THE DOORSTEP OF RIDHI-SIDHIS OR DIVINE POWERS IS NAVEL WHEEL OR SOLAR CHAKRA

30 Jul

Yoga scriptures have named the  navel (stomach region) as Surya Chakra (solar wheel). Here only that much  importance has been given as is given to the atom’s nucleus by scientists or  that given to the sun in the solar system. It is quite possible that because  anatomists have not understood it aptly it has not been given due importance.  And yet for spiritual scientists it holds great attraction eternally. According  to great seers of spiritual science first and foremost, human vital force after  vibrating from the navel center dashes against the heart region. In the heart  and lungs after purifying our blood it helps in smooth blood circulation in the  body.

This is a natural activity of the  vital force. But when it is conjoined to a strong mental resolve or Sankalpa and  also consciousness it becomes more potent. It is like an ordinary stream of wind  does not have much power but when packed in a balloon and thrown up into the sky  goes upwards and becomes that much more potent. In the same way when after the  mind imbibes pure consciousness conjoined to a potent resolve is united with the  vital force it gets transformed into spiritual power.

From the modern scientific  standpoint too the navel is the source of vital force. During pregnancy the  fetus is nourished by the mother’s body. The fetus that commences its life’s  journey in the form of a bubble initially continues to grow. That storehouse  which is needed for growth and nourishment is imbibed by the child from its  mother’s body via the navel. Digested food through mother’s blood is accepted by  the fetus and thus its growth continues unhampered. At the time of delivery or  parturition the umbilical cord that is cut so as to separate the mother and  child is that very door via which the child received nourishment from the  mother’s body. During the time span of 9 months the fetus obtained all its  growth requirements via the navel.

At birth itself the child while  crying moves its hands and feet and thus blood circulation commences. The blood  reaches the lungs from the heart and they too commence their respective  functions. The first step of independence is achieved by the newborn babe when  it inhales air from the atmosphere which then is imbibed by the bodily blood.  Now it no longer requires lungs in the form of placenta present previously in  the mother’s womb. The bond between the mother and child is snapped by cutting  the umbilical cord. The newborn babe starts living its life independently. Since  the physical connection with the mother is snapped there is no use of that  center. As per the gross viewpoint of medical fraternity the use of the center  is transformed into that of a common pit. Through inactive ligaments the navel  is attached to the liver. From the standpoint of bodily progress the role of the  navel comes to a grinding halt. And yet when ever there is a pressure on the  liver the flow of blood augments and these inactive ligaments become active and  are seen in the form of Caput Medusis and blown up veins.

The above observations depict one  thing that the navel is an active center. During the time span of its utility  with its power aids the progress of the fetus. Later it does not become inactive  as is believed to be so. Just as the center of the subtle body is the Ajna  Chakra (spiritual center/subtle plexus between the eye brows) in the same way  the nucleus of the gross body is the navel wheel or Surya Chakra. The symbol of  a healthy body is the good health of this center. Due to its potential other  nearby parts too get vitalized potently. In the crystal of the navel center is  present the 2-fold capacity of give and take. Sound waves in the atmosphere are  caught by the crystal of the transistor which in turn converts it to various  tunes and tones.

The navel center is the nucleus of  soul based consciousness. According to Yogic Sciences its function is to attract  various powers from vast interstellar space and after imbibing them they are  sent to all parts of the body. Anatomists may not find it very useful but as far  as Yogic Sciences is concerned its utility is there for ones long life span. If  only its magnetic force is activated through spiritual endeavors/Sadhana like  meditation etc with the help of its intense magnetic potential it possesses so  much power to bestow boons which in comparison to gross objects are infinitely  more.

According to medical specialists  surrounding the navel are 9 important inner secreting ganglions. These are those  very centers of self propelling ligaments which help in the control and  management physical movements, blood circulation, enzymes and other secretions  which help in digestion. Lumbar, sacral, cocsegial ganglion and plexus in the  form of surrounding fibers control important bodily parts like stomach, spleen,  kidneys, liver etc. The gonads which reproduce a new body with their amazing  capacity function under the control of these centers. This body of flesh and  bones which is a result of all these is no doubt under the control of the Food  Sheath but is certainly not a separate sheath by itself. Although invisible  there are so many unknown mysteries in the Food Sheath which can be unfolded  only via the activation of the Solar Wheel or Surya Chakra.

In the vital body of human beings  there are 3 main nerves through which vital force or Prana flows. Their names  are Ida, Pingala and Sushumna. Ida represents the Para Sympathetic System or the  tranquilizing region. This is the silent, tranquil aspect of human  minds/psyches. Pingala represents the Sympathetic Nervous System which is the  instigating area. This is the active, extroverted and physical aspect. It is due  to the mutual balance of these 2 that all activities are carried out in a well  managed way. That energy required for digestion is produced from the flow of  these 2 subtle Yogic nerves.

The solar plexus (Surya Chakra)  situated subtly behind the navel is the central point from where all the major  streams go to various parts of the body. In a certain manner this can be  compared to a junction from where many railway lines go in various directions.  The good health of the entire body is dependent on the strength of this center.  The solar plexus is not only the junction of vital force stream but is also the  communication center of the unconscious mind and conscious energy. And yet  ordinarily this important center exists in a latent state. Hence not only do  laymen not have any knowledge of its potency but they also fail to avail their  benefits.

Every Chakra or subtle plexus is  related to and influenced by a special principle. In order to activate it one  has to concentrate on a special color. For example solar element is predominant  in fire. In order to activate it one concentrates ones mind on a yellow colored  lotus. In reality the color red, yellow, green, dark purple and white are  related to the 7 rays of sunlight. By mere mental concentration in the subtle  plexus a special movement occurs in related principles which influence our  intellectual nerves and brain. This in turn conjoins our bodily vital force to  the cosmic all pervasive vital force and consciousness. Just as when the power  of a battery gets exhausted it is recharged using a generator and thus gets  energized. Or just as when material required is not there in a small shop, we go  to a larger store where storage capacity and availability is ample. In the same  way the individual vital force center or Manipur Chakra (solar plexus) attracts  energy to itself from this cosmic storehouse of unlimited vital force and makes  use of it as and when necessary. Whoever masters this center, experiences that  his/her sense organs have been controlled perfectly. It thus gives an  introduction to its apt controlled management through various disciplines. These  people when compared to laymen are known to successfully accomplish great tasks  that are thousand times more gigantic than what laymen achieve.

In order to activate it in the  morning at dawn and in the evening at dusk one must meditate deeply. In a sacred  and secluded spot or in ones daily worship room one should sit in the lotus  posture with the spine erect and then one must take deep breaths 10-20 times for  3-4 minutes. After this execute Naadi Shodhan Pranayama. As a result of this  vital force starts circulating in the Sushumna (one of the 3 principle subtle  nerves of Hatha Yoga). After tha by keeping the spine absolutely erect Ajapa  Gayatri (Soham) should be chanted mentally for 5 minutes while breathing in and  out. Later one should be mentally immersed in the meditation of a yellow colored  lotus situated on the solar plexus (on the spine) which is behind the navel.

In any concentration the inner  sentiment should be that the solar plexus is being activated. The light rays  emanating from the yellow lotus are illumining the entire navel center. While  losing oneself in the depth of this absorption one should take ones breath  slowly, through the stomach, heart and lungs. Along with this spiritual exercise  the sentiment should be profound that ‘I am attracting the atoms of good health,  comfort, peace, vital force, vigor, success and glories from the infinite  storehouse of cosmic nature within my inner being and it is being circulated and  stored in the solar plexus for 5-10 minutes. One must deepen this sacred  sentiment that ‘My vital force after rising upwards is spreading in all my  bodily parts and its divine light too travels there’.

Along with this auto suggestion  exhale very slowly and experience the vibration of the vital force in the solar  plexus moving upward in the spine. After resting for 1-2 minutes, this same  exercise should be repeated 5-10 times. Inhalation and exhalation should be so  slow that its sound is not perceived. After repeating the above exercise with  joy and zest it is necessary to repeat soul commands with faith and devotion.  After regular spiritual exercises for 1-2 months one can actually feel the  transformation that has taken place in the body, mind and intellect. In this  transformation there is a clear cut experience that the mind and intellect  advance based on inner sentiments. After a long period of this sort of a  spiritual exercise when the vital force conjoins to cosmic consciousness full of  strong resolve or Sankalpa an incessant flow of electro magnetic waves flows in  the mind and brain of the spiritual aspirant. This makes the nearby and related  areas of an aspirant very potent and effective.

This type of influence of an  atmosphere full of magnetic forces and its experience can be felt in the  presence of great saints and aspirants of high spiritual stature. Through the  above spiritual exercise one establishes a bond between the solar plexus and  Anahat Chakra (near the heart) which helps us attain desired help. This in turn  helps an aspirant progress speedily who hence eulogizes it greatly.

Indifference to these spiritual  exercises means destruction of the immortal principle of the sun situated in the  navel. Like a fire cracker that is lit a small amount of amusement can be  bought. And yet by performing spiritual exercises and by gathering its power  like a honeybee collects honey one can prolifically augment ones own welfare and  increase the joy of others too. According to Spiritual science the solar plexus  is a valiant, heroic and radiant center of vital power. By meditating on this  center this vital force can be stored and directed aptly. As a result its good  omens come to us in the form of an increase in Divine Light.

AN EPISODE:

Oh Fallen One! How did you manage  to enter? On hearing children of his own age fling taunting insults at him his  child like mind started weeping. As an answer to his weeping he got only  indifference and disrespect from his school teachers. His heart bled with agony  and tears flowed down his cheeks. He had harbored a great desire to attain Rishi-hood  but……… On entering his hut he shouted aloud: O Mother! After hugging his aged  mother he started crying again. His mother asked why he was crying thus. Between  hiccups the child said that everyone thinks Itara is a maid servant and is  demeaned. And that he, Itara’s son can never master any Mantra.

Itara said: Oh you are crying  merely for this sake. Do you see the Sun God in the sky? He verily is the  primeval preceptor cum Lord. You must pray to him and know for sure you shall  attain everything. Meditate steadfastly on him. These consoling words of his  mother induced a firm determination in the son’s mind and thus started  meditating deeply. It later got converted into a trance. The Mantra lit up in  the deep recess of his bosom. Tunes of spiritual knowledge started singing aloud  in his pure soul. These took form of te erstwhile Upanishads of Vedas. Via solar  worship the son of low caste Itara became Brahmarshi Aitereya. The Upanishads  that spoke of his Mantras on Self Knowledge were named Aitereya Upanishad.  Anyone worshipping Sun God profoundly can become a Brahmarshi.

WHAT IS THE TRUE MEANING OF ‘SUPER POWER YAJNAS’?

28 Jul

Yajna originates from the root word ‘Yaja’ in Sanskrit  language. It means worship of divinity, congregation and charity. Yajna’s  spiritual activity involves worship of divine powers of Almighty God,  associating with God, devotion/meditation and whatever we call as ‘mine’  erroneously should be humbly placed at the feet of God so as to self surrender.  Yajna also means humbly serving hallowed saints and associating with them with  the aim of helping in their sacred mission. From the social standpoint we can  say respecting our elders, friendship with those of our cadre and selflessly  serving those of the lower strata of society too is true Yajna. Thus Yajna also  connotes devotion to God, augmenting of the truth principle and mutual love and  cooperation. Of course in terms of Havan or fire sacrifice Yajna is very well  known. Even via fire ritual the above mentioned 3 goals can be attained.

Following are some memorable quotes on Yajnas:

“Yajna is the union of 3 sacred tasks viz. offering Havi  to demigods, Vedic Mantra chanting and giving gifts/wealth to Ritwijas”.

……………………….Matsya  Purana

“Yajna is when preceptors teach Vedas to pious disciples  along with Anga and Upanga”.

“Yajna is that activity which pleases demigod Indra who  in turn showers rain”.

“Yajna is that program which helps us easily attain  heaven and other hallowed worlds”.

“Yajna is that program which leads to world welfare and  well being”.

“Yajna is that program which uproots strife pertaining  to natural calamities, physical body and the psyche”.

“Yajna is giving charity with the aim of eulogizing  divinity via Vedic Mantra chanting”.

WORSHIPPING DIVINITY (a  few quotes):

“Yajna means revering and worshipping divinity”.

“Yajna is that activity which honors demigods”.

“Yajna is that activity which worships demigods”.

“Yajna is that activity which worship and satiates  demigods”.

CONGREAGATIONAL  ACTIVITIES (a few quotes):

“Yajna is a  program that congregates great people for spiritual, national and religious  protection purposes”.

“Yajna is inviting a gathering of great, wise and Vedic  scholarly people for world welfare”.

“Yajna is a gathering of relatives, friends etc in a  cordial and reverent manner”.

CHARITY (a few quotes):

“Yajna is donation of wealth for a great purpose keeping  in mind whether the place and hour of doing so is appropriate or not”.

“Yajna is that activity wherein wealth is donated with  devotion/faith to appease demigods”.

“Yajna is the holy act of humble surrendering everything  to Almighty God”.

“Yajna is satiating those who beg for alms. In this  manner Yajna has 3 meanings: 1) worshipping Divine Powers 2) sacred  congregational programs and 3) charity/donation.

In the very initial stages God first manifests himself  as Divine Powers. These Divine Powers create, propagate and nurture this world.  Via their worship they are appeased and via devotion these Divine powers  manifest in the devotee’s psyche. Thus these powers proliferate and help greatly  in the sacred task of world welfare.

Man’s power and reach is extremely miniscule. At a gross  level he/she cannot contact Divine Powers. If someone wishes to sit near the  blazing sun, for sure that person will be burnt to ashes immediately on doing  so. Agni, Indra, Varuna etc are all powers/energies. Since these energies cannot  be contacted grossly spiritual seers unearthed a science for their  manifestation. While chanting Vedic Mantras Ahutis are offered to the mouth of a  sacrificial fire. This word power renders our sentiments and materials offered  subtle which then reach the upper subtle worlds. Agni or fire is called Hutavaa  (Yajna offerings are used as ‘vehicles’) and demigods are called Purohitas  (priests). Mantra chanting awakens certain energies and fire transports our  offerings (Aahutis) to demigods. This science was unfolded by great Indian  Rishis with their subtle divine vision. Thus mankind’s hardships were warded off  and by contacting any Divine Power the door of prosperity was thrown wide open  for world humanity.

Aahutis please demigods and in this manner they are  honored too. They are eulogized. This is true worship. In return they give their  powers to the devotee. Fire possesses qualities like heat, light and activity.  The meaning of meditating on fire is advancement of these qualities and divine  energies. Wind is feather weight, the power to reach heaven and augmenting of  the vital force (Prana). Meditation on Maruta (wind god) results in control of  the vital force, hearing of far off sounds, seeing of far off places etc. All  demigods thus have various kinds of Divine Powers. When these qualities manifest  in our psyche they do so by a divine magnetic attraction towards us. These  Divine powers are called ‘miracles’ and Sidhis. In reality man’s contribution  regarding this is negligible and it is these powers that create miraculous  feats. It helps man contact demigods and this is the second leg of Yajna.

Based on the person’s character, those times and  situations when he/she is given donation and their needs are fulfilled, that too  is a Yajna. It is a very difficult question to answer as to who deserves to e  given help, charity and donations. Despite this revered Rishis have given us a  solution wherein one must give our most valued materials to demigods because the  latter never hoard anything. Instead whatever they are given is made subtly  n-fold more potent and thus millions of people the world over without any  restriction benefit from them. Thus whatever man cherishes most must be first  offered to demigods and Almighty God himself. So it is clear that anything  offered to demigods with devotion is returned to mankind that is manifold times  more in measure. This is true Yajna. Under today’s circumstances when the above  3 points are analyzed deeply the conclusions are as follows:

1)     This world abounds with both divine and demonic  powers. Hence mankind the world over must pursue those powers and worship them  which inspire divinity, good will, justice and righteousness in our soul. We  must have deep faith in such Divine powers and every step of ours should go in  that direction only. We must gird up our loins in an alert manner to eradicate,  fight and obstruct demonic powers and anti social elements. If out of  helplessness one must live physically amidst vile elements yet mentally never  ever accept or succumb to their wily nature. At least within in the psyche one  must abhor such demonic forces and constantly pray to Almighty God to wrench  your self free from its dangerous clutches along with necessary effort too. If  we our selves imbibe demonic qualities and then execute worship rites know for  sure it is very detrimental because it would become worship of demons (while  worshipping and praying it is very essential that the mind leans towards sacred  and wholesome qualities). Those having faith in Yajnas must totally stay away  from demonic qualities and vile leanings both mentally and at the level of  activities in ones day to day lives.

2)     This world is full of hatred, communal tension,  terrorism etc. Hence it is our prime duty not only to abstain from encouraging  it but that strong efforts must be made to manifest world unity, selfless love,  friendship, cooperation and congregations that induce world brotherhood (AIM: A  BEAUTIFUL BORDERLESS WORLD). All earth denizens must generously help one another  with a sense of oneness of soul. Today there is hatred and strife amongst  various communities, religions, nations, regions etc. Instead of adding more  strife it is imperative that all of us the world over help overcoming tension  and resolve all difference of opinions amicably and aptly. Hindu religion  ordains its followers both tolerance and sense of unity with others. It has so  many cultures, thought flows, beliefs etc and ironically some of them are  totally opposite to one another. And yet all of them exist peacefully and  tolerantly. Despite some many ‘isms’, precepts, principles etc man can yet  aspire to live in an atmosphere of good will, cooperation and tolerance. Instead  of fighting for trivial matters we must think tolerantly and spread the message  of divine love and peace in every corner of the globe. This world  unity/brotherhood is an extremely important aspect of a true Yajna.

3)     Whatever almighty god has given us is certainly  not meant for our use only in a selfish manner. God gives us rivers, oceans,  trees, flowers, natural resources, animals etc for the use of all creatures and  hence is it appropriate that we being his children use things given to us  selfishly? Selfish use is bang opposite to Yajna sacred sentiments. We must use  our intellectual wealth, wisdom, finances, comforts etc with those who are less  fortunate and help those of the higher strata of society in their gigantic  endeavors of world welfare activities. Our needs must be kept minimal and labor  hard to augment worldly, mental, bodily and soul forces. But the aim of this  augmenting should be: “Earn with 100 hands and donate with a thousand hands”. We  are all used to amassing so much wealth that after our demise our inheritors  become unruly and indolent. Instead use as much of your earnings for world  welfare/unity while you are alive and spread the message of great thinking,  great character, good will and ever lasting peace.

A very important point to note is that donations and  charity are being openly misused. Undeserving people in a wily manner live on  ‘freebies’ when they have not the slightest need of them. We must stop this and  yet where the cause is genuine and people are truly deserving we must give up  stinginess and donate our time, energy and finances as much as possible towards  such sacred endeavors.

When we say donation and charity we mean utilizing our  potential, brilliance, skills, wealth etc for world welfare and readying our  minds for the same. It is this generosity based viewpoint that inspires mankind  to renounce and sacrifice transient pleasures for attaining eternal divine  spiritual bliss. This world’s existence itself is based on charity. From the  individual (micro) to the cosmos (macro) this precept is at work. It is the  reason why this world is balanced and well managed. If the concept of charity  goes haywire even a fetus in its mother’s womb will die and thus the wheel of  procreation will come to a grinding halt. The existence of human and other  beings is absolutely dependent on this. It is cooperation and renunciation that  help individuals and the world progress both materially and spiritually. The  proof of any one remaining alive is the fact that his/her mother has sacrificed  a lot so as to nurture/nourish them. For 9 months in her pregnancy period the  mother nourishes her fetus in the womb through her blood and umbilical cord. It  is because of this supreme sacrifice a radiant wonderful child is born who later  attains manhood and womanhood. The Yajna viewpoint is clearly seen in a father  earning daily bread for his family and society too helping in the nurturing of  every child in society. Not only in human beings but other creatures like  plants, birds, animals too coexist in a sense of mutual cooperation which again  is the Yajna concept. They mutually benefit one another. Great Rishis knew very  well the secret of the importance of charity which advances all creatures and  the world wholesomely. They inspired every subtle and powerful individual to  utilize their radiant potentials and skills for the welfare of society. If the  weak and downtrodden class of society are not given help from their well of  brethren world mismanagement will set in without doubt. Such undesirable  attitudes will crush human grandeur and glory to dust.

YAJNA INSPIRATION:

Yajna inspires mankind to renounce with zest their all  for charity/sacrifice and thus herald world well being. The second leg is no  less important. The word Sangatikarana means a sense of oneness. There is same  sightedness and equality. There should be oneness of nature and soul. Yajna  encourages world humanity to congregate with a sense of oneness of soul. One  must have oneness with the cosmos since it is Almighty God’s manifestation and  thus look upon every inanimate/animate being too as divinity incarnate. Ones  individual consciousness (ego or ‘I’) should merge into cosmic consciousness  (God). A wooden stick on entering a blazing fire takes up the form of fire.  Ordinary ponds and small rivulets on entering the River Ganges become Ganges in  nature. Almighty Lord oozes with divinity and supreme greatness. When one merges  into God one becomes God manifest. This sort of merging induces total  transformation of man’s inner personality. In fact many a times even the  external appearance/form changes. The merging of world humanity with world  consciousness takes the form of generosity and supreme greatness. When we  conjoin to cosmic consciousness the sentiments of “Aatmavat sarva bhootayshoo”  (all beings are manifestations of my soul) and “Vasudhaiva kutumbakam” (the  entire world is my family) manifest in full strength.

Ordinarily man identifies/associates himself with  material objects. As a result the inert nature of objects seeps into his/her  psyche and makes it very materialistic. Attachment to fleeting objects is like  running after a mirage in a dessert. It is the cause of discontent and lack of  satiation. Thus man never experiences consciousness’ qualities like divinity,  nectarine bliss and timelessness. This is because our association especially at  the psychic level is with inert material objects (TV, computer, cell phone,  property, bank balance etc). Thus we lack eternal bliss and peace. Yajna  inspires mankind to associate his/her consciousness with God or cosmic  consciousness. God is the very root substratum-existence of all creatures  without exception. If thus all creatures merge their individual ego with this  divine existence, all divine qualities and grandeur of cosmic consciousness will  manifest in ones soul. Yajna inspires us to tread this sacrosanct path that  leads to eternal bliss and peace.

Associating/merging into divinity results in all  creatures/humanity experiencing the infinite fount of their true sacred  existence. This is that human basis whose inspiration makes man generous and  magnanimous to a fault. If all creatures are manifestations of ones very soul  where is the question of ‘you are mine’ and ‘you are not mine’? At such times  everyone’s sorrow will become ones own and we will be happy when others are  happy. Man will then realize deeply, that only in world well being, exists the  welfare of every individual. All forms of narrow minded, fanatic, fundamentalist  and selfish beliefs will be pounded to naught. In true spirituality the attitude  is yearning well being of each and every animate/inanimate being. Thus the  dreams of ‘world united peacefully as a family’ and ‘creation of a beautiful borderless  world’ can definitely be realized.

The 3rd meaning of Yajna is worship of  divinity. In its social aspect it means selfless service to the world. Worship  of divinity means worshipping divine endeavors. For this the path of humble  selfless service requires to be imbibed. It is via service that divinity  manifests in society and that heaven like situations the world over pervades.  Selfless service means utilizing our bodily and mental strength for overcoming  strife and downfall that pervade in every nook and corner of the globe. This is  the very ‘spine’ of humanity and its values. A compassionate heart not only  sheds silent tears on seeing others pain and anguish but that it actually makes  efforts to ward them off. It is only then can we say that we have truly  worshipped divinity. Divinity’s worship encompasses the anguish of a  compassionate heart when it encounters others pain and instantly works hard to  help those in sorrow and strife. Selfless service to the world ensures that  divine tasks are protected and are spread far and wide in the entire world. It  is thus that activities of uplifting the downtrodden of the world proliferate.

The Yajna Philosophy of charity, oneness of soul and  divinity worship makes mankind generous and large hearted in all aspects of  life. Unlimited potentials flow in these 3 principles for man’s  material/spiritual advancement. In order to sow the seeds of supreme greatness  in the psyche of world humanity and in order to intensify their faith all the  above 3 play an extraordinary role. There is no difference of opinion with  reference to the fact that these 3 precepts make mankind large hearted and  magnanimous. For a short time span with reference to difference of opinion as  far as theistic principles amongst various schools of philosophy can take place  and this is no doubt witnessed on a few occasions. But this never occurs with  reference to those eternal principles that reinstate human values, inculcate  greatness in individuals and society and those that make one sacred in  character. Yajna Philosophy beyond all disputes is the only philosophy which  enfolds within it all those principles which augment progress in the lives of  all individuals and the world at large. This Rishi tradition spanning over  centuries that oozes with inspiration and sage advice if imbibed deeply can help  world humanity reach pinnacles of progress, prosperity and peace.

In its pristine pure form the word Yajna is used for the  concept of congregational goals and endeavors. Today because it is used in a  lone manner people are not attracted to it much. In the Bhagwad Geeta this has  been discussed very deeply and has been correctly conjoined to spiritual  leanings. In Apte’s Sanskrit to English dictionary Yajna is translated as ‘to  sacrifice’. This can be utilized in the context of personality development too  along with imbibing of supreme sacred sentiments. Yajna of Eye Donation, Yajna  of Land Donation, Yajna of Knowledge Disbursement etc are used in the realm of  spiritual aspirations. Its mission is service to the world and making this as a  medium of soul purification. Ultimately this leads to Self/God Realization.

N.C. Bandhopadhyaya in his book “Development of Hindu  Polity and Political Theories” while accepting the above observation gives  necessary proof by quoting Rig-Veda’s Richas (Mandal 2 to Mandal 9). A great  western thinker A Barth in his book “Religions of India” opines that Yajna is  but the nectarine relationship between human society and Mother Nature.

“People light the symbol (fire) of Yajna and humanity  invites fire in this sacred religious program”.

………………………Rig-Veda  (6/2/3).

While giving Mantra based proof, Yajnas have been described by A.  Barth as an extraordinary experiment of society based cooperative endeavor. The  truth too is this: Yajna endeavor involves rendering materials of utility  gaseous so that when it spreads in all directions of the world countless  creatures including mankind benefit tremendously. This it is micro merging into  the macro.

Generally majority of Yajna methodologies are such  wherein the help and cooperation of many individuals is required.  Congregationalism and cooperation are the buzz word in it because for Yajnas to  succeed pure water from holy rivers, pyre, dais construction and other tasks  have to be executed which can be done only if many individuals volunteer to do  so. Mantras have to be chanted, so many Aahutis have to be offered,  circumambulations are executed and all this needs discipline and unison. Thus  this philosophy makes man truly great. Along with the concept of Viraat Brahman  or cosmic consciousness we are advised to par take Yajnaavashishta (sacred  remnant Yajna food items or Prasaad). Anyone who eats food without first serving  others is said to be a criminal. There are Vedic verses which say that demigods  attained divinity via Yajnas. These observations exhort us to work for world  well being like humble cogs in the wheel. Very briefly put Yajna Philosophy  augments ones character individually and at the universal level it inspires one  to contribute towards cosmic welfare. This is that supreme royal path which  enhances all round progress of individuals and the world along with world peace  and prosperity.

BRAHMAVARCHAS RESEARCH INSTITUTE: A HUMBLE SCIENTIFIC ENDEAVOR

25 Jul

Almighty God has given man His very own form. From the  standpoint of consciousness all those Divine Powers that the Creator (God)  possesses are found in the deep recesses of the human psyche albeit in latent  form. In this manner all the power and energy present in the macrocosm (cosmos)  is present in the microcosm (human psyche). The microcosm is the smallest unit  of the macrocosm. All functional aspects of the Solar System are found in its  smallest unit i.e. the atom. The divine glory of God exists in individual souls.  It is hence that man is called the “Prince” of God who is the “King” or ruler of  this cosmos. Vedanta Philosophy very articulately proclaims that the living  being (Jiva) and cosmic consciousness (God) are one i.e. non-dual or Advaita.

And yet the obvious question that needs to be answered  is: If a creature and God are one how come such gigantic differences are seen  between both? If indeed man is a “Prince” of that God who abounds with divine  wealth, why is he (human being) so poor and weak? Great seers while answering  this all important question opine that although it is true that man possesses  all the divine glories of God, this divine wealth lies latent in his  psyche/soul. It is like a seed that contains an entire tree or that a locked  vault contains untold precious jewels. Thus the locked vault of Divine Powers in  man’s psyche needs to be opened via the ‘key’ of intense spiritual efforts (Sadhana).  Spiritual practices are called Sadhana and they reap rich dividends on the basis  of apt psychic credentials (Paatrata) and ethics in ones day to day life. It is  only when man passes this most important test that he can become a master of the  divine wealth of the cosmos. The principle of “Sadhana say Sidhi” or “Attaining  the goal via spiritual endeavor” is well known. The philosophy of spiritual  endeavor is equivalent to scientific inventions and discoveries. Today man with  his intense efforts and sharp intellect has unearthed many material powers via  scientific research. Great scientific endeavors have today given us material  energy tapped from sources like steam, radio, atom etc.

The human body is like an infinite storehouse of  precious jewels i.e. divine wealth. If only via spiritual practices man awakens  this divine glory all those Divine Powers attained by Rishis, saints, seers of  yore and today can be attained by him too. Sadhana is nothing but awakening the  latent divine potentials that lie untapped in the deep cave of man’s psyche and  soul.

Human existence can be called an all encompassing  scientific laboratory. The human body enfolds all powers/energies of nature  albeit in seed form. Human consciousness harbors in seed form God’s unlimited  divine consciousness. In order to attain cosmic consciousness those efforts are  required akin to first sowing a seed in fertile soil, watering it and helping it  bloom forth like a skillful gardener who looks after his various plants and  trees. Although the atom possesses infinite potent nuclear energy, it can be  tapped only by adept scientists with their scientific tools. For a layman this  task is well nigh impossible. In order that an embryo grows into a human baby  (after the male’s sperm unites with the female’s ovum) it has to mature in its  mother’s womb for 9 months on an average. This is called “Sadhana say Sidhi”  i.e. “Making due efforts to attain the goal”. In order to become a scholar,  wrestler, boxer, artist, scientist, businessman etc intense efforts are  required. In the same way if one desires to awaken latent Divine Powers in ones  soul intense efforts are required (Sadhana) so as to witness miraculous results.  Soul advancement spiritual practices are termed as high stature endeavors.

Spiritual practices are a science by themselves. One  requires aid of spiritual philosophy so as to make sacred and pure ones inner  sentiments, beliefs, aspirations and thinking. This is also called Jnana Yoga or  Yoga of Wisdom. Hence one needs to pursue mental reflection, meditation,  concentration etc. An all round progress can be achieved by associating with  realized saints, seers and studying sacred scriptures with deep devotion. To put  this in a nutshell this itself is Spiritual Philosophy or the Yoga of Wisdom.  Within it predominantly the principle of mental reflection in a focused manner  is deployed.

The other important leg of spiritual endeavor is Kriya  Yoga wherein physical or bodily movements too are taken recourse to. It  encompasses Asan (posture), Pranayam, Bandha, Mudra, vows, fasts, pilgrimages,  Mantra chanting or Japa, Yajna or fire sacrifices etc. Thus true spiritual  endeavor revolves around both, Dhyana Yoga or Meditation and Kriya Yoga  (includes Hatha Yoga too).

There was a time centuries back that like Modern Science  of today, Spiritual Sciences ruled the roost. In it within the laboratory of the  human body Divine Powers were manifested in the individual’s body. These  benefits were termed Sidhis by seers of yore. As against this Ridhis are psychic  and sentimental glories attained via purification of ones consciousness and  psyche. In ancient times spiritual seekers who underwent spiritual practices  attained both Ridhis and Sidhis. If one compares the benefits attained by  today’s modern scientific research they significantly pale in front of the  achievements of spiritual seers of ancient times. The laboratory of Spiritual  Science is the human body and hence it does not require external apparatus like  fuel, technology, chemicals and other apparatus used in a modern science  laboratory. And yet despite being so priceless Spiritual Science it can easily  be availed of by entire world humanity. It is a divine gift of God and that  indeed is man’s good fortune.

Spiritual endeavor is said to be supreme amongst all  human endeavors. It is a means via which man can attain both material and  spiritual benefits. In the Sadhana Age or the Era of Spiritual Practices,  Spiritual Science was in full vogue and very well imbibed the world over. There  was both zeal and zest in that era. But alas! Today man is full of greed, envy  and avarice. An externalized mind seeks joy and glory in external objects. Today  because of a maddening fast life none has the time to self introspect and  discover the untold divine wealth lying hidden in the cave of his/her psyche.  Man just refuses to give up his lustful, indolent and sensual life and thus  master his mind so as to attain the greatness attained by seers and Rishis of  ancient times. On the one hand a major chunk of world humanity erroneously  discarded this profound science and hence simultaneously the number of great  seers and sages of spiritual sciences too diminished drastically. If demand  depletes the number of ‘buyers’ decrease and hence the number of ‘sellers’ too  decrease in tandem. At present in the name of “Yoga” deluded concepts have come  into vogue (blind leading the blind). No doubt one finds hordes of so called  “Yoga Gurus” who sell fantastic dreams to gullible aspirants. The latter just  have no clue whether their teacher is genuine or fake. As a result the number of  genuine Yoga Gurus and Preceptors who are the only ones who can help laymen  reach their spiritual destination is dangerously declining as days pass by. That  Great Spiritual Science has been replaced by nothing but vain deluded  proclamations akin to a peg of alcohol. Today in the name of spiritual practice  mere lip service is being doled out to a large number of gullible people. And  hence both the layman and intellectual class harbor aversion for it.

Today we realize that the need of the hour is to  research into the ancient Spiritual Sciences in a modern scientific manner and  thus understand its aptness, true state and form. This is the way we can  transform atheism into theism. Since Spiritual Sciences are infinitely more  potent and beneficial than Material Science, it should not lie in a hapless  ruined state as is seen today. In order to solve this problem once and for all  we have established the Brahmavarchas Research Institute. Within its realm the  human body is looked upon as a laboratory and intense efforts are being made to  manifest Divine Powers that so far existed latently in man’s psyche. For this it  was most required that in this modern scientific age necessary proof be made  available to the highly intellectual class of world humanity. Only then will  even the layman accept its true credentials and imbibe them wholeheartedly.

The Spiritual Science of the area of consciousness is  called Super Divine Wisdom Gayatri (Mahaprajna Gayatri). That science which  influences material nature (Prakriti) is called Agnihotra. Both are mutually  conjoined to one another as a pair. Both are mutually dependent on one another.  Agnihotra is most required for ripening and manifesting man’s conscious  potentials. It is like exposing bricks into a furnace for toughening them up or  like making our speech more audible by using a microphone. When fire and water  unite steam manifests which is used to run trains. Programs heard on radios  mainly use electrical energy. Similarly within the realm of spiritual practices  (Sadhana) Gayatri manifests via the combination of sentimental consciousness and  word power (Shabda Shakti). This Gayatri is hence made more prolific via the  divine energy of Agnihotra. Gayatri symbolizes Yoga of Sacred Sentiments and  Agnihotra symbolizes Kriya Yoga. Gayatri and Yajna are said to be the Mother and  Father of Indian culture. Within the field of spiritual endeavor they are  compared to Prana (Vital Force) and the physical body. The first step of  transformation and purification of the psyche and body is development of a pious  character and ethical dealings in ones day to day social and professional life.  It is only then that one can enter the portals of spiritual practices.

The Brahmavarchas Research Institute is targeting its  research on those areas that are related to the goals of various spiritual  practices. We are trying to prove that Gayatri Mantra Word Power is not some  ordinary ‘mutterings’ and that it instead activates via incitement our conscious  arena. Which precepts are involved in radiating our character and personality  and how does it influence the environment? This is being seriously studied at  the Brahmavarchas Research Institute. Word Power is an intense and terrific form  of divine energy. Various creatures inwardly contact one another with its help.  It is the fount of spiritual wisdom and modern scientific laws. Thus we must  deeply understand that Mantra Power can be used optimally in ones self/soul  unfolding, for helping in others advancement and transforming both the gross and  subtle atmosphere of the world in a very positive manner.

Another major research area dealt with by the  Brahmavarchas Research Institute is the mysteries of the Science of Mantra  Chanting called Japa. Over here we are mainly concentrating on Super Mantra  Gayatri. Very advanced scientific technical apparatus is being used in or hi-fi  laboratory to analyze the potential of Word Power while chanting Mantras. When  we hold spiritual camps for our devotees we also scientifically study the  results of Mantras chanted by them. So far the results indicate that Mantra  Energy is n-fold more powerful than Yantra Energy (machines and technology).

It is erroneous to believe that Agnihotra is simply a  lit pyre of fire. Instead know for sure that it is our Vital Force that  manifests a ‘divine fire’. In that not only are divine herbs made more subtle  that influence a vast area but that the devotees’ Mantra Power sanctifies and  makes more powerful their Vital Force energy (Prana Urja). Hence its widespread  influence is indeed gigantic and cosmic in nature. Great seers of yore proclaim  in one voice that Yajnas improve our physical health, purify our will power and  augment divinity in our soul force. Hence they are said to be priceless means of  remedial measures and ones all round progress. Further global pollution which is  cause for serious concern all over the world can be greatly warded off via  Yajnas and Mantra Chanting. It is strongly believed that rains can be invoked  via Yajnas. It is prudent to note that over here ‘rains’ does not simply mean  monsoon season but that the cosmic vital energy ‘rains’ on Earth so as to add  more vim and vigor in our plant life, other creatures and of course human beings  too.

If we make intense efforts to understand the true  utility of the above benefits and thus make optimal and apt use of them a bright  future is in the offing for world humanity and thus various problems faced by us  can be easily overcome. In this manner the Brahmavarchas Research Institute of  Shantikunj (Haridwar, Uttaranchal, India) is scientifically studying all the  principles and tenets that are the foundation stones of the Science of Sadhana  (spiritual practices). The progress attained via Spiritual Sciences should no  way be looked upon as superficial in comparison to the advancement attained via  Modern Material Science. Apart from Gayatri and Agnihotra, Spiritual Camps  organized by us deals with other forms of spiritual practices too. Its results  are being minutely noted via scientific experimentation techniques. When  spiritual seekers are made to undergo high leveled spiritual practices of  Brahmavarchas not only is their initial and final inner state is noted but that  the high-low and pendulum-like state that they go through in between too is  being focused on deeply. It is only then that we can truly understand the  important basis of Soul Science, the method of spiritual endeavor and the  underlying principle behind it. In this computer age of “I believe only that  which I perceive with my 5 senses” it is most required that we prove beyond  doubt to both, the laymen and highly intellectual class, the importance of both  material and spiritual tenets. This is exactly the task taken up on a war  footing by the Brahmavarchas Research Institute.

The most important aspect of Mysticism is to understand  deeply the benefits of interstellar space radiations and other potentials on our  planet Earth and that along with staving off side effects we make optimum gains  with its aid. Keeping this in mind a laboratory has been set up at Shantikunj to  study and note interstellar space movements and states. On the basis of these  calculations and other mathematical calculations a new Panchang shall be  published. In that not only the planets discovered by ancient seers but those  discovered by modern science like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto too will be dealt  with. It will encompass Panchangs of various regions and method of making a  Kundli (horoscope) of a person born in a particular place. Greater emphasis is  being laid on the influence of interstellar space emissions on the Earth’s  atmosphere and all creatures dwelling on it. On the basis of this finding we can  find methods of balancing varied circumstances that visit our daily life. Today  Astrology is called ‘blind belief’ but with our systematic scientific analysis  this will not be the case in the coming years. It is certainly not an  overstatement if we call this the total transformation of Astrological Sciences.

The Brahmavarchas Research Institute’s endeavor is  extremely priceless from the standpoint of elucidating the true nature of  Spiritual Sciences and Spiritual Practices (Sadhana Vijnana). Only time will  tell us as to how our sacred endeavor results in great service to world beings  for their material and spiritual unfolding.

WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF STRESS AND SORROW IN THIS WORLD?

23 Jul

Sorrow and pain manifest when we are unaware of certain  underlying realities. Maharshi Vasishtha while explaining to Lord Rama the cause  of sorrow says that it is spiritual ignorance (Ajnana or Maya). This ignorance  can be overcome via attainment of divine wisdom via the path of Yoga of Wisdom (Jnana  Yoga). As per the scripture Yoga Vasishtha:

“AAYADHO VYAADHAYASHCHAIVA

 DWAYA DUKHASYA KAARANAM.

 TANNIVRITIHI SUKHAM VIDYAAT

 TATKSHAYO MOKSHA UCHYATAY.”

MEANING: “This material world gives us to types of  sorrows i.e. bodily and mental. They can be overcome via wisdom (Jnana) based  austerities. Moksha or salvation is nothing but this overcoming of material  sorrow in totality.”

Thus it is a spiritual law that salvation is attained  only when all sorrows are destroyed lock, stock and barrel. Eternal spiritual  bliss means destruction of all sorrows. Thus salvation and divine bliss (Ananda)  are synonymous. If material sorrows are overcome totally salvation oriented  divine bliss manifests in our psyche eternally. Many a times we see people  attaining joy time and again in their life. They laugh, sing, dance, crack jokes  etc and thus experience joy. The question asked is that is their inner state  liberated? Meaning have they attained Mukti or salvation?

Definitely not! The above inner state of man can never  be called salvation or Mukti. The state of salvation is ceaseless, balanced,  imperishable and uniform and it does not require an external cause to manifest  it. This state does not ‘come’ from anywhere nor does it ‘go’ anywhere. It is  not created due to an external factor nor is it destroyed by it. It is self  manifesting and causeless. It is attained in totality, experienced in totality  and exists eternally. It is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent eternally.  After attaining the true bliss of salvation no other bliss remains to be  achieved. True salvation or Moksha is devoid of any desire, self fulfilling and  infinite bliss in nature.

 For more scientific e literature pls visit http://www.shriramsharma.com/books.htm www.awgpestore.com    http://www.dsvv.ac.in/ www.akhandjyoti.org   and http://www.awgp.org/

The previously mentioned material pleasures like  watching TV, dancing in discos, drinking alcohol, drug addiction etc do not have  the qualities of the true bliss of salvation. Material pleasures require  external causes and mediums. It manifests due to a cause and when the cause is  removed the pleasure too ends. Many a times even if the cause persists, the  pleasure diminishes and leads to aversion. Material pleasures are fleeting  because they ultimately lead to sorrow and strife. Today is someone is happy  because of a certain cause/medium, later at some point in time he/she will  definitely get pain precisely because of this very cause. Even if you get  intense material pleasures yet your psyche is never satiated and hence begs for  more and more. Material pleasures can never satiate us nor can they lead to  complete contentment. How can it e called eternal bliss if it is plagued with  discontent and lack of a sense of fulfillment? Even if someone is surrounded  with innumerable pleasures, it takes only one undesirable event that makes  him/her wallow in sorrow. Such a person’s smile is totally wiped off in a second  and so does his previously overjoyed bosom experience pain. THUS IT IS CLEAR  THAT THE BLISS OF SALVATION CAN NEVER BE COMPARED TO FLEETING MATERIAL SENSE  PLEASURES.

Material pleasures are an exercise in futility because  they are false and illusory in nature. Their experience is akin to sighting a  mirage in a dessert. This illusory experience is the root cause of labeling  material pleasures as lowly. True bliss can only be experienced at the soul  level and that too without the influence of any external cause/object/event. It  is only the bliss of salvation/liberation/Moksha that is true and eternal in the  absolute sense. We are dealing with the subject of the illusory nature of  fleeting sense pleasures so as to caution world humanity that we are all wasting  our entire life span in amassing material pleasures and clinging on to them as  though they are our very lifeline. Since our psyches are immersed in this  delusion we fail to first even understand what absolute reality is let alone  making sincere efforts to attain it. A deluded mind whose sole aim is to amass  fleeting pleasures can never even think about the absolute reality. Thus how  will it even think of attaining it? A deer in a dessert chases mirages in search  of water to quench its thirst. Time and again it thinks ‘just a few feet of  running and the water is mine’. Alas! It results in delusion and nothing but  tiring delusion. The deer’s thirst thus remains unquenched. If this deer had  only realized that this mirage is not a water pond but an illusion of its eyes,  it would have instead endeavored to hunt for a real water area and could have  quenched its thirst easily. But no! The lure of the mirage makes it run madly in  that direction only to end its life without quenching its thirst. Similarly  mankind is running after mirage like sense pleasures for his entire precious  lifetime. Ultimately he dies discontented and devoid of satiation. Instead if he  had realized that material pleasures are like illusory mirages he would have  first tried to realize where he could find absolute eternal bliss and then would  have made necessary efforts to attain it. It is in this sense that material  pleasures are called illusory and fleeting like dessert mirages. True bliss lies  not in amassing material pleasures but lies in the eternal bliss of the  salvation. One should intensely work hard to attain true salvation since it is  the true goal of all human lives.

Thus it is clear that sorrow after all is sorrow because  material joy ultimately results in anguish only. It is only when the burning  desire for fleeting material pleasures is overcome that eternal divine bliss can  be attained. Hence the important question asked is: How does one attain this  eternal bliss? An Indian scripture called YOGAVASISHTHA gives the answer:

“JNAANAANNIRDUKHATAAMAYTEE

  JNAANAADANAANA SANKSHAYA.

  JNAANAADEVA PARAASIDHIR

  NAANYASYAADRAAM VASTUTAHA.”

MEANING: O Rama! Only divine wisdom can ward off all  sorrow. Divine wisdom destroys spiritual ignorance. Divine wisdom leads us to or  ultimate goal of life. There is no other way to do so.

Further elaboration says:

“PRAJNAAM VIJNAATA VIJNAYAM

  SAMYAGA DARSHAN MAADHAYAHA.

  NA DAHANTI VANAM VARSHAAM

  SIKTAMAGNISHIKHAA IVA.”

MEANING: He is a realized saint who knows what is truly  to be known with the help of his sacred hindsight (Viveka). Such a saint is  never overcome by sorrow just like fire can never burn a forest which is wet  with rain water.

THE KEY THAT OPENS THE INFINITE VAULT OF MYSTERIOUS DIVINE POWERS CALLED RIDHI-SIDHIS

21 Jul

Since time immemorial many great sages and saints have  performed intense penance by adhering to the precepts of Gayatri meditation.  Gayatri is the key that opens the vault of all divine powers without exception.  Without Gayatri’s grace the lock of soul liberation can never open. Many  devotees have performed Yoga practices to please and get blessings from Rishis,  Munis, Rama, Krishna, Shankar, Vishnu, Brahma, Durga, Surya etc. Many have  devoted themselves to the formless God (Niraakaar Brahman). And yet each one of  them has had to first devote their mind to Gayatri. Without Gayatri’s blessings  none of our austerities and spiritual practices have the power to succeed.

Great scriptures proclaim:

“ASYA KASYAAPI MANTRASYA PURASHCHARANAMAARABHAIT.

VYAAHVRITI TRAYA SANYUKTAA GAYATRI CHAAYUTAM JAPAIT.

 NRISINHAARKA BARAAHYANAAM KAULAA TAANTRIKAA TATHAA.

BINAA JAPTAVAATU GAYATRI SATSARVA NISHPHALAM BHAVAIT.”

MEANING: One may chant any Mantra and yet its Vyahvriti  should be done alongside Gayatri Mantra chanting. One may worship Nrisingha,  Surya, Vaaraha etc or one might perform Kaul Tantrik exercises of the Vaam Path  and yet without Gayatri’s blessings none of them can bear fruit.

Gayatri is the Divine Mother of all the 4 Vedas. Without  her help none of the Dakshina Path austerities (Vedic in nature) can succeed  truly. Tantriks, Kauls, Avadhootas, Kaapaalikas, Aghoras etc of the Vaam Path  require certain powers and their roots lie in none other than Gayatri. Many  master the Shabar Mantra without Gayatri’s grace. Hence for a short time span  they show momentary ‘miracles’ but later all their powers come to naught. Only  that devotee who manifests Divine Powers from their very source attains them  ceaselessly and eternally. Mantra chanting without devotedly serving Gayatri can  never give long lasting joy and soul power.

Ancient history and mythology (Puraanaas) maintain that  Rishis, Munis etc of yore who performed various Yoga based penance did so with  the blessings of Gayatri. Lord Krishna in the Bhagwad Geeta says: Gayatri  Chhanda Saamaham meaning I (God) am Gayatri manifest. No other Mantra is as  suitable as Gayatri to meditate on the Almighty Lord.

In this book it is not possible for me to give a  detailed biography of great saints like Vashishtha, Yaajnavalkya, Atri,  Vishwaamitra, Bharadwaaj, Naarada, Kapil, Kanaad, Gautam, Vyaas, Shukadeva,  Dadheechee, Vaalmiki, Vana, Shankha, Lomus, Taiteraiya, Jaabaalee, Uddaaalaka,  Vaishampaayan, Duravaasaa, Parshuraama, Pulista, Dattatreya, Agastya, Sanat  Kumaras, Kanva, Shaunaka etc to show how their austerities succeeded only after  devoting their minds at the holy feet of Mother Gayatri. It was the power of  Gayatri imbibed by great Rishis which helped them perform gigantic tasks for  world welfare. Respected readers are hereby encouraged to read ancient spiritual  history of India along with Puraanaas (Mythology) and find more details of the  lives of the great Rishis mentioned above.

A few decades back there was a great saint who evolved  his soul radiantly with the help of Gayatri. Of course there is a possibility  that his idol, ideals and principles were different yet everyone had great faith  in the Mother of the Vedas viz. Gayatri. Initially he had imbibed the divine  energy of Gayatri and thus later he became a great saint. It was due to Mother  Gayatri’s blessings that Shankaracharya, Samarth Guru Ramdas, Narsinha Mehta,  Dadu Dayal, Saint Jnaneshwar, Swami Ramanand, Gorakhnath, Machindranath, Haridas,  Tulsidas, Ramanujacharya, Madhavacharya, Ramkrishna Paramhans, Swami Vivekanand,  Ramtirth, Yogi Aurobindo, Maharshi Raman, Gauranga Mahaprabhu, Saint Ekrasanand  and other revered saints attained divinity or God Realization.

There are man contemporary saints who either live in  society or other mysterious places like mountain caves, forests etc so as to  perform austerities. All of them are unswerving devotees of Gayatri. Mahatma  Gandhi, Mahatma Malviya, Rabindranath Tagore, T.Subbarow, Sir Radhakrishnan,  Jagadguru Shankaracharya, Swami Shivanand and other great spiritual preceptors  have given their valuable message on the deep import of Gayatri. Thus we all can  benefit tremendously by reflecting meditatively on their message. The founder  editor of Akhand Jyoti magazine (our revered author) had devoted his sacred life  to Gayatri meditation and had thus exalted his spiritual stature gigantically.

Whether they were Rishis-Munis of ancient civilization  or whether they are great contemporary saintly beings, one thing is common to  all of them and that is their spiritual goals were achieved due to Gayatri’s  holy blessings. All great scholars of various scriptures and Yogic spiritual  seekers always were first initiated into Gayatri meditation. After that they  were free to choose their idol (Krishna, Shiva, Rama etc) and mode of penance.  From the very commencement of creation Gayatri has been the leader amongst all  Yoga practices. No other spiritual endeavor is as easy, straightforward, less  time consuming and which reaps sure success when one compares them with Gayatri  practices. It is only the boat of Gayatri practices that helps us cross the  river of this world of pain bestowing dualities (joy-sorrow, profit-loss,  good-bad etc). Gayatri is that holy wish fulfilling cow (Kamdhenu) who bestows  material and spiritual bliss equally on householder devotees or mendicants who  renounce their home and hearth in search of spiritual joy. Both these class of  human beings can avail the divine powers as blessings from Mother Gayatri.

The most special characteristic of Gayatri meditation is  that those spiritual goals attained by Rishis, Munis, Yogis etc living in  forests, mountain caves etc (far away from the humdrum of society) are attained  by those Gayatri devotees who live a householder’s way of life i.e. living in a  fast paced world. A definite goal attained by Gayatri worshippers is  purification and focus of their psyche. Any Gayatri devotee who chants the  Gayatri Mantra with one pointed faith and devotion will attain purity of thought  word and deed. Vile qualities start diminishing in their psyche and positive,  wholesome qualities wax day in and day out. Just as you wash a dirty vessel with  soap water so that it starts glistening, just as you wipe of the thick layer of  dust on a mirror so that you can see your face clearly reflected in it, just as  you remove the thick layer of ash in a coal furnace so that the fire blazes  forth brightly in the same way Gayatri cleanses the psyche of its devotee and  this helps the devotee’s previously latent divine powers manifest in full  strength. Thus not only does the devotee prosper both materially and spiritually  but he/she becomes a very important instrument of Almighty God to usher in world  peace and brotherhood. Anyone who drinks the divine milk from the sacred bosom  of Divine Mother Gayatri (whether a man of renunciation or a householder living  in the thick of things) will attain both bodily and mental sanctity.

SPIRITUAL PRACTICES FOR MANIFESTATION OF DIVINE AURA AND LIGHT

19 Jul

In order to attain Brahmavarchas or divine light, there are  many high statured spiritual practices.  Their methods and fruits are varied.   In this book it is not possible to describe them.  Spiritual practices of  manifestation of divine light which help attract the vital force of Savita /  Savitri / Gayatri and ripen them in one’s soul, is one such amongst high  statured spiritual practices and meditation methods.  In a certain manner it is  self-fulfilled and one can take its help for carrying out Gayatri Meditation.

Preliminary spiritual practices involve worship of Mother’s  photograph.  It is of great importance as far as purification of devotional  sentiments and intensification of faith is concerned.  Despite this one has to  take help of higher leveled meditation techniques for attaining the goal of  spirituality.  Due to meditation on the idol of God one attains the power of  intuition, power of predicting the future, dreams that depict future events,  vision of Goddess and manifestation of divine sentiments in one’s psyche.  As  against this the 3 types of Muktis (salvation) viz. Salokhya (dwelling in God’s  abode), Sarupya (attaining God’s own form) and Sayujya (becoming one with God)  are the foundation stones of Self-Realization.  This state is achieved when one  practices merging of one’s psyche into Gayatri’s radiant light.  It further  results in a trance (Samadhi) which is an intense state of merging one’s soul  into divine light.  Such a spiritual seeker experiences a merging with Savita’s  light and experiences the cosmic soul (God).  From this standpoint it is most  required that one undergoes spiritual practices that lead to manifestation of  divine light.

For this there is no need of photographs or images.  If at  night one’s eyes open, one can execute them while lying down on bed.  One can  meditate even on an armchair.  While keeping the body in a relaxed state and  focusing of the mind, one must perform spiritual practices at convenient times.   What is the time limit?  This depends on how much time you can spare.  This time  should be partitioned in a 3-fold manner.  In the first part strive for  manifestation of divine light in the physical body, in the second part strive  for manifestation of divine light in the subtle body and in the third part  strive for manifestation of divine light in the causal body.

The inspirational rays of the Lords’ divine light always  flow in the subtle world.  Any spiritual seeker can imbibe this via faith,  mental concentration and devotional meditation as explained in this book.  Those  spiritual seekers attached to the Gayatri Parivar should spare 2 hours for this  spiritual practice.  In that one experiences one’s energy flow contacting Great  Divine Powers and one gets special joy while meditating at such times.  These  times are at 8-10 p.m. at night and 3 to 5 a.m. in the morning.  One must  utilize time during these hours for meditation as per one’s convenience.

For more scientific e literature pls visit http://www.shriramsharma.com/books.htm www.awgpestore.com    http://www.dsvv.ac.in/ www.akhandjyoti.org   and http://www.awgp.org/

In the beginning stages the time used should not exceed  half an hour both in the morning and evening.  Slowly this half an hour can be  extended to one hour.  One can meditate also in the early part of night and its  final phase.  Both together should include time between 1 and 2 hours.  At the  most utilize 2 hours for the entire day of 24 hours.  If excess divine light is  imbibed, it creates difficulties.  Hence imbibe only as much as it can be  digested.  It is the devotee himself who will decide at what time will he  perform these spiritual practices, how many times, in what manner etc.  Based on  one’s circumstances one must make necessary schedules and make sure that this  schedule is followed implicitly.  In order that we attain our spiritual goal it  is apt and most required that there be a specific time span and apt  circumstances.  Spiritual practices that lead to manifestation of divine light  should be carried out as follows: –

1)      Relax every part of the body.  Devotionally feel that the mind, body and  soul are absolutely calm, devoid of worries and blissful.  By thinking thus for  5 minutes one attains peace in one’s psyche which helps meditation.

2)      Meditate on the fact that divine light pervades all corners of the  world.   Light is spread out above, below, within, without etc.  From the sun,  Mother Gayatri’s aura is approaching you and that you are surrounded on all  sides with Gayatri’s divine light.

3)      Through various bodily openings this divine light is slowly entering  every organ and skin pore of the body.  The heart, lungs, liver, intestines,  head, hands and legs are imbibing this divine light so as to get apt  nourishment.  Our tongue, genitals, eyes, ears, nose etc. are being illuminated  by this light and thus are also being sanctified.  Their lack of sense control  is being burnt to nought.  This light of sacredness is purifying every pore of  the body.

First meditate on the thought that  our bodily blood, flesh, bones etc. are manifesting divine light.  Then after  meditating on its strong, sacred, zestful and illumined form, meditate on the  subtle body.  The brain (head) is the abode of the subtle body.

4)      Meditate on the fact that innumerable centers of mental energy and  thoughts are hidden in the tender particles spread out in the brain.  Gayatri  light has entered all these centers and all these particles shine like jewels.

5)      As soon as this divine light enters one’s psyche it destroys its  spiritual ignorance, lack of self control, selfishness, delusion, fear and  attachment and replaces all these with discrimination, higher thinking, balance  of mind and sacred aspirations.  This light of Mother Gayatri converts our  ordinary thinking to the viewpoint of great men.  Further we are imbibing this  divine light with greater faith and measure in our brain.

6)      Meditate on the thought that the infinite manifested light of  interstellar space is entering the light (that measures one thumb) present in  our heart.  This thumb like light’s narrowness is being warded off and is  attaining greatness.  Thus a give and take bond is established between micro  (living being) and macro (God).

For more scientific e literature pls visit http://www.shriramsharma.com/books.htm www.awgpestore.com    http://www.dsvv.ac.in/ www.akhandjyoti.org   and http://www.awgp.org/

7)      The small light of a living being is conjoined to the supreme light of  God like the proverbial moth who gets burnt in a flame. We are surrendering our  lowly ego by giving Ahutis (sacred offerings) of it to the gigantic Yajna fire  Who is none other that Almighty God.  Like the Indian partridge (red legged) it  experiences joy by looking upon this divine light as the moon.  Thus it  experiences untold bliss.

8)      As a result of this sacred union, waves of good-will towards the entire  world rise in the psyche.  Ideals and greatness have attained fulfillment.   One’s aspirations to follow the Lord’s commands and ideals, intensify further.   By visualizing the Lord in every atom of the cosmos, one realizes firmly that  “The world is united as a single family.”  One imbibes the ideal of “Service  towards all world creatures” and thus one tastes the bliss of devotion to one’s  beloved Lord.

The greatest force that bestows  material and spiritual life in this world is spirituality.  With its help man  realizes his true nature (Who am I? I am the soul and not this physical, gross  body).  He sees at an experiential level that all living beings are part and  parcel of One Super Power and they can experience a sense of oneness with this  Super Power.  These divine sentiments infinitely augment our energy.  Via  spiritual practices of “Divine light manifestation” man experiences the true  nature of the all-pervasive soul principle.  The more this subtle experience  intensifies, the more one’s soul experience, self-realized state and experience  of being the soul and not the body, intensifies.

9)      TITLE OF VEDA INCARNATE AND GREAT YOGI – BESTOWED A FEW DECADES BACK IN  PUNJAB BY PRESIDENT (INDIA) SARVAPALLI RADHAKRISHNAN

A religious gathering was organized which was  attended by great Pandits, scholars and Vedic Acharyas of India.  Our revered  Gurudeva (Shrirama Sharma) too was invited.  India’s then President, Dr.  Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan eulogoized revered Shriram Sharma Acharyaji for very  skillfully laying down the true essence of spirituality as mentioned in the 4  Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, scriptures and all precepts of various religions.   Hence Dr. Radhakrishnan gave our revered Gurudeva the title “Veda incarnate and  great Yogi.”

10)  SPIRITUAL GUIDE

Shriram Sharma Acharya’s revered Gurudeva Shri  Sarveshwaranandji lives on the Mahendragiri Mountain of the Himalayas at a  height of 22,000 feet in the Parashuram cave for the past 651 years (maybe  more).  This Mahayogi lives naked in this cave even today and this area has  heavy snowfall all the year round.  As long as Shriram Sharma Acharya was alive,  he was guided by this Mahayogi.

11)  MANTRA INITIATION GURU : Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya initiated child  Shriram Sharma at the age of 7 when he was given Yajnopaveet (sacred thread  ceremony).

12)  At a very young age, Gurudeva Shriram Sharma surrendered his entire being  at the feet of his own Gurudeva – Sarveshwaranandji Maharaj.

Ordinarily a child is full of fun,  and laughter during childhood but Shriram Sharma Acharya as a child was very  steadfast towards his spiritual practices.  He would tell everybody “My home is  in the Himalayan mountains.”  Not only this but at the tender age of 8 years,  without informing anyone, this divine child left his home.  After intense search  his relatives found him.  Shriram very innocently but firmly said, “Of what use  is it to me that I come home with you?  My home is in the Himalayas and I wish  to reside there.”  At that time neither his family members, parents or village  men even imagined that this jewel who was separated from the Himalayas will one  day go there and come in contact with his spiritual guide( Gurudeva).

13)  In Samvat 1983 when Shriram Sharmaji was meditating, a divine aura of  light surrounded him.  This light then took up a solid human form which was that  of his spiritual guide H.H. Shri Sarveshwaranandji.  He instructed young Shriram  to worship Gayatri for the next 24 years and after saying this he disappeared.

14)  At the age of 15 years he started a series of Gayatri Purascharanas.  For  the following 24 years, without pause, he executed 24 Purascharanas of 24 lakh  Gayatri Mantras.  Along with this he lit a flame lamp and Yajna fire  continuously.  He would feed cows with jowar seeds and he would collect the  seeds excreted by cows with their stools.  With these seeds he would make Indian  rotis (bread) and eat it.  He would eat nothing else.

15)  In the year 1959 A.D. revered Shriram Sharmaji left for the Himalayas all  alone.  There he performed intense austerities in the various snow clad  regions.  In the year 1962 A.D. he again resided all alone in a very thick  forest area of the Himalayas for 3 months.  Over there, there were many  herbivorous and carnivorous animals.  In the presence of our revered Gurudeva,  these carnivorous animals stopped eating flesh and danced about with other  herbivorous animals.  This indeed was a great divine episode.

16)  Between the years 1970-72 he decided to go to the Himalayas after  renouncing his householder’s way of life. He came in contact with his Gurudeva  Sarveshwaranandji and lived with him for 1 year. Later Sarveshwanandji commanded  his disciple Shriram Sharmaji to spread the divine wisdom he had attained to all  human beings of the world.

17)  After returning from the Himalayas, Shriram Sharmaji decided he would not  reside in Mathura.  He instead decided to reside in the area where 7 Rishis of  ancient India had performed austerities.

18)  In the year 1979 he started establishing Gayatri Shaktipeethas and Prajna  Peethas in the entire world.  And in the year 1982 – 1985 he established more  than 6000 small / big service oriented centers so as to spiritually awaken world  humanity.  In 84 nations of the world, Shriram Sharma Acharya started scientific  and spiritual research centers of the Gayatri Mantra.  The research knowledge  gained was spread in all corners of the world.

19)  SPIRITUAL ATTAINMENTS –

A great devotee of Kundalini  (Divine Serpent Power) and Panchagni ( 5 fires) Science.  It’s a rare  achievement after what Lord Buddha attained.  The proof of Gurudeva’s  achievement externally is the fact that the hair on his head always rise  upwards.  Even if with the help of a comb etc. his hair is pressed downwards, it  yet remains high and raised.

20)  SPIRITUAL PRACTISES OF SUBTILIZATION VEERBHADRA CREATION :

Before Gurudeva Shriramji passed  away, he performed spiritual austerities of subtilization – or Sookshmeekaran.   An atom bomb is made up of very micro units that can destroy the gigantic  world.  Subtilization means to convert utilization of gross bodily functions  like sleeping, eating, drinking etc. for higher goals.  The gross body is  converted to the subtle body and thus with its help, such a person can attain  many subtle bodies.  These subtle bodies then create desired movements in the  subtle world which in turn execute miraculous tasks.  One such task of Shri  Gurudeva was to transform the very psyche of world humanity for the better and  thus create a new world and a new era.

21)   Via this subtilization penance, a bright future for 450 crores of people  will be created.  The body has 5 Koshas ( 5 sheaths) viz : 1) Food 2) Vital  force 3) Mental 4) Intellectual 5) Bliss.  From these 5 sheaths, Shriram  Sharmaji created 5 Veerbhadras who with their subtle presence will create  movements in the gross world.  In this manner a positive transformation of the  psyche of world humanity will be executed and thus a new radiant era will be  ushered in.  All creatures of the world with an ethical character, will live a  life of purity and that era will be called a Great Era.

22)  CREATION, REFLECTION AND PUBLICATION OF SPIRITUAL TEXTS :

Gurudeva translated the 4 Vedas,  108 Upanishads, 20 Smritis, 6 Darshans, Yog Vashishtha, 24 Geetas, 18 Puranas,  Brahmanas, Aranyaka and Sutra texts into simple Hindi.

In Russia, Kolkata and Lucknow  Universities, these translated texts have been included in their syllabus.  In  Switzerland and U.S.A., creative research studies are being conducted on these 4  Vedas.

23)  Gurudeva Shriramji published 1976 books that included his writings  pertaining to overcoming social problems, importance of uniting religion and  culture, Gayatri Super Science, Yogic Mantra chanting, austerities, Pranayam,  Kundalini awakening etc. All these topics have been written in a scientific  manner.  He changed the viewpoint of humanity with the help of books that  covered great thinking of Lord Parshuram in ancient times and modern day great  men like Karl Marx, Herithesto, Budha, Gandhi etc.  In the same way our Gurudeva  would write down his deep thoughts everyday.  Totally he wrote about 1651  folders.

24)  Ordinary men have lost faith because of lowly thinking and unethical  actions of vile men.  In order to ward off this lack of faith, the philosophy of  Ritambhara Mahapragna (divine intellect) and its application can work like a  divine weapon.  An original creation in the form of a book called “Prajna Purana”  helped convince people that a new creation is in the offing.  This he did via  examples from the past and proof from major religious texts of the world.  This  Prajna Purana has been published in 3 volumes and in future it will totally  cover 18 volumes.

H.H. Revered Shri Shriram Sharma  Acharya is the confluence of the radiance of all Rishis of ancient India and  hence has been given the title Yugadevata and Yuga Rishi.

1)                    As a symbol of Lord Parshuram’s axe, Gurudeva ushered in a creative  revolution with the creation of a new era.  This was aided by his mighty pen and  speeches from Shantikunj( Haridwar, India)

2)                    Bhagirath in ancient times had manifested the river Ganges on earth via  intense austerities.  Similarly our Gurudeva manifested the Ganges of divine  wisdom (Gayatri) via austerities of 24 Purashcharanas of 24 lakh Gayatri Mantra  chanting.

3)                    In ancient times Charak had discovered many forest herbs that bestowed  good health and a new lease of life.  This task is at present being executed in  Shantikunj, so as to rejuvenate our ancient medical science called Ayurveda.

4)                    Maharshi Vyas had written many Puranas (Indian Mythology) with Lord  Ganesha’s blessings.  Similarly Gurudeva Shriram Sharma too published the 4  Vedas, 108 Upanishads, Darshans, Smritis, Geeta, Prajna Purana in 18 volumes  alongwith other books on social revolution at the world level.

5)                    Maharshi Patanjali had given us the 8-fold method of Yoga called  Asthangyoga.  Today at Shantikunj, modern doctors are conducting research on  Yoga and encouraging every one to practise the same.

6)                    Yajnavalkya was well-known for conducting Yajnas (fire sacrifices).   Brahmavarchas Research Centre, founded by Gurudeva, uses forest herbs for Yajnas  and this in turn cures bodily / mental illnesses, overcomes mental taints,  raises our vital force (for Kundalini awakening) and balances our atmosphere by  warding off pollution.

7)                    Vishwamitra who is the seer of the Gayatri Mantra had created a new  universe.  Gayatri Teerth, Shantikunj has been built on that very land where  Vishwamitraji had realized Adi Shakti (Primordial Divine Power).  This land with  subtle pious qualities, is gaining more radiance because of Japa, worship and  Yajnas executed by thousands of people over here.  Research is being conducted  on sound power and Savitri Science.

8)                    Jamadagni Rishi in the past founded a Gurukul (school), where both  children and senior citizens were given apt education.  Today at Shantikunj  devotees are trained to serve world humanity.  Families are inspired to imbibe  sacred ideals in life.

9)                    Naradji spiritually awakened world humanity by traveling all over the  world.  Shantikunja’s training institute has trained many devotees who move in  the world and spread the message of our revered Gurudeva.

10)                Vashishtha was an adept both in the fields of spirituality and politics.   Gurudeva Shriram Sharma fought for India’s independence between the years  1930-1947 A.D.  Later via books based on revolutionary thinking, he indirectly  tried complementing religion and good governance.

11)                Adi Shankaracharya had established 4 Mathas (hermitages)  in 4  corners  of India.  Under Shantikunja’s guidance, apart from 4,000 Pragna Peethas,  Shaktipeethas and 24,000 self-study centers were established.

 For more scientific e literature pls visit http://www.shriramsharma.com/books.htm www.awgpestore.com    http://www.dsvv.ac.in/ www.akhandjyoti.org   and http://www.awgp.org/

12)                Rishi Pipplad studied and controlled his mind by eating fruits and  leaves.  Our Gurudeva partook meals of jowar roti (Indian bread) and buttermilk  for 24 long years.  Till the day he died he ate only boiled cereals and  vegetables.

13)                Kanad an heir of Atharveda tradition put forth the atomic theory and  theory of scientific spirituality. At Brahmavarchas Institute, spirituality is  being researched in a scientific manner.

14)                Aaryabhatta studied the effect of the planets of the solar system on  earth and gave certain mathematical principles for the same.  In Shantikunja,  astrological research studies are being conducted.

15)                Thousands of Bhikshus (mendicants) traveled all over the world to spread  Lord Budha’s message. Similarly thousands of initiated disciples of Shantikunja  are spreading the message of divine culture in all corners of the world.

16)                Polar center- Himalays – Gayatri Teerth – A divine atmosphere has been  created over here due to the subtle presence of Rishis and demi-gods.  Spiritual  seekers and members of Gayatri Parivar should spend some time at least once a  year at Shantikunja which as a spiritual cultured sanatorium.  Thus they can  benefit from its sacred vibrations.

17)                THE DEEP IMPORT OF THREE PREVIOUS INCARNATIONS OF GURUDEVA SHRIRAM  SHARMAJI –

1)      The first incarnation was in the form of Saint Kabir (1398-1518 A.D.).   He lived with his wife in Banaras.  All his life Kabirji attacked atrocities  carried out in the name of religion.  He spoke of spirituality in a  straightforward manner.

2)      The second incarnation was in the form of Samarth Ramdas (1608-1682  A.D.).  With the help of his devotee Shivaji, he untied minor states of Southern  India.  He created an atmosphere of independence and established body building  centers everywhere.  He encouraged people to attend spiritual discourses so as  to infuse divinity in one’s life.

3)      The third incarnation was in the form of Shri Ramakrishna Paramhans  (1836-1886 A.D.).  He lived with his wife Shardamani in Kolkatta.  Again by  leading a householder’s life, he moulded his great disciple Swami Vivekananda.   He made Vivekananda a medium, so as to awaken sacred principles in the minds of  world humanity.

This institute has 3 floors.  The ground floor has  24 idols that represent the 24 energy streams of Gayatri (12 Vaam Margis /  Tantrik and 12 Dakshin Margis / Vedic).  This institute has proved with  necessary proofs that the 24 letters of Gayatri Mantra are the 24 incarnations  of God, 24 demi-gods, 24 Rishis, 24 Yogic practices, 24 austerities, 24 Gurus of  Lord Dattatreya, 24 Ridhi-Sidhiss and divine glories.  The first floor has a  laboratory.  It houses various technological apparatus and advanced machines, to  monitor man’s psyche and body.  This research is carried out by reputed  scientists and doctors.

Just like Allopathy and  Homeopathy, Rishis of yore invented Yajnopathy wherein the sacred smoke of a  Yajna fire wards off our illnesses.  A patient is asked to sit in a closed of  laboratory of glass and is exposed to various types of Yajna fumes.  We are glad  to inform all readers that this treatment via Yajna fumes has cured thousands of  people who suffered from various diseases.

Over and above this, Gurudeva  vehemently opposed blind beliefs, vile traditions, fundamentalism, dowry, etc.   He encouraged an attitude of equality towards all religions.  He always spoke of  one religion, one action and one goal.  He said that there should be only one  form of religion in the entire world.  Further he spoke of the importance of  looking upon the entire world as our Mother (Vishwamata).  He designed programs  for upliftment of women and healthcare for all.  He inspired all his followers  to patiently endure all obstacles which he had predicted, that would come their  way between the years 1985-2000 A.D.  He further predicted that after the year  2000 A.D. slowly but surely an atmosphere of sacredness will envelope the entire  world.

THE MYSTERY OF YOGA AND THE BOUQUET OF SIDHIS

14 Jul

Yoga means the union of the individual soul with the  cosmic soul who is otherwise called God.  When numbers are added up its value  increases manifold.  Man is a descendent of apes.  In the Adam Age he was like  this only.  In New Guinea even today there are some Adivasis (Aborigines) who  have the culture of Adam’s era.  The males/females are stark naked.  For food  they depend on animal flesh, roots, fruits etc.  They run miles away from so  called civilized men and hence their language too is not evolved.  They can  utter only a few words and they mainly communicate by sign language and  gestures.  But from the bodily viewpoint they are more powerful because they can  tolerate intense heat, cold rain etc.  In a certain manner even man follows the  culture of Adam’s era.  He is well versed in eating, procreating and manifesting  greed, attachment etc.  He detests imbibing human values that augment the glory  of all mankind.

The  glories of greatness and ethics is always conjoined to God.  When man unites  with God via faith he definitely rises above the culture of Adam’s era.  Just as  when husband-wife cooperate with one another so as to make their home heavenly  in the same way when man unites with God he becomes divine.  Hence greatness of  Yogic practise is eulogized and those understanding the importance of soul  upliftment walk on this path.

Yoga is classified in 2 ways.  The first is external Yoga and the second  internal Yoga.  External Yoga is that in which bodily exercises are given  importance.  This external Yoga encompasses posture, breathing exercises, Bandha,  Mudras, chanting of Mantras, Yajna, worship of God, pilgrimages, singing God’s  name etc.  Another name for this external Yoga is Kriya Yoga.  One of its  branches is called Hatha Yoga.  Here external bodily activities are emphasized  upon.  Emphasis is laid on its mode and rules.  Its results depend on how aptly  it was made use of.  Kriya Yoga influences our health, radiance, intellectual  sharpness etc.  Some control of the mind also takes place.

The  second class is internal Yoga.  Here the scattered mind and vital force are  concentrated and focused.  Vile psychic imprints have to be purified and our  thinking has to be made high.  There are many types of meditations.  All of them  come under the flagship of internal Yoga.

Generally in meditation one pours one’s loving devotion towards an imaginary  image of God and one tries to experience it as very close to oneself.  Further  experiences involve Naad Yoga (sound), Soham (that I am) spiritual practise,  drinking of Soma juice via Khechri Mudra etc.  Internal Yoga also involves  Chakravedhan (journey through the 6 Chakras), Kundalini awakening, Granthi  Vedhan etc. because over here one’s thought waves are given a proper focused  direction.  In it there is no need of Kriya Yoga which involves bodily  exercises.

Kriya Yoga is limited to the energy and ordinary extrasensory potential of the  gross body.  The sense organs are gross in nature.  It is counted as a bodily  part.  Its power too is gross only.  The subtilization of sensory potentials  does only this much that without any other paraphernalia and with the help of  any other sense organ the intellectual nerves of the brain solve certain gross  problems.  For eg. If one is blind one can utilize the sense organ of touch and  with the fingers know of the presence of objects, letters etc. (i.e. in  Braille).  Within Suprapsycho Sciences, hearing distant sounds, seeing distant  objects, telepathy are looked upon as extrasensory perception (ESP).  All this  is a play of the intellect.  The difference only is this that in comparison to  direct mediums one attains the potential of identifying and catching waves of  heat, sound and light.  This can come under material benefit and success.   Although this is looked upon as spiritual yet it is not true.  The activities of  God are very extraordinary and mysterious.  God cannot be understood by our  material apparatus.  According to the great scientist Albert Einstein, Particle  Physics is yet very crippled and lame.  It cannot give us information of the  cosmic divine power i.e. God.  There is a cosmic consciousness that rules over  our entire cosmos.  This consciousness can be called God, Brahman, all pervasive  cosmic soul etc.  The entire family of Ridhi-Sidhi (divine powers) is a mere  glimpse of God.

According to the materialistic scholar and philosopher Sir Jams Jeans all  materialistic events in the world are apt.  That which we call an accident is  actually the above mentioned.  Its creator is definitely a great calculator,  very powerful and an invisible power.  It should be called God.  This world  cannot be an inert machine because every object, creature, living being etc. of  the world has consciousness inherent in them and that they are always active.   When the individual consciousness works in tandem with the cosmic consciousness  (God) it is called Yoga.

There is a description in the Ashwamedha Parva of Mahabharat that there are  divine saints (Sidhas) who with their divine eye can see the giving up of the  body, its taking up a fresh new body and entering the body of another species.   People with strong will power are capable of establishing goodwill and  cooperation of subtle bodied souls with human beings.  One of the  characteristics of realized-seer saints is that they can contact the subtle  world.

It  is a divine power to “tie up” time which is a result of Kundalini awakening.   Yogi Changdev during the times of Saint Janneshwar was 400 years old due to the  power of Yogic penance.  Later as per the advice of Saint Jnaneshwar he gave up  his mortal coil.  Our subtle bodied revered preceptor who lives in the tough  terrain of the lofty Himalayas is beyond the limits of time and space.

The  great saint Tailang Swami at the age of 280 years had given up his mortal coil  in Varanasi according to the Indian calendar on Paush Shukla Ekadashi Vikram  Samvat 1944.  He was born in Vikram Samvat 1644 in the household of a Brahmin  landlord.  In the Pushkar region he had taken Sanyas initiation from Bhagirath  Swami.  His preceptor had named him Ganapati Swami but he was well known as  Tailang Swami.  He was a great spiritual aspirant, Yogi and server of all  beings.  Many miraculous events are associated with him.  Even Swami Vivekanand  had mentioned his name and he was alive during Swami Dayanandji’s life too.  By  attaining the highest spiritual goal of Yoga he attained many divine powers  too.  Once Tailang Swami performed austerities in the jungles of Nepal.  The  King of Nepal had come hunting there along with his army.  A tiger saved its  life when attacked by the King.  But the army chief followed the tiger.  The  tiger entered the hermitage of Tailang Swami.  It placed its head at the feet of  the Swamiji and sat down quietly.  Swamiji started fondling the tiger.  When the  army chief and the King saw this scene they were wonderstruck.

This incidence is related not for idle curiosity but for the fact that via  spiritual powers generated from austerities one can actually change the  direction of the flow of the subtle world.  Also one can to a an extent ward off  one’s ill fate and become a medium for letting those events occur which were  otherwise not destined to take place.  It is said that the demi-gods have the  power to bless and cure.  But in fact a Yogi, saint etc. of high spiritual  stature too can accomplish this. If you connect an inactive wire to another wire  in which electric current flows the former too will become active.  Hence if one  conjoins to the divine power of demi-gods then that person too attains those  powers and thus enters the storehouse of divine powers that belongs to God.   This entrance into the region of divine powers is not superficial but is a kind  of partnership.  If there is a shop with many business partners each one can  take goods from it. Definitely partnership gives you this right but if you are  just a lay devotee and have not merged deeply into God, he only has the right to  beg for things from God.

External Yoga or Kriya Yoga involves only the external world that is visible.   It can grow, shift, raise or decrease things.  It can also sometimes hide or  manifest things but does not have the power to enter the recesses of another’s  psyche.  It is easy to lead anyone to his downfall.  This is easily accomplished  by criminals, gamblers, looters etc.  But it is a totally different story when  it involves materially and spiritually uplifting others.  It is the word arrows  that reach the target on dot.  If you throw a pile of mud it can go anywhere and  that too at a long distance.  There is no control over it.  Only apt hands can  measure true control of things.  It is entirely their decision as to in what  direction and how high someone is to be uplifted.  Such a person knows exactly  how to dive deep into an oil well and measure it according to their capability.   A small jump can be executed by anybody but it is possible only for gigantic  rockets to rise high into the sky and even cross over the atmospheric covering  of the earth so as to enter interstellar space.  The relationship of the  individual soul uniting with God via Yoga is proof of all the divine powers that  manifest (like Ridhi-Sidhi).  Great Sidhas are no doubt divine men.  Their grace  full of discrimination (Viveka) can either spiritually uplift someone or even  bestow the blessing of material well being.  Only such divine saints can reach  great heights of divine powers.

Like the visible world there is a hidden subtle world and we sometimes get a  glimpse of it in the dream state or in Nirvikalpa Samadhi (thought free  trance).  Scriptural scholars call it the other world.  They are subtle in  nature.  They are invisible.  There is no world of this sort in our stars and  galaxies.  That means that there is no Shiv Loka, heaven, hell, Brhama Loka over  there as described in our scriptures.  Because all the 7 worlds are invisible in  the cosmos.  They cannot be seen by our gross eyes.  In these subtle invisible  worlds one finds demi-gods, Pitrus, Sidhas, spiritually liberated ones etc.   These worlds are not materialistic but are at the divine emotional level.  Those  living in these worlds are full of bliss, enthusiasm, peace, vigour etc.   Those  divine aides (Parshads) of God dwell in these subtle worlds.  At an appropriate  time these aides manifest on earth when God himself incarnates as a great saint,  prophet, uplifter of all etc.  Their invisible body remains only as long as  their specific task is to be executed and they later become invisible and subtle  as before.  This group of aides is not small.  In comparison to the number of  creatures living in this gross material world, the number of beings residing in  these subtle, invisible worlds is not less.  Just as amongst worldly men there  are very capable and radiant people so too in the subtle, invisible world there  are classes of souls with divine glories.  These divine glories are not just  stored by these great souls but that they generously donate it to other souls  who are imbued with apt credentials.

Narsinh Mehta wanted wealth for spiritual purposes.  Some mendicants approached  him and said that some village folks had asked them (mendicants) to approach  Narsinh.  We are going to Dwarka.  Please keep Rs. 700/00 with you and give us a  bill of exchange so that we do not face danger of getting looted on the way and  that in the city of Dwarka we can get back our cash.  Narsinh thinking that this  was some sort of help from God accepted the cash.  He wrote the bill of exchange  in the name of his beloved friend Lord Shri Krishna.  In Dwarka Lord Krishna  disguised as a businessman accepted the bill of exchange and gave the mendicants  Rs. 700/00.  In reality it is God who propels great spiritual aspirants via  their pure hearts to overcome the sorrow of those in need.

Yogiraj Maharshi Aurobindo said that the departed soul of Swami Vivekanand gave  him many inspiring thoughts.  In 1901 the soul of Paramhans Ramkrishna inspired  him to perform spiritual practices for cosmic welfare.  The Divine Mother too  had come to reside in Pondicherry with him due to a divine inspiration of God.   Socrates always maintained that a Dayman dwelt in his psyche and inspired him to  carry out various tasks.  He always gave credit to the Dayman for all the tasks  carried out by him.

The  great Theosophist C.W. Leadbeater always researched into the movements of the  invisible world.  He said that ancestral souls protected innocent children and  pious souls and bestows many beneficial blessings on them.  Once there was a  great inferno in a room.  Hence the room got totally burnt.  But one particular  child continually slept in it and yet was saved.  A divine power kept protecting  him and thus the fire could not burn the child.  In 1959 a well known journalist  and writer called Bernard Hutton wrote about a particular incident in his book  called “Holding Hands”.  He had lost his eyesight and the doctors could not help  him.  Hutton had heard that Dr. Lang’s departing soul making Mr. Chapman a  medium performed eye operations and thus many blind people had regained their  eyesight.  So Hutton went there.  Dr. Lang by entering the psyche of Chapman  operated Hutton and thus Hutton regained his eyesight.

The  above description shows us that a spiritual aspirant of internal Yoga makes his  soul so light, clean and penetrative that he easily enters the invisible world.   Despite having a gross body a master of internal Yoga can keep in touch with the  invisible world via his subtle and casual bodies.  As per their needs they  contact divine powers.  They make this contact very deep and easily imbibe those  divine blessings.  The first leg of Yoga practise is purification of the soul.   As a result very easily such a person gets the blessings of Sidhas which further  helps him to uplift himself and work for cosmic welfare.  When water becomes  steam it can move freely in the atmosphere.  Later it can condense as clouds and  pour down as rain in any area of earth.  Similarly Yogis never stray away from  God.  They walk in the footsteps of great saints who have experienced Yoga  (union with God).  Thus it is not that they themselves only become self  fulfilled but that they can bestow this extraordinary experience to others too.   The fruits of Kundalini awakening has its basis in this.  Instead of divine  powers (Ridhi-Sidhi) just activating our idle curiousity it should inspire us to  fulfil the supreme goal of human life.

THE STUPENDOUS DIVINE SPORTING DUO OF SHIVA AND SHAKTI

12 Jul

‘I CANNOT  MANIFEST WITHOUT SHIVA AND SHIVA CANNOT MANIFEST WITHOUT ME’

The above divine  speech was uttered by HH Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharmaji (Shakti incarnate) with  reference to her Lord Shiva incarnate Yuga Rishi Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya.   Theirs is a divinely sporting duo of Shiva-Shakti. Shiva and Shakti are  inseparably one. Their relationship eternally is unbroken and ceaseless. This  Lila or divine sport of theirs is eternal and nonstop. Right since world  creation it is that one supreme divine consciousness that is divine sporting as  Shiva and Shakti. The manifest form of this supreme divine consciousness is  called Shakti and its un-manifest form is Lord Shiva. While fully endorsing this  divine truth the scriptures say:

Umarudratmikaha  sarvaha prajaha sthavar jangamaha.

Vyaktam  sarvamumarupamavyaktam tu maheshwaraha.

MEANING: This  entire world creation of animate/inanimate etc creatures is but the form of  Goddess Uma and Lord Rudra. In it the manifest form of this supreme divine  consciousness is called Goddess Uma and its un-manifest form is Lord Maheshwara.

The Shrutis also  say that whatever is seen, heard, remembered in this world is nothing but  Shiva-Shakti. Rudra is male and Uma is female. Rudra is Brahma and Uma is  Saraswati. Rudra is Vishnu and Uma is Lakshmi. Rudra is sun and Uma is shadow.  Rudra is Soma and Uma is Tara. Rudra is day and Uma is night. Rudra is Yajna and  Uma is Vedi. Rudra is Vahni and Uma is Swaha. Rudra is Vedas and Uma is  Shastras. Rudra is tree and Uma is creeper. Rudra is fragrance and Uma is  flower. Rudra is meaning and Uma is alphabet. Rudra is Linga and Uma is Peetha.  Those who harbor such sacred sentiments can bow down everywhere. It is such  people who realize the mysterious Lila or Divine Sport of Shiva-Shakti.

A Mantra Drishta  Seer Rishi of a very ancient Vedic era was asked: Which deity should we worship  and eulogize (Kasmai devaya havisha vidhema)? In 10 Richas or Vedic verses they  gave the following answer. Within these 2 are very appealing:

Hiranyagarbhaha  samavartatagne, bhutasya jataha patirek aseeta.

Sa dadhar  prithivimut dyam, kasmai devaya havisha vidhema.

Ya atmada balada  yasya vishva, upasate prashisham yasya devaha.

Yasyacchayamritam yasya mrityuhu, kasmai devaya havisha vidhema.

MEANING:  Preliminarily Lord Hiranyagarbha Shiva incarnated who was the lord and ancestor  of all beings. Later with his Divine Power he created earth and space. Thus we  must worship and eulogize him only. We must worship and eulogize only him who  bestows all our activities life force and energy, from whose austerities emerges  newness akin to flames from fire, that sanctifies all creatures, whose commands  are followed respectfully by all living beings and whose shadow is death and  immortality.

The birth of Yug  Nirman Mission is very much like the mystery of world creation. Our Revered  Gurudeva Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya in the form of an eternal representative  of Lord Mahakal (Cosmic Divine Time) appeared in this world and immersed himself  in ceaseless difficult spiritual austerities. After this in the form of his  eternal Divine Energy HH Mata Bhagwati Deviji Sharma incarnated as an Avatar. It  is HH Mataji who managed this mission deftly. Via the power of penance of  Revered Gurudeva Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya many activities of the mission  took birth. HH Mata Bhagwati Deviji Sharma continued to optimally manage and  oversee all of these activities and amplified them. Revered Gurudeva Pundit  Shriram Sharma Acharya divine power of grace executes the humungous task of  sanctifying all of us both within and without. It is his divine commands that  are the root of all tasks we perform and if anyone amongst us all question great  Rishis using the ancient language of Sanskrit viz. ‘kasmai devaya havisha  vidhema’ definitely the answer shall be: ‘tasmai devaya havisha vidhema’ i.e.  pointing towards Revered Gurudeva Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya.

This divine duo  of Shiva-Shakti can be seen clearly in the birth, life and activities of the Yug  Nirman Mission. With reference to Shiva-Shakti, Gurudeva and HH Mataji who is  senior and who is junior? This question shall arise only when both are separate.  Since both are one single divine soul principle where can such a question arise  with reference to seniority? Of course! It is true that where on the one hand  Revered Gurudeva Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya’s austerity based divine aura  pulls us all magnetically towards it, there HH Mata Bhagwati Deviji Sharma’s  divine affection satiates the very core of our bosom. We may not understand the  unsolved puzzle of the mysterious life of Revered Gurudeva and HH Mata Bhagwati  Deviji yet it is definite that lest HH Mataji were not in our midst our Yug  Nirman Mission would not have become so widespread as is witnessed today. It  means that if Shakti was absent maybe Shiva could not have spread his divine  mission the world over.

Right since  primordial times this truth has been accepted wholeheartedly. In his great  literary masterpiece ‘Soundarya Lahiri’ Adi Guru Shankarcharyaji says:

Shivaha shaktya  yukto yadi bhavati shaktaha prabhavitum.

Na chedevam devo  naha khalu kushalaha sPunditumapi.

MEANING: Without  Shakti, Shiva cannot manifest his true inner form because without Shakti it is  impossible to create-propagate-annihilate this world. In fact without Shakti,  Shiva is totally immobile and vibration less.

Devoted devotees  in this energizing principle and in its entire activity based movements has said  that the cause is but divine grace. Its existence itself oozes with grace and  blessings. In its anger too grace lies hidden. It is hence that in the Devi  Mahatmya it is said:

Chitte kripa  samaranishthurta cha drishtva.

In fact  scriptural scholars to this extent have said that: O Divine Mother! Lord Shiva  resides in the hearts of all creatures and you dwell in his heart. But you dwell  in the heart also as compassion personified and hence we seek your divine  shelter.

This quote by  scriptural scholars proves true for HH Mata Bhagwati Deviji 100%. Those who have  attained her close proximity, know well that in her wrath too compassion oozed  albeit subtly. If Revered Gurudeva Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya’s inner  personality the shining radiated gloriously like sun then HH Mata Bhagwati  Deviji’s inner personality bloomed serenely like the cool, calm full moon. It  was this praiseworthy inner personality of HH Mata Bhagwati Deviji that she  could transform Revered Gurudeva’s radiant glorious nature into affectionate  calmness for her children-devotees. Today although Shiva-Shakti that had  incarnated as Revered Gurudeva Pundit Shriram Sharma Acharya’s and HH Mata  Bhagwati Deviji for executing their world divine sports has merged into the  divine cosmic principle called Almighty God (after shedding their mortal coil)  yet in the form of deep faith and intense Prajna (Divine Intellect) placed as  symbols in Shantikunj (HQ ALL WORLD GAYATRI FAMILY-HARIDWAR-INDIA) their subtle  existence and vibrations of divine energy even today are clearly perceived by  loving devotees imbued with deep faith).

SUPER MANTRA GAYATRI CHANTING IS A MIND BOGGLING MIRACLE OF SOUND ENERGY

10 Jul

The true meaning of the word Mantra has been given as follows:

Mananat trananachyaiva madrupasyavabodhanat.

Mantra ityuchyate samyak madadhishthanat priye.

……………..Rudrayamal Scripture

MEANING: Mantra is that which when deeply cogitated over helps us understand the  true nature of this world that liberates us from the bondage to this sorrowful  material world and that which urges us to walk the path of true success.

Similarly the meaning of Japa has been given as follows:

Jakaro janma vicchedaha pakaraha papa nashakaha.

Tasmajjaya iti prokto janma papa vinashakaha.

……………..Yama

MEANING: The meaning of ‘Ja’ is stopping of birth and ‘Pa’ means destruction of  sins. Hence Japa means that which destroys our sins and stops the vicious cycle  of repeated birth and death.

In the above 2 verses if we focus our attention on the meaning of Mantra Japa it  becomes clear that the fruits of chanting Mantras is that the devotee gets clear  wisdom of the nature of this world. The devotee clearly now realizes that the  cause of dragging the soul that is supremely radiant, oozing with divine  greatness and glory and that is imperishable, into the present demeaned  downfallen condition are sins gathered from innumerable lifetimes. But ceaseless  Mantra chanting by sanctifying these sins renders the inner soul personality so  sacredly pure and brilliant as a result of which the devotee instead of get  ensnared in the net of vicious cycle of repeated birth and death attains the  eternal bliss of immortality.

If we ponder with an ordinary viewpoint it seems that behind the meaning of  Mantra and Japa detailed above only a psychological direction has been hinted  at. Yet if we dive deep into the science of ‘Gati’ and ‘Shabda’ it becomes clear  that when from any particular standpoint energy is imagined in reality it is the  manifestation of nourishing energy due to Japa. Lest we get information  regarding all round holistic utility of this energy then in actuality the  devotee can attain those types of miracles that is not possible for all and  sundry to attain under just about any situation.

Those who are adept regarding the science of dynamo know that it is only because  of ceaseless rotation of the motor that electrical power is generated. Lest this  rotation of the motor in the dynamo comes to a halt that very moment electrical  power generation stops. Every planet, galaxy etc of this gigantic infinite  cosmos hangs in space. It is quite dumbfounding that even if a small pile of mud  is thrown on earth it just does not hang in the sky yet such humungous sized  galaxies hang in the sky above. For lay people this fact may be astounding yet  for science students it becomes a topic of deep research and not that of  wonderment. It is only on the basis of deep curiosity or Jijnasa that scientists  have understood that due to a very swift rotational movement a type of  force/energy emerges and it is called Centrifugal Force. It is this force that  ties galaxies, planets etc to their well demarcated path and axis. There is a  mythological tale wherein once a demon called Hiranyaksha unearthed this deep  mystery. If at the point where this energy gets centered comes under ones  control then galaxies can be transported to even very far off regions. Thus on  imbibing this knowledge demon Hiranyaksha robbed entire planet earth. Is this  tale true? This is definitely another topic of discussion yet this demon had  definitely understood the deep import of the energy emitted by its rotational  movement. Lest this was not true this world could not function even for 1 day.

Not only this energy of mobility but that from this swift rotation a type of  sound echoes forth too called ‘roar’. This echo is different in each and every  planet-galaxy and its combined cosmic sound comes into being. Scientists infer  that it is via this combined cosmic sound that the rhythmic nature and control  of a major portion of the world’s consciousness is due to it. Lest this energy  was absent everywhere would rein lifelessness, eerie void and dark gloom.

In every rotational movement dwells this type of nourishing power and echo  generation. A giant wheel in a fair that swings children sitting in it in an  ordinary state moves in a circular periphery of about 20-25 feet. Yet in  comparison to the fear harbored of children falling down from this swinging  giant wheel, children experience a kind of tickling the joy. It is but the  miracle of this Centrifugal Force that after filling water in a small metal pot  tied to a rope the pot is rotated in a circular movement, then despite the open  mouth of the pot facing down towards the ground, water does not spill out of it.  Farmers in villages in order to shoo away birds eating their crop use a sling in  which is placed a pebble. Thus when this sling is rotated faster than ordinary  speed so as to release the pebble placed in it, this pebble gets imbued with a  much greater capacity to target these birds. Recently in New Delhi-India a  terrible cyclone erupted which created havoc like terror everywhere. This was  nothing but the fact that wind there had started moving rotationally with  terrifying frenzied speed. The relation of Mantra Japa or chanting in a certain  manner too is conjoined to this swift rotational movement.  As a result such a  circle or Chakravyuh emerges from the well woven words of Mantras that by moving  speedily in a well defined circular path returns to the Mantra chanting devotee.  While returning it is accompanied by such a powerful army of thoughts and sacred  sentiments present in Mantras that can be termed inspiration of Mantra’s deity,  invisible divine help or miracle of Mantra Power. Yet what happens is that  slowly but surely this energy starts controlling the life of the Mantra chanting  devotee. In tandem with the inner personality the more the devotee’s faith,  inner sanctity and sacredness increases this effect is that much clearer. In a  few days itself, Mantra Japa or chanting, results in this energy merging with  the consciousness of the devotee. Hence the devotee gets dreams of future events  that are yet to take place, invisible help etc. The more this state becomes  profound results are that much clearer and it bestows both eternal bliss and  zest.

Super Mantra Gayatri possesses one more specialty wherein a prayer is made via  it to Almighty God for giving the devotee the boon of a sacred brilliant  intellect, wisdom and divine aura. This special quality manifests from the  special ‘circle’ created due to the resounding echo emitted by 24 important  regions of the 24 alphabets of Super Mantra Gayatri. In this manner a 2 fold  reaction immediately manifests in the Mantra chanting devotee. It means that the  devotee accrues benefits of Mantras aiding in the unveiling of the mysteries of  this cosmos, Mantra Japa destroying our sins and liberation from the painful  vicious cycle of birth and death. Along with this the devotee attains worldly  wealth/prosperity, power and various means in such a manner that neither does  the devotee stray in the world and neither does he get inwardly attached to  material grandeur. Since this type of benefit cannot be accrued by any other  Mantra, Super Mantra Gayatri has been given a prime spot in Indian Culture.

At the beginning of this literature while giving the true meaning of Mantra it  was said that Mantra is that which aids in unearthing the true nature of this  world. The cyclone of sound energy emerging from regular Japa or chanting of  Super Mantra Gayatri circumambulates this infinite humungous cosmos. In this  journey those waves or vibrations that run ahead they ooze with the sacred  sentiment of ‘Dhiyaha’ element (sharp pious intellect) in the form of a  prayerful request to Almighty God. When this sound energy after circumambulating  the ellipsoid of this cosmos returns, those thoughts, inspirations etc roaming  in space of very high sacred stature harbored by previous successful people  along with Mantra chanting, accompanied by magnetically attracted sacred  sentiment waves return and enter the devotee’s brain. In a Gayatri devotee quite  suddenly sometimes such thoughts emerge in the mind that aids him in overcoming  a dangerous situation and inspiring him to succeed in it. The devotee himself  does not understand from where this great inspiring thought has come from yet  this very science of sound and Mantras is its cause. As a result the Gayatri  devotee gets extraordinary prophetic dreams, rare sounds are heard, hair  standing on end (Romanch) and Darshan or vision of divine radiant light. In this  process less the mental state of the devotee is such that his inner and outer  effort never weakens while uprooting mental taints with a powerful resolve and  egging the psyche to march ahead on the path of great sacred tasks, then in a  very short time span the devotee starts experiencing the miraculous benefits of  Super Power Gayatri meditation and worship based spiritual practices.

The influence of sacred sensitive sentiments blooming in Mantra chanting attains  the capability of unveiling such hidden mysteries of this humungous infinite  cosmos that is beyond the ken of the imagination of a lay mundane brain. Lest  this was the case the highly educated class also would have got filled with  those types of spiritual experiences. Yet what is noted is that the so called  thinking and highly educated class the world over are unable to cut asunder the  bondage of this sorrowful material world. But those Gayatri devotees entangled  in this world of Maya or spiritual darkness are capable of manifesting high  stature soul energy despite being either illiterate or not highly educated.

Despite Mantras brimming with so much energy we must not forget its scientific  foundation. Science means inclusion of mathematics and calculation of principles  or theories. It can be called a well defined lawfulness also. In it along with  the devotee’s inner purity it is required that he daily does Gayatri Japa at an  appointed time. Along with chanting at an appointed time Japa chanting must be  done with proper Swaras or tone. No doubt some results do accrue despite  chanting Mantras waywardly i.e. either fast, slowly, with lethargy and sometimes  with alertness yet these results shall be hazy and complex. The reason why we  are advised to chant Mantras using a rosary/Mala that while chanting the time  space or interval between 2 Mantras must be same and not uneven. Ordinarily in 1  hour 10-11 rosaries can be completed of Mantra chanting. Hence a watch also can  help us in rendering our chanting well regulated and disciplined. Yet to attain  cent percent benefits of Gayatri Japa every day we must chant it at a particular  time demarcated for it, at one clean sacred spot and do this regularly. If due  to some unforeseen reason the place demarcated to chant Mantras has to be  changed then as much as is possible at least chant these at the particular time  demarcated for it.

Via methodical Mantra Japa chanting the experiences and thinking of the devotee  becomes so widespread that the world’s true nature can be clearly grasped.  Material benefits are such akin to when leaving for pilgrimage even if some  required material is bought in some city its importance remains ordinary. Maybe  we get pleased yet the root benefit definitely is of the soul getting  transformed into divine cosmic consciousness. Those who attain this benefit in  reality become a Jivanmukta or liberated while yet alive. Truly such a person’s  life attains glorious self fulfillment.
