny which cannot be overcome. An ordinary layman will face them crying and wailing aloud but a mature Gayatri aspirant will face them with a calm smile because his/her psyche oozes with infinite divine power to face anguish.

Gayatri worship is also executed to overcome some special hardship faced in life and also to fulfill special requirements. Majority of the times Gayatri worship has succeeded with reference to this. Time and again it has been seen that the one who stares at hopelessness, failure, apprehension and fear performs Gayatri worship with immense devotion experiences Vedmata Gayatri’s blessings. Hence the previous situation of despair and anguish is converted into joy and success. It is because I (revered author of this e-book) have had the good fortune of experiencing many such incidences my faith is indomitable that no Gayatri worship performed with faith and devotion fails in the long run.

Gayatri spiritual practices are those spiritual exercises which definitely augment ones soul force substantially. It is commonly seen that many people learn wrestling and body building exercises so as to combat other powerful wrestlers or win prizes in body building contests. Suppose a budding wrestler loses a wrestling bout it should certainly not be misconstrued that his efforts of learning wrestling have gone in vain. In fact the more he perseveres to toughen up his body the more benefits he will accrue as days go by. Similarly there are many achievements in life like good health, beauty, long life, capacity to work very hard, marital bliss, children of good character, bigger income, no fear while facing foes etc that are no less important when compared to winning a wrestling or boxing bout. Thus assuming that a person performs spiritual practices with a definite aim in mind but this aim is not achieved never rue that ones efforts have gone totally in vain. This is because the divine energy that manifests due to spiritual austerities will get stored in the psyche and will be of great use in future while facing other destinies of life.

The soul itself is the head quarters of all cosmic divine powers (Ridhi-Sidhi). All the powers owned by God have been inherited by God’s ‘princes’ viz. human beings. Although all divine powers exist in the human soul yet they are latent. It can be compared to fire covered by a lot of ash which makes it capacity to blaze very weak. Similarly taints in the human psyche like lust, greed, jealousy, hatred etc is the ash that covers the divine powers present in each individual soul. Gayatri meditation helps destroy this veil of taints and just as when the above mentioned ash is removed the fire which was previously weak starts blazoning forth in full flow. Similarly on destroying the veil of taints in our psyche via Gayatri devotion the otherwise latent powers now manifest in full strength. Those divine glories achieved by great Yogis via intense austerities are attained with relative ease and speed via Gayatri devotion.

In ancient times great Maharshis attained many divine powers like Animaa, Mahimaa and other Ridhi-Sidhis via intense austerities and Yoga based practices. Indian Mythology describes scores of such miraculous powers attained by Yogis etc of yore. And yet it prudent to note, that these Yogic and other forms of austerities had their roots in Gayatri devotion. Even today there exist great saints and sages who manifest miraculous divine powers. All of them agree that apart from Gayatri devotion no other spiritual endeavor can help you achieve your spiritual goal with greater ease and speed. In the past apart from great Sidhas even Chakravartis of the solar and lunar dynasty have followed the path of Gayatri. Brahmins of yore became Gurus of the world due to power attained via daily Gayatri worship and same is the case with Kings of past who ruled the world (called Chakravartees).

http://www.shriramsharma.com/the_tangible_miracles_of_gayatri_meditation.htm

Muni Vasishthaji owned a wish fulfilling cow (Kaamadhenu). With its help he could overcome Rishi Vishwamitra’s gigantic army. He was instrumental in ensuring that King Dileep and Dashratha’s (Lord Rama’s father) lineage did not get destroyed. Not only this but that their lineage produced great Kings. All this was due to the grace of the wish fulfilling cow and the cow is none other than Gayatri. King Dileep along with his consort daily served this cow devotionally and drank its milk (grace) reverentially. In this manner Rishis of yore performed many spiritual and Yogic penances which had their roots in Gayatri devotion. Rishi Dadhichee became an infinite aura of Gayatri energy after performing intense penance. Indra defeated the Asuras (demons) with the help of a thunderbolt or Vajra made from Dadhichee’s bones. Gayatri is called a Brahmaastra or divine weapon. Its attack never goes in vain. Gayatri is the wish fulfilling cow of this material world. He/she, who devotionally drinks its milk (blessings) regularly, never encounters suffering, despair, discontent or lack of satiation.

Brahmaji created the 4 Vedas with the help of the 24 letters of Gayatri Mantra. In order to throw more light on the deep import of these Vedas Shaastra, Darshan, Brahmana, Aaranyaka, Upanishad, Smritee, Sootra, Purana, Itihaas etc were written. In this manner Gayatri is the Mother of the Vedas which deal with material and spiritual science. If one truly imbibes the meaning of Gayatri one will become an adept in all Vedic scriptures.

The 24 priceless letters of Gayatri can be used as a test to decide which activities in our daily life will prove beneficial both materially and spiritually on a long term basis. Every letter is like a jewel of immortal message. The divine sound “OM” teaches us that since God pervades every pore of the cosmos do not act in an unwholesome manner and more importantly do not harbor vile thoughts albeit even secretly. “Bhoohu” teaches us to avidly search for those causes that destroy us and replace them with those that uplift us in an all round manner. “Bhuvaha” tells us to carry out our appointed duties very meticulously and after having done that accept the results as God’s grace. One must scrupulously avoid unwholesome actions even if they give material gains for the short term because ultimately the irrevocable Law of Karma (actions) will tighten the noose of hardships round your neck. “Svaha” means develop a balanced psyche that faces dualities like joy-sorrow, pain-pleasure, profit-loss, good-bad etc very calmly and without going overboard due to grief or joy as the case may be. “Tat” means do not look upon the pleasures attained via the body and senses as the be all and end all of life. Sense pleasures are short term gains which have to end at a certain point in time whereas spiritual gains are long term i.e. eternal. “Savituhu” means imbibe wisdom, sacred intellect, good health, legal wealth, wholesome name and fame, world friendship, positive valor etc. “Varenyam” tells us to imbibe truly only that which great in this world of dualities. “Bhargo” tells us to keep pure our body, mind, wealth, home, clothes and behavior at all levels of life. “Devasya” means developing a generous and farsighted psyche. “Dheemahee” means imbibing good qualities, great character, divine glories and high thinking. “Dheeyo” means not blindly following some individual, literature or sect. Give up this herd mentality and imbibe that which is apt and beneficial both materially and spiritually in the long run. “Yonaha” tells us to imbibe self control, penance, wisdom, endurance, tolerance, hard work, economical living and divine powers so as to use them for world well being. “Prachodayaat” tells us to inspire fellow beings, help the weak and downtrodden to higher statures in life, egg others to imbibe ethics/values, imbibe zest and zeal, remain contented and serve all equally in the world.

In all Vedic scriptures many precepts have been enumerated and their gist has been detailed in the above paragraph. If we truly imbibe all the above qualities know for sure that we will become scholarly masters of the Vedas. The 24 letters of the Gayatri Mantra encompasses within itself the scheme, ethics, thought perception and mode of action for leading a divine life. A Guru (preceptor) helps his disciple to walk in this direction on the basis of apt guidance. Thus our life of ideal takes birth with the help of our Mother Gayatri and Father in the form of a realized saintly Guru. Such a disciple is called a Dvija i.e. twice born.

The 24letters of the Gayatri Mantra have been woven so wonderfully that mere chanting of it activates subtle energies in the subtle nerves (Naadis) of the tongue, throat, brain centre and palate. Just as when one hits the keys of the keyboard of a computer corresponding alphabets get typed on the screen so too the moment the tongue chants the Gayatri Mantra various Chakras (Plexus) of the body get activated and they manifest subtle energies. Apart from the Chakras various Bhramars (energy eddies), Kamals (lotus), Granthis (energy knots), Sansthans (centres) etc get awakened. The Naadis (subtle nerves) of the mouth transport the impulses of Gayatri Mantra chanting to the various Chakras (plexus) of the body. Just as when the strings of a guitar or sitar (Indian musical instrument) are twanged a beautiful lilting tune emerges similarly when the Gayatri Mantra is chanted with devotion the latent energies of the bodily Chakras are activated and thus the devotee manifests a divine aura. In this manner Gayatri Mantra chanting subtly commences Yogic practices and when the subtle energy centres of the body are awakened they benefit the devotee both materially and spiritually in an extraordinary manner.

Gayatri devotion has 2 legs: 1) By imbibing the subtle teachings present in the Gayatri Mantra one becomes a true human being and 2) Performing austerities so as to activate subtle divine powers in the soul. Both these aspects are essential to imbibe by a Gayatri devotee. The grace of Goddess Gayatri manifests in the heart of that devotee, whose psyche adheres to righteous living, ethics, high ideals, principles and pious activities in his/her day to day living. Gayatri austerities induce a subtle kind of churning in the devotee’s psyche which manifests divine energy that was present albeit latently. It is this divine energy that helps a devotee face trials in life very calmly and this in turn augments his/her will power by leaps and bounds.

Gayatri is called Tripadaa or3 legged. She has 3 eyes and carries a Trishul (weapon). They represent the 3 principles 1.Bhooha 2.Bhuvaha 3.Svaha. “Bhooha” means wisdom, intellect, discrimination, love and pious actions. “Bhuvaha” means wealth, grandeur, status, high stature, enjoyments and material glory. “Svaha” means health based power, daring, valor, enterprise and hard work. The aim of Gayatri devotion is to imbibe all the above 3 types of powers. The more one progresses in devotion many qualities, actions and characteristics manifest and these are the ones who breed wisdom, grandeur and energy in the devotee’s life. Wherever these qualities manifest material means and comforts too will come unasked along with them.

I have read innumerable religious texts and thus I conclude that none can match Gayatri’s supremacy (although the author without doubt respects all religions and saints of the world). Ancient Rishis and Maharshis had performed Gayatri Super Mantra based penance and thus attained greatness. In my common routine life I have seen so many miracles associated with the Gayatri Mantra that I have unswerving faith in its divine prowess. Up till now I have performed 24 Mahapurascharanas of Gayatri (1 Mahapurascharana means chanting the Gayatri Mantra 2.4 million times in a certain time frame). There were so many profound miracles witnessed by me (personally) that it is best I do not list them here. Under my guidance many have executed Gayatri penance albeit on a low scale and yet they too have witnessed many amazing miracles. Thus it goes to show that even a minor effort of Gayatri devotion never goes in vain.

I know many people who previously lived a life of lack and poverty. To the extent that even their most basic needs of survival were hard to obtain. They were under tremendous financial pressure like debt etc. Their business was amassing nothing but losses. They then took recourse to Gayatri devotion and lo behold! They not only cut their losses but earned so much wealth which could emit envy in other people’s eyes. I have known people who were less educated and on lower job posts get good increments and promotions as a result of Gayatri devotion. Those people whose IQ was very weak attained a sharper brain so as to become good scholars in their respective fields of study. Many students who previously failed in their exams despite hard work passed them with flying colors due to Gayatri worship. People who wanted to overcome mental taints like indolence, agitation, quarreling nature, anger, addiction (drugs, alcohol etc) and other unwholesome habits took recourse to Gayatri meditation so as to experience amazing transformation.

Gayatri devotion related benefits accrue in all spheres of life and these maybe both material and spiritual. Married couples who fought like cats and dogs, mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws who could not stand the very sight of one another etc executed Gayatri devotion. The result was they now lived amicably with a sense of love and respect for one another. Brothers who previously warred against each other for property, wealth etc later lived with true camaraderie like Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana (epic Ramayana) because they surrendered to Goddess Gayatri. Gayatri worship has quelled all forms of household strife. An innocent person who was a victim of false court cases, fraud allegations, murder, crime etc would later face them fearlessly with the grace of Gayatri. Those people who feared enemy attacks for no fault of theirs took recourse to Gayatri meditation and thus they remained unharmed and fearless.

Gayatri has helped so many devotees to overcome trying circumstances in life. There have been cases where patients who were about to be engulfed by the God of Death (Yamaraaj) escaped his net due to Gayatri’s compassionate grace. Many have overcome attacks by ghosts, bad dreams, unconsciousness, coma, weakness of the heart, miscarriage problems during pregnancy etc solely due to Gayatri’s blessings. Leprosy patients have been cured totally. Gayatri devotion helped purify the psyches of many devotees who got bad dreams, faced strife in life etc because of a tainted mind. When the mind was purified all their problems vanished into the thin air. Devotees who suffered from diseases, that were both painful and deadly, managed to overcome them by surrendering to the Mother of the Vedas i.e. Gayatri. Diseases like paranoia, plague, pneumonia and many others have been cured by Gayatri Mantra chanting with faith and devotion.

I have seen devotees of Gayatri overcoming psychosomatic diseases that result due to tension and worries. Those who were agitated mentally because of the death of a dear one, loss of wealth, huge debts, apprehension of failure, huge expenses for ones daughter’s marriage, separation from ones beloved, loss of jobs, poverty, insults, deadly diseases (cancer etc), attack of enemies, apprehension of a bad future etc attained great peace of mind once they commenced Gayatri meditation dedicatedly. In many cases devotees have been helped in many strange ways or that their will power has become so potent that no sorrow or pain could create turmoil in their psyche. Others have been aided by divine inspiration and guidance after their hearts were purified via Gayatri devotion. But what has been common to all of them that they faced hardships of all kinds with grit, determination, valor and a serene smile on their face.

And yet it is best that we become selfless and desire less while meditating on Mother Gayatri with unswerving faith and devotion. Devotees should strive hard to give up this attitude of worshipping Gayatri only if she blesses us by fulfilling our desires. This is because the frail human intellect under the influence of Avidya and Maya (spiritual blindness) is incapable of deciding what is apt or otherwise for himself/herself. Thus it would be wise and prudent on the part of a Gayatri devotee to leave all decisions to Almighty God who is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. God is the only one who knows when and what are the requirements of every creature of the cosmos. Suppose despite intense Gayatri worship some mishap in life is not overcome know for sure that God has some very wise reason to make you undergo that pain. Further the Gayatri worship done certainly does not go in vain and at the appointed hour (when the psyche is mature enough) God will pour his blessings on you. Such blessings attained without pre conditions made by a devotee ultimately leads him/her to God Realization and that means eternal and infinite bliss. Give up pre conditions while performing spiritual practices and you will get infinitely more benefits than what you could have bargained for. The supreme benefit is Self/God Realization and if it had to be attained by shouldering all the sorrows of the world know for sure that the price you are paying is not even an iota of the infinite bliss of God vision.
