THIS LIFE’S SEQUENCE CONJOINED TO MIRACLES AND ITS MYSTERIOUS IMPORT

(MARCH 1985 AD)

 

In my daily life spanning past 60 years, extraordinary incidences akin to miracles have been noted. There are such aspects of episodes in my life guided by that divine existence (Almighty God as my Revered Gurudeva) that cannot be unveiled in front of laymen. Yet for the first time I have decided as per the divine directions given to me by my Revered Gurudeva to unfold those secretive aspects of my spiritual journey so that the lay public gets an apt direction of life. A few such incidences have already been read by respected readers in previous pages of this book.

Regarding Ridhi-Sidhis or Divine Powers lay devotees and public are quite more curious and interested to gain more knowledge. Regarding myself, lay public look upon me as a Sidha Purusha or God Realized Saint. Even though I have placed arguments in front of them that oppose this belief of theirs, they yet label me as a saint performing many miracles.  In this present Vasant or spring festival I was divinely commanded by me Revered Gurudeva to place before one and all my life’s story in an open book manner. In this manner everyone shall become well versed with the great capacity of the power of spiritual austerities that give birth to miracles.

What exactly are Ridhi-Sidhis or Divine Powers? Regarding this my opinion is very clear. Not only are they endorsed by great scriptures but that when tested scientifically they come true cent percent. As per my humble opinion spiritual practices can be classified thus into 2 categories:

1)      Yoga based spiritual practices

2)      Spiritual austerities called Tapas

Amongst these Spiritual austerities called Tapas is directly visible and Yoga based spiritual practices are subtle and unseen. Spiritual austerities called Tapas predominating involve the use of our physical body and Yoga based spiritual practices mainly involve our mind and psyche. Their results are of 2 types. One is Sidhi and the other is Ridhi. Sidhis are those powers that are executed by the body and these feats are such that without attaining this power an ordinary lay person can never succeed in executing it. In ancient eras it used to rain much more than expected. Rivers, lakes etc would overflow with water and rush forward swiftly in the 4 months of the monsoon season. There were no bridges in those times across rivers. People would hence travel by boat. But when the water flow became extremely speedy with eddy currents midway using boats too had to be stopped. When a very important task had to be done that required traveling from one shore of the river to the other side men of penance would walk on this river water surface. They could even travel by air like birds fly in air. An example of a Sidhi in the epic Ramayan has been described that Angad rendered his leg so heavy in weight that none in the court of the mighty ferocious demon Ravan could even push his leg a wee bit. It remained steady rock hard and unmoving. Sursa ogress again in the epic Ramayan opened her mouth widely so as to engulf the mighty Lord Hanuman. The more Sursa widened her mouth the more Lord Hanuman increased his bodily girth and size. Finally Lord Hanuman became as tiny as a mosquito and escaped from her clutches. This also is called Sidhi.

Ridhi on the other hand is internal. It is spiritual in nature. An ordinary person can control and focus his mind to a certain extent only. But in Ridhi the will power and soul energy is infinitely more potent. Boons and curses are showered using this Ridhi Divine Power. Sidhis also help you to live in extreme cold areas, you can live without food and water for days together and you can live a very long life without being attacked by diseases. The more one’s mental energy is powerful the more he can influence others’ with this skill of his. A man of austerities with power accrued can go from one place to another without physically traveling. Parkaya Pravesh (subtly entering someone’s body and Shaktipaat (transmitting one’s spiritual energy into others) is executed via Sidhis. Boons of Ridhis can raise the stature of anyone’s personality, character etc. If anyone possesses something in untold measure it is possible only for him to give others this specialty even while keeping it in apt measure for him. It is the task of a Sidha Purusha to transform the very nature of materials, increasing its measure etc. Via Sadhana or spiritual practices all this is not impossible to attain at all.

Of how many types are these Ridhi-Sidhis? In what way can they be attained? How can it be used and applied? I came to know about all this after studying literature pertaining to Yoga, Tantras and taking guidance from masters in this field. No doubt I experienced these yet never did I apply it in a tangible manner. In reality I never felt the need to do so. That very day all my desires ended when I met my great Revered Gurudeva. After that day only one desire lurked in my mind as to when I would get directions from him for carrying out what mission and that I leave no stone unturned while religiously carrying out his divine orders.

Whenever I got a divine command from Revered Gurudeva volunteers, various means, knowledge etc to carry out the task came my way unasked. Ridhi-Sidhis too may have been required for some tasks. If I had run after them without any reason they would have been akin to a burden on a donkey’s back and would have inflated my ego in a demonic manner. In this manner my inner personality could have fallen deep down in the crater of lowliness. Hence it is best that despite knowing how to attain and make use of Ridhi-Sidhis I never felt the need to apply them in my tasks. All those tasks that were very complex and difficult ultimately did succeed and by looking upon them as Almighty God’s divine blessings no need was there for me to become egoistic on getting eulogized for all this. All that happened was for the best. For future I had no personal goal to attain and hence no need was felt by me to amass Ridhi-Sidhis or Divine Energies. Whenever anyone gets a divine command whatever is required to execute it, in whatever measure is attained well in time for the task to get fulfilled successfully. Hence why vainly run after these Ridhi-Sidhis or Divine Energies?

Ridhis are purely spiritual in nature. There is no need to exhibit them to others or give them a proof of their existence. None can see them, understand or examine them. I did attain them and akin to a dumb person eating sugar despite experiencing such Ridhi-Sidhis or Divine Energies I silently immersed myself in its divine ecstatic bliss.

Siddha Purushas get the divine boon of heaven and Moksha/salvation. I have never believed heaven to be a special place or world. Heaven for me is but a great glorious standpoint of life. Whatever actions we execute must be conjoined to greatness and sacred ideals in an inseparable manner. They definitely are of such high stature. Everywhere we can then visualize only Almighty God. It is this divine ecstatic bliss that is called heaven. I have it with me for keepsake in a ceaseless eternal manner. It never ever touches vile thinking or tainted actions. Hence how can I ever face hellish situations?

Liberation is attained from overcoming bondage to this painful vicious cycle of birth and death. Bhavasagar is nothing but our desires, yearnings, egoistic thinking and actions. Greed is called a handcuff, deluded attachment to wife, wealth etc is called a chain of iron and egoistic pride is called a noose. A creature gets bound to all this. The divine directions of Revered Gurudeva and its mode of execution takes over my mind and intellect in such a manner that there is no place for attracting the above mental foes and allow them to act tainted using my body as their medium. Others have to wait for death to attain liberation yet for me life and death are synonymous. Those reasons that make us love life and abhor death disappear to naught once we master the art of living technique via spiritual methods.

Ridhis are internal and it is limited to individual experience only. Divine experiences encompass self contentment, public honor and divine grace. This is experienced by me each moment. When lack is felt in any form it leads to dissatisfaction. Vile actions on our part create anguish within. In my case not even one of these causes dwell in me and hence there is no reason for me to become discontented. After carrying out one’s righteous duties optimally and surrendering fully to that which is supremely great none can ever face inner agitation taking birth due to dissatisfaction. I too have never faced it. Now in this ripe old age of mine, desires are warded off easily by Viveka or farsighted discrimination that is dwelling in my mind and intellect. Hence I experience no lack and no discontentment in life.

The 2^nd Ridhi is getting honor from the public in every nook and corner of the world. For this I have never had to do anything special. With a true mind and good hearted intentions I have always respected everyone and cooperated with them fully. I have given as much love and goodwill to all and sundry as much as was possible. With whomsoever I came in contact I bound them to me with the silken thread of soul oneness and equality. Its result should be as clear as the reflection seen in a mirror. It could be like an echo of any sound made. If you hit a rubber ball with force and in a particular angle it returns with that same force and in that same angle. The love and honor that I showered on others returned in same measure to me after entering their inner nature. I never looked upon anyone as my foe. Never did I think vilely about anyone and regardless of whether someone’s mind was good or vile I felt they possessed nothing but goodwill. Life is now drawing to an end. I can never name even one person whom I can call my opponent, enemy or one who aspired to harm me. Those who harmed me due to lack of proper understanding I felt they were but people who had strayed away from the true goal of human living. I felt them to be childish in their undesirable behavior. I have respected all and sundry and this respect returned to me in the form of public honor. Even if someone did not respect me I have felt they have ushered in my well being by making me self introspective so as to correct myself when the error was found in my inner personality.

The 3^rd Ridhi is divine grace and blessings. This can be attained via high stature activities and its success. Apart from this we also get a pious experience as though stars in the sky, flowers on trees, water drops pouring from rain clouds, leaves shaking due to the wind, river water waves and chatter of birds are showering their love and affection on us. We can feel flowers are raining on us as blessings. Why would demigods take pains to pluck flowers, bear the burden of flowers while carrying them and painstakingly shower them on us? In the movements of Mother Nature or Prakriti, in the chattering of various creatures and the beauty noted in plants, trees etc fills up the other world with flowers.

From within and without I perceive only zest and joy gushing forth everywhere. On noting life inside out I feel only the sweet nectarine fragrance of sandalwood is being emitted. If I turn my head towards my past life it appears grand. If I study my present day life only zest brims forth from it. If I visualize my future I feel I shall not enter God’s divine court as a criminal. I feel I shall get accolades and gifts from Almighty God akin to a student passing with top grades in school exams and an athlete beating others in a running race.

Since my soul conscience has never termed me vile why would others call me the same? Those who say anything shall be as per their own opinion. I feel like only praising myself and give myself a high spot on the ladder of a great life. Under such situations in this world and in the next one I shall only be respected as a good person. Hence say! What more success can anyone gain apart from this in life?

Those who perform soul practices gauge their success-failure based on the measure of Ridhi-Sidhis attained. For this end I did not have to make any extra efforts yet I have attained everything in manifold measure.

I attained God vision in the form of divine cosmic consciousness or Virat Brahman. In the form of world humanity I did not give up this divine vision even for a wee bit of a moment and God too never harbored such hard heartedness so as to move about without taking him with me everywhere. Whenever I conversed with him only I argument would take place. Lord Rama and his younger brother Shri Bharatji rendering the program of royal coronation a football kept arguing. Both would say to each other ‘I shall not become king and that instead you must rule the kingdom’. I too argued with Almighty God thus when he asked me: What do you want from me? Akin to the echoing sound of a dome my answer was one: O Lord! Please tell me what you wish so that by fulfilling it I can attain glorious self fulfillment.

Almighty God has always walked behind me subtly akin to a divine security guard and thus always protected me. He has walked ahead like a pilot of an aircraft all the while cleaning the road and giving me the correct direction for walking ahead in life. My minuscule body akin to that proverbial squirrel in epic Ramayan, an unswerving humble devotee of Lord Rama has surrendered it to Almighty God and executing his divine tasks in this world.

OUR REVERED GURUDEVA YUGA RISHI SHRIRAM SHARMA’S SPIRITUAL PENANCE

The inner divine personality of Revered Gurudeva, (reverently and affectionately called so) the founder of the All World Gayatri Family and one who spent his entire life akin to a Yajna for sanctifying world human psyche via the religious system, was a center of such multifaceted activities that in trying to write about his greatness is like taking a candle and trying to illumine the mighty brilliant sun in the sky. If ever it becomes possible to detail the activities of our Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya who has bestowed on us all very sensitive sentiment based spiritual philosophy via such writings akin to Yugavyas after undergoing untold penance, world scholars shall only get mind boggled as to how via merely one person such humungous world tasks could succeed emphatically. His life span of 80 years via time management based discipline on expanding like a rubber band became so big or that it was the Sidhi or success of his Super Energy Gayatri spiritual austerities, that if anyone wishes to research into it shall take him so many years. 

It is well nigh a virtually impossible task to gather together at one place Revered Gurudeva’s entire life’s program, all literature penned by him, experiences related to him, letters written by him, aphorisms penned by him and his sacred nectarine speech. Lest from certain angles this effort has reaped a bit of success at the root of it is but his divine blessings because the efforts of all of us pale in front of his grace. If regarding that Avatar and divine personality who lived 5 lives at one go, more than 100 research papers are written detailing his inner personality and great mind boggling feats, know that they shall be only miniscule in measure. It is only the future that shall tell us that one super divine saint who from his birth in 1911 AD to his great divine departure in the year 1990 AD created a new world, how he succeeded in fulfilling a seemingly impossible task in the form of a Virat Purusha or Cosmic Divine Personality and an Avatar of Almighty God. Hence after reading this or any other part of his Vangmaya none should believe that he has fully understood or Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya. A huge ice boulder separating from a glacier swims about in the ocean. Its upper portion appears as an iceberg but within it is so heavy and deep that a superficial glance can never gauge it. Many small sized ships thinking it to be a small ice rock bangs into it, get overturned, it becomes a bit clear as to with what it has combated? The divine personality of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya too must be looked upon as the above humungous iceberg. Hence people shall get to know only the small visible upper portion of his life via his life sketch given in this Vangmaya or nectarine literature penned by Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya himself. A major portion of his divine personality is such that is unknown and invisible. In fact forget 70 but even if it is written in 108 volumes it is not possible to describe it fully. It is quite possible that in future days to come when in the year 2011 AD his Birth Centenary shall be celebrated all this subtle inner aspects shall become clearly visible.

THE INNER ANGUISH OF REVERED GURUDEVA AND ENTERING HIS DIVINE SUBTLE BODY:

When we set off on a long journey the number of co travelers is big but by the time we reach our destination the number dwindles to the number of our fingers. Should this be called failure? Is it our ill fate? Is it destiny’s mockery? Should we blame that clay via which although the huge line of co travelers was set up but since it was so unruly that its designing strayed apart while walking ahead only a few steps and after getting deluded in the mad rush towards a mirage for appeasing one’s thirst it veered far away in a disillusioned manner.

This lowliness is such that it has become an obstruction when the role of a leader is enacted. Is this mental delusion that renders the powerful quite helpless, one to tie us painfully to this material world? Is it our vile psychic imprint? Is it our ill fate or a net woven by a spider? It is not being understood clearly. These times are meant for enterprise and powerful efforts it is for valor and daring. In these dire times why is the Gandiva bow slipping from the hands of otherwise valiant Arjuna’s of the world? Is sacred idealism some entertainment like reading novels that no opportunity comes our way to test its aptness? Our Prajna Family must not be compared as equals to other organizations, campaigns and institutions. It is a family like organization dripping with great inner qualities with leading talented personalities for harbingering in Era Neo Creation. They must think only about one thing that as an answer to the challenge of contemporary times for pulling up awakened soul personalities, are they ready to gird up their loins or scurry away like a frightened rat?

The number of co travelers is big. The road is quite lengthy. Midway seeing my fellowmen stray away evokes pain in my heart. By the time we reach our destination we can count the number of people by our side equaling the number of our fingers. In these days such a doubt lurking in my mind is palpitating heartbeats in a fearful way and my head is becoming dizzy.

The above inner agony of a spiritual seeker surrendered to an anguished human race was published in the ‘Akhand Jyoti Magazine’ (April 1982 AD) under the title ‘Apno se apni baat’. This is a plea to every member of our worldwide family wherein by imbibing high stature sacred ideals in day to day living they must play the role of great visionary leaders. This is because potentially great souls are becoming more and more indolent towards performing righteous duties that can uplift world human society to great heights of glory. Our Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya had burnt every drop of the oil of his divine soul in order to uplift human society and hence the above words gushing forth in anguish are but natural. He is pained ere such great awakened souls give up helping in this stupendous mission of Era Transformation and world neo creation.

The above sacredly sensitive speech of his rattled the souls of every member of every member of our worldwide family and forced them to think deeply as to why they have conjoined to this super divine existence? Is it merely to satiate their selfish interests? Is it for their lowly selfish aspirations or that some form of helplessness pulled them here rendering them demeaned and weak minded? If this is not true why is it that the great activities of a divine deep thinker of this era and founder of this worldwide mission is not being imbibed by its members in day to day transactions of life? Along with this divine exhortation Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya also gave the invitation of ‘cream must swim towards the upper region of milk’. It was that hour when after completing his travel for opening so many Shaktipithas he was returning with a mind full of anguish. He was deeply searching for people from this worldwide family set up by him who akin to great visionaries were ready to walk against the commonplace trend in society. He was deeply pondering over how to jolt them awake from their indolent sleepy mental state. This thought loomed large over his mind ceaselessly. He had written many letters to his holy consort Vandaniya Mataji (HH BHAGWATI DEVI SHARMA) wherein he wrote that a big task yet remains to be fulfilled regarding unearthing human crest jewels so that if anywhere in huge measure of even a small part of Prana Energy exists it can emerge up akin to cream coming up when milk is boiled properly. In this manner this cream (human crest jewels) shall swim on milk (world human society).

The above incident has been published purposely so that every member of our worldwide family is forced to self introspect deeply and understand as to what was the root aim of this editorial? Was Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya in despair regarding what was attained thus far or was he giving a final warning to members to be prepared for a fiery test? If we take a close look at the May 1982 AD issue of ‘Akhand Jyoti Magazine’ that was published 1 month after the above one the facts become clear. In the present issue it becomes clear as to why Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya who imbued everyone with so much life force suddenly became dazed. Why did he become silent when just previously he had given such great nectarine speeches in Shantikunj Camp? If someone has any doubt he must understand his new responsibilities. In it in order to perform his duty in a new way during very crucial perilous times Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya had to act akin to the example of a mother roasting bread on a hot pan above fire, leaving it even though it has started burning so as to stop her child from trying to catch hold of a scorpion.

In reality the increased measure of agitation in the environment and a search for 1000 powerful sacred personalities for Era Neo Creation was rendering him agonized and restless. Thousands of people who had conjoined to him and members who were with him were being ‘churned’ by Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya for unearthing the rich butter layer on top. For this there was a need to heat them but this was not happening because he had to keep traveling for various programs and also give sacred discourses at Shantikunj (HQ of All World Gayatri Family) time and again. No doubt a divine world family had been created, members were called for various camps but as of now he felt a strong need to carry out lone Tapas and spiritual austerities since it could create a terrific cyclone in the atmosphere. This in turn would awaken those who were sleeping at the soul level and hence sacred ideals could be showcased by them in day to day living. It is from here that commences Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya’s lone Tapas and spiritual austerities. Later after 1 year passed, by it took the form of Sookshmikaran Sadhana (rendering the psyche divinely subtle). The preliminary rebuke given to us all by him too manifested from his great Rishi thinking and while speaking to members in a divinely affectionate manner asked them to change their mode of thinking and action. This too was the immortal thinking of this great philosopher and deep thinker. Why was this procedure changed? When a heavy responsibility like Era Neo Creation has to be shouldered by him, being Lord Mahakal incarnate he takes up both methods: One is that of persuasion, cajoling etc in a divinely loving manner and if we do not pay heed to it he takes up harsh methods of rebukes, punishments etc in order that awakened souls that are part manifestations of divinity do not stray away from the mission’s goal by flowing away in the stream of materialism, by getting trapped in the net of cheap name-fame and hoarding wealth, such a type of harsh rebuke has always been required since time immemorial. Such rebukes have been given by Lord Shri Krishna to Arjun, Lord Rama to Hanuman and Sugriva and Lord Buddha verbally lashing out at Ananda. When this divine manifestation or Avatar saw this desired reaction manifesting he disengaged himself from public contact and took the important decision of creating 5 Virbhadras (divine subtle bodies), awakening the 5 Koshas or Sheaths and awakening the Kundalini of the world. This then would be the final Sadhana or penance of his life in this mortal frame.

Regarding this rebuke of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya and his decision not to meet anyone personally and that he would just keep the door of his room open for Darshan from far, at a local level an upsurge of activity manifested, all tasks and endeavors took place with swift zest and so many highly intellectual, talented and sacred minded people started joining his mission. After rebukes given by him as mentioned in the article of the magazine he gave many important directions as follows:

1)      In June 1982 AD he wrote about family neo creation so as to increase great glorious activities

2)      In October and November 1982 AD he wrote in order to invite this era’s great thinkers to work for Era Neo Creation

3)      He invited great intellectuals and brilliantly talented people for shouldering the Prajna Movement

4)      He also gave details of Kalpa Sadhana, Prajna Yoga and divine boons to be attained via practicing them

During that year all camps meant for spiritual practice were special in nature. In these seekers were made to execute Kayakalpa (bodily transformation) and transformation of spiritual sentiments. He put emphasis on sanctification of the soul. The mission was categorized thus:

1)      Research

2)      Teaching and training

3)      Public Relations

4)      Art

5)      Women’s Wing

6)      Youth Wing

7)      Religious Parliament

He then invited active people conjoined to various realms to take part in the Prajna Movement.

On the day of Vasant Parva via his writings an important direction in 1983 was given for congregating Swadhyaya Groups. In a certain sense this was an establishment akin to mobile temples and mobile Prajnapithas and Shaktipithas. Via these this era’s stupendous literature was to be taken to all lay public. By and by 24,000 Swadhyaya Groups were created and in their areas they started working actively. In an important editorial of ‘Akhand Jyoti Magazine’ (April 1983 AD) he had written: Prajna Family is being searched minutely from this standpoint that under the blanket some human crest jewel could be found hiding. If we can lay our hands on them our task can succeed that much more. For the entire year he gave up public contact kept jolting the mission members to donate more and more of their time. The Prajna Purashcharana too was rendered speedier in that very year.

From the year 1984 AD spring festival instead of giving Darshan of his gross body to people akin to babies climbing up on their father’s lap demanding frivolous toys he decided to subtly hand over divine gifts of soul power to seekers with powerful sacred personalities. This was a pre planned program of his to enter his subtle body from his gross visible one (Sookshmikaran Sadhana-rendering the psyche divinely subtle). It was methodically commenced in Chaitra Navratri in 1984 AD. In the ‘Akhand Jyoti Magazine’ (May 1984 AD) he had written: In order to design a farsighted plan lone living and one pointed deep mental reflection are mandatory. It should not be called asceticism or weakness but instead be termed deafening silence that marches ahead before a storm. The Sadhana of that time period was called Chaya Purusha by him wherein via 5 subtle bodies he desired to carry out various tasks of the subtle world. In this editorial his holy consort Vandaniya Mataji (HH BHAGWATI DEVI SHARMA) wrote: Let us all experience that Gurudeva has neither become tired nor is he taking recourse to escapism. Instead by imbibing Sookshmikaran Sadhana or rendering the psyche divinely subtle he is augmenting his present inner divine potential in a manifold manner. This consolation was for those who were a bit upset that henceforth they could not have a face to face meeting with Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya.

The ‘Akhand Jyoti Magazine’ (June 1984 AD) was published as a special issue wherein he described the philosophical form of Sookshmikaran Sadhana or rendering the psyche divinely subtle and its deep import since they were the foundation of his sacred life’s journey. By 8^th June (Gayatri Jayanti) this issue reached all those readers who were a bit upset that henceforth they could not have a face to face meeting with Revered Gurudeva since he was to suddenly leave them all. The July issue too continued with the above message. In it a clarification was given as to why exactly he was executing this Sookshmikaran Sadhana or rendering the psyche divinely subtle. He wrote: When a person of the stature of a spiritual seeker enters a special inner state he can make 5 subtle bodies of his carry out 5 fold more tasks. Amongst these 5 one was rendered more secure and was chosen so that it could wipe away the tears of weak, sorrowful, anguished people visiting me. It would lovingly massage their scalps and for assuaging their pain it would make them sit in its lap to affectionately caress them. The remaining bodies shall carry out tasks of awakening great souls to work for world neo creation and fulfill the task of overcoming fearful world situations.

The above mentioned thinking tells us that during the period of Sookshmikaran Sadhana or rendering the psyche divinely subtle he was weaving the future of the entire world. By limiting the activities of his gross physical body in order to become much more active in a subtle and widespread arena he was backing away so as to prepare his holy consort Vandaniya Mataji (HH BHAGWATI DEVI SHARMA) to play out his role especially once he shed his mortal coil. This well planned decision is possible only for that existence having incarnated on earth with a special divine mission. It had lived a life of total self surrender, it had executed 100 fold more tasks than any normal gross body can perform and after promising to guide all those walking on the path of sacred ideals as per his instructions had thus laid the foundation of Era Neo Creation. The Avatar form and nature of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya no doubt has manifested in various activities of his but it also can be glimpsed in various forms when time and again he has given divine utterances.

He writes that: I have been told to render my tasks multifaceted and augmented in a manifold way. For this end one method is to give up the gross body totally and whatever remains to be done must be carried out via one or many subtle bodies. Whenever my divine guide feels it apt it shall not take even a moment for my gross body to dissolve into dust. After this (post death) I shall become capable of carrying out many more tasks via my subtle and causal bodies. After making this speech Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya left for his Sookshmikaran Sadhana or rendering the psyche divinely subtle.

MANIFESTO OF THE YUG NIRMAN MISSION-RESOLVING TO NEO CREATE THIS ERA

We all by looking upon Almighty God as all pervasive and full of justice shall  imbibe discipline in our lives as per his desire-these were the first sentences  of that official Sankalpa or resolve and manifesto which can be called the  preliminary proclamation of Yug Nirman Mission. For the first time revered  Gurudeva while writing this resolve in Akhand Jyoti Magazine (March 1962) had  asked all of us to read this by congregating regularly early in the morning and  on auspicious occasions. While talking to all volunteers, all branches and  members who were running the Jnana Temples in the September 1962 volume he  writes that this is that seed of thought on the basis of which the possibilities  of Era Creation shall be defined.

Only a thinker of revolutionary stature can talk of Era Transformation. Only he  can think on the lines that this society rotting in vain beliefs can transform  only when each world individual transforms himself/herself truly. Everyone talks  of changing external situations by changing our mental outlook, via the power to  think by awakening great stature Sankalpas or resolves in our psyche, if a  person transforms himself the entire society shall definitely change positively.  This can be thought of only by a philosopher and a deep thinker of Psychology  Sciences. A seemingly impossible task like Era Transformation can only be given  a socially active form when its one unit that is society and a unit of it that  is the family along with the inner individual gets sanctified in an all round  manner. When man transforms that era too transforms. As soon as transformation  is noted in our viewpoint the atmosphere too changes. ‘When each individual of  the world is neo created, Era Neo Creation shall definitely be witnessed’-this  can be uttered only by a person of Avatar stature who can see the future and the  process of transformation of the present which is woven along with the subtle  invisible world.

Anyone can say that Era Creation, Era Transformation are big sized words, that  they are flowery to talk about and how is all this possible when we are engulfed  by disparity, separateness and deluded beliefs from all sides? Isn’t it a mere  Utopia for a person to talk not about just changing society but to transform an  entire era? Yet at the root of all this that truthful daring, fiery will power  and desire power should be made note of which is of the stature of the resolve  of the divine creator (Ekoham bahusyama) and in the form of  ‘Dharmasansthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge’ which in turn is a promise given  to world humanity by Almighty God. This is the powerful resolve of a great  person and its result is that within the group full of disparity that talk of  transformation within it and the fact that all great world thinkers are putting  forth their observations regarding it has in its root individual neo creation.

Revered Gurudeva writes that: That Avatar required for Era Transformation shall  initially incarnate as a divine desire. The subtle form of this Avatar is the  resolve of Yug Nirman. This quote is that of a sacred hearted great person who  for his entire life heated himself in the fire of austerities akin to burning  gold ore so as to become 24 carat gold. It is his thoughts today that are  designing all transformations in the subtle world. It certainly shall not be  considered an overstatement if it is said that in the form of a true resolve of  the taintless Prajna Avatar himself that this proclamation manifested and can  ever the resolve of God go unheeded?

In this true resolve Gurudeva gave 1^st spot to theism which not only  aids humans to walk a wholesome path but that it induces them to observe divine  discipline. Theism that does not render a person an escapist but makes him a  Karma Yogi and one imbued with a sense of performing righteous duties. True  surrender to God is always of an active one. By teaching us this precept he says  that whenever theism fructifies in our life he/she will give utmost importance  to performing righteous duties. Our duty to our body means looking upon it as  God’s temple and via self control and regularity, render it healthy, disease  free and strong. It is as important to render our minds clean, taintless and  sinless as we keep our body healthy. If mental health is good our life force too  shall be potent and thus mental distortions and vile feelings shall no longer  harass us and all worries, diseases shall run far away from us. Mental  reflection, self study and association with great saints is that medicine which  by obstructing our minds from straying afar gives it a suitable direction and  always inspires us with soul creation and soul progress. Imbibing all 4 forms of  self control too takes us in that direction. This is the 1^st lesson  of the true resolve and in reality is its core deep import. If someone imbibes  even this much in life not only will he/she transform but shall transform others  too.

Further he writes that as long as the attitude of collectiveness (congregations)  does not evolve, each one instead of one’s own benefit does not seek others’  benefit, till then all around us will rein narrow minded selfishness. The root  Mantra of spiritual communism is this regarding which revered Gurudeva writes:  In everyone else’s welfare lies our own welfare. This then is the foundation of  unity, equality and social justice. We must think not of ‘I’ but of everybody  and undesirable disparity as far as Varna and gender is concerned must end  totally. Today when everywhere royal kingdoms and colonialism has been razed to  the ground and that a lot of opposition is there towards Varna differences, we  can easily realize how contemporarily apt were these utterances of his.

Further in this true resolve regarding imbibing a few qualities in life so as to  inspire us all to reform our souls he says by making us take a vow: True wealth  is that which render an animal man into a divine man. If such enumerated  qualities are imbibed fully in life man shall definitely become a superman. True  spirituality can be found only in spiritual practice, self study, self control  and selfless service to the world.

In reality every alphabet of this true resolve is a seed of revolution. If even  one of these is imbibed in daily living, not only will that person attain soul  progress himself/herself but that the doors of material progress will be thrown  wide open. Not only do such individuals themselves transform but those around  them too transform desirably.

Revered Gurudeva born as a symbol of Prajna Avatar as an epilogue to Buddha  Avatar writes further: In comparison to success attained via unethical means  failure faced on the path of ethics is worth lauding. In front of lineages if  discrimination rests awakened the waves of blind following the blind like hordes  of sheep shall end. It is only when true discrimination or Viveka is ignored  that vile activities, tainted traditions and deluded beliefs rule the roost. As  soon as the eye of discrimination opens these taints gets destroyed. Today in  society world humans by walking on the ‘short cut’ path of in-ethics/crime they  out of lack of farsightedness do attain ‘success’ with glee but alas it is so  short lived that repent at leisure. If only we understand the permanent  importance of ethics man shall think it glorious to walk the path of ethics and  live a life of integrity. The test of gauging a person is his/her wholesome  thinking and great actions.

‘Atmanaha pratikulani paresham na samacharet’-this has been no doubt ready by  many yet only if they had deeply imbibed it in daily living they would be  honored everywhere. If we desire that others behave properly with us we too must  behave well with them. In this one sentence all aphorisms like those of public  contact, management skills, making others our very own, Sanjivani Science  (rendering the dead alive) and all skills pertaining to living life are embedded  that I shall not behave in a manner with others which I myself find disgusting.

The next aphorism is-‘Men and women will behave with each other sacredly’. It is  a tainted vision that aids proliferation of sexual lust and gives birth to  injustice in our minds. While giving us the chief basis of world peace Gurudeva  says that half the world population is of female gender. If we start looking at  them sacredly and respectfully our acts of oppression and atrocities against  them shall come to a grinding halt and both men and women cooperating with each  other shall create a great and healthy world society. No doubt we can live  married lives but by looking upon siring children only as a righteous duty we  must abstain from dirty lewd lustful living. We must look upon women as revered  mothers instead of labeling them as sex symbols and only then individual and  family neo creation is possible.

By giving importance to world welfare rather than selfish gains, for  proliferating great activities the world over, by inspiring us to donate one  portion of our time, talent, earnings, knowledge and effort for the same revered  Gurudeva says that this is true religion and Era Religion. A Brahmin is one who  earns with 100 hands and donates with 1000 hands. He inspires all of us to amass  such true Brahminhood in our inner personality.

Ultimately Gurudeva writes that man is the author of his fate, it is he who  designs his future. Since man is the boss of this extraordinary capacity there  should be no hesitation in proclaiming that if man becomes truly great and makes  effort to render others great too then definitely this entire era shall  transform. As per the spirituality based psychological precept ‘Tanme manaha  shivasankalpamastu’ this resolve is so great and auspicious that the era shall  definitely transform; this is because I will not be that as I am today. In  comparison to today I shall make myself greater and supreme and akin to iron  turning to gold when touched by Paras (touchstone) I shall render others great  too. If this were to happen the era shall definitely transform; because then  there shall be an overpowering majority of great people, human jewels who give  utmost importance to goodwill towards all and divine men oozing with sacred  sensitivity in world society. Efforts predominate and not destiny. This belief  is firmly embedded in that proclamation that ‘Man is the author of his fate’.  Such people via great efforts render their destiny stupendous, spread fragrance  of their greatness all around akin to sandalwood trees, are called era  transformers and by becoming the captain of a ship themselves steer many others  to shores of safety. When such people rein in society why shall the era not  transform? It shall most definitely transform.

This manifesto written by a Yuga Purusha (Shriram Sharma Acharya) is a document  by itself and a pillar of glory in the long journey of Era Neo Creation. Later  in march 1989 this was given a well developed and well researched form. In them  the main points were the same which we have discussed above. Some aspects were  added to it because based on contemporary times they were of utility value. In  it stress was laid on congregating gentlemanly people and in a new way emphasis  was laid on national unity, equality and indivisibility. Finally while  expressing his total profound faith in this resolve he writes that ‘If we change  this era will change and if we reform this era shall reform’.

When Lord Mahakal is proclaiming thus, why should we all, a portion of his  cosmic soul not pay heed to it? The sacred commencement of Era Transformation  has already occurred and New Era definitely is in the offing.

THE SPIRITUAL AUSTERITIES OF OUR GURUDEVA YUGA RISHI SHRIRAM SHARMA HAS RENDERED           HIM IMMORTAL:

ADARNIYA SHAILJIJI: Revered Gurudeva used to say that he has 3 Gurus. First is           Himalayas that calls me again and again. Its infinite height and serenity is           that touchstone (Paras) which converts the inner iron of one’s personality into           gold. It removes life’s taints and reinstates goodwill in its place. Revered           Gurudeva had achieved the pinnacle of glory akin to Himalayan heights and had           imbibed cool serenity too. Any grief stricken person who contacted Gurudeva           overcame sorrow and imbibed serenity of mind.

My 2^nd Guru is Ma Adyashakti Gayatri which filled my life with           immortal nectar. Mother Gayatri oriented austerities has rendered me immortal           and deathless.

My preceptor or my Guru is akin to a Kalpavriksha or a wish fulfilling tree.           Whatever I asked was given to me by him in a manifold way. Not only did he bless           me with guidance, various energies and Sidhis or Divine Powers but helped me in           transformation of planet earth and said: Son! I hand over this responsibility to           you.

 

GURUDEVA AIDED THE MANIFESTATION OF SPRING IN THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE:

ADARNIYA DR PRANAV PANDYA SAHEB: Spring season symbolizes transformation. As           soon as spring arrives everything appears new, nature warms up and activity           starts climbing to great peaks. Revered Gurudeva helped thousands of people           imbibe spring like activities in their lives. His writings and speeches must be           broadcasted everywhere so as to fill the lives of people with blooming spring           season.

In every act of Revered Gurudeva one finds a calculated move, science and           mysteries of spirituality. Whatever he said would actually happen. By joining           his sacred mission we lose nothing and that we will accrue nothing but benefits           galore. If you have heard the inner call know for sure your birth is meant for           carrying out some special task.

The birth centenary of our Revered Gurudeva is the century of thought           transformation. Today the world lacks human values. Man has destroyed his humane           behavior. SPARING TIME IS THE GREATEST CHARITY:

In man’s life many good fortunes manifest and for them, man always praises           himself. Such good fortunes come occasionally and never permanently. Yet the           greatest good fortune of man is one only and that is he correctly understands           time. If man correctly identifies time I feel that there exists no greater good           fortune and destiny for man. The times in which you and I are living in today is           so grand that it will never again appear either in your life or annals of world           history. For very high stature tasks especially in that time wherein God appears           as an Avatar in this world, those people who conjoin to his sacred mission           become grand themselves by playing their appointed roles. Friends! People have           their own needs. I cannot very well say that they do not have any requirements           and yet at certain times even Almighty Lord too needs people of this world. Not           always but sometimes. And those who identify this golden chance at those certain           times set forth to help Almighty God akin to the squirrel, boatman, Shabari and           monkeys/bears of the epic Ramayan and thus glorify their lives. If your mind has           the capacity to accrue great benefits and that your personality too has this           capability, if you possess valor, please do come forward and thus do not lose           this supreme golden chance. I am awakening each one of you and speaking thus.           Please step forward and join my ‘military’. I invite each one of you to conjoin           to the sacred mission of Prajna Avatar especially those people whose habits are           clean, who are hard working, full of great character and whose weight is not           heavy, meaning who do not possess a heavy burden of worldly/mundane           responsibilities. For such people the most stupendous task is that after eking           out their earnings they work for the country and world society. Now in order to           render widespread our arena of work we need your help. For this we shall have to           search for that class of people who are called the thinking class. Today we need           engineer doctors, soldiers, overseers and we require all those who can work for           neo creation of our country. It is the prime responsibility of Gayatri Family           members that in order to render the torch lit ceaselessly akin to myself they           surrender their very being for this great cause. By giving this responsibility           and prime duty to our family members I bid adieu with this hope that not only           will these members not shy away from stepping in the direction of greatness but           that they shall swiftly march ahead.

 

OUR REVERED GURUDEVA SHRIRAM SHARMA’S PROMISE:

1. 1.      You people must           fulfill one task that is always experience that you are divine in nature. You           have the garb of bears and monkeys. Some wear Kurtas, some wear Dhotis, some don           spectacles and others do something else but yet despite all this you are divine           souls and have come in this world for a special task. This point to be noted is           at number 1 spot. The 2^nd point which appears difficult for you is           how can taints be removed from the world and in its place how to increase that           which is wholesome? Regarding this I have already cited Nostradamus’ political           prophecy and now I give my own prophecy that I have already killed your enemies           and foes. I have rendered them dead and for you pious credit and good fortune           are alive. For you the crown is alive, honor is alive and kicking and hence you           must aspire for it.
2. 2.      Shri Krishna was           Arjun’s charioteer and I will drive your chariot. Chariot of what? The chariot           of your business, your industry, your profession, your body, your household-I           will ‘drive’ all these and I promise to do so. But along with this I also           request you to walk on the path laid down by myself as my companion. Shoulder           responsibilities by my side. You will accrue no loss. Believe me I have killed           those opponents and have kept the garland of victory ready for you.
3. 3.      The garlands of           victory were kept ready for the 5 Pandavas and only it had to adorn their necks.           For you too garlands are ready, only you need to wear them and thus get due           credit. If you become partners in the task of ushering in a New Era you shall           get due credit. Then Guruji, what shall happen to our wives and children? Son! I           shall take up those responsibilities. If they become ill I will ward off their           illnesses. If you incur a loss in your business I will repay the loss. I know           how to repair all losses of your business transactions. When a child grows up he           gets bigger things which a smaller child does not get. Now I do not see any           children and that all of you are youths. I will now make you work for           jobs/business and whatever excess remains with me too shall be distributed to           all of you. No Guruji! When you leave will you not take with yourself all that           you have earned? Son! I shall certainly do nothing like that. Believe me that           whatever I have earned I shall hand it over you i.e. all my good deeds, material           earnings and spirituality based earnings. You are a partner of these earnings           (Guruvar ki dharohar-Part 2, 166-169).
4. 4.      All those who           have served and helped me shall duly be paid the very last cent. I neither wish           to go to heaven nor attain salvation or Moksha. After praying to God I shall           once again enter the cycle of taking birth in the wombs of 8.4 million species           so that I can repay every cent along with interest those who have helped me in           this present birth.
5. 5.      By becoming           grass, flowers, trees, sticks, buffalo, cow, sheep etc I can help others as much           as I can and in this manner I will be able to repay fully or partially all those           who have helped me in this present birth. Is the burden of goodwill any less,           that one adds to the burden, by taking help of others? For this I will even           fight with God to make me grass, cow, buffalo etc so that time and again for           those who have affectionately poured their love on me, by forgetting my           mediocrity given me respect, honor, faith, goodwill etc I can do something and           yet I am at a loss as to how I can repay this debt. It is my deepest desire that           someone renders my heart rain clouds and fills it so much sacred water of love           that wherever I have been given even 1 drop of love there I get the golden           chance of pouring huge amounts of this rain.

1. 6.      I do not know if           it will be possible and if it is not possible may my subtle manifestation reach           all those whose goodwill in any form has come my way. May these generous hearted           people experience that their love has not been forgotten by me and instead shall           be remembered in totality.
2. 7.      I will shoulder           this weight of gratefulness till even a miniscule portion of my very existence           remains. If each day I cannot repay you let not those who love me feel that           their generosity has been forgotten out of ungratefulness. I will forever remain           grateful to those who instead of abhorring my taints have only paid heed to my           good character and with a sense of goodwill respected it.
3. 8.      I may go far           away from the gross eyes of people yet none shall go beyond the vision of my           subtle eyes. I will take with me hidden the photos of all who harbor love in           their eyes for me and possess goodwill in their bosoms and incessantly shall I           shower with devotion my tears on these divine images. I cannot say whether I           will get the opportunity to repay my debt to you all but if I do get it I will           leave no stone unturned to adorn and decorate these divine images           (Vangmaya-1/4.1 to 4.9). People may forget me but I will not forget anyone who           harbors love for me.
4. 9.      We must           understand that future times will come along with economic equality. In this           world the nature of religion, society etc could be anything yet economic           equality the world over shall manifest. In the coming days not one person in           this world will be wealthy. In the editorial  section of Akhand Jyoti Magazine (June, 1960 AD) HH Bhagwati Devi Sharmaji (holy  consort of Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya) writes that by the time this  magazine’s current volume shall reach the hands of beloved readers Revered  Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya would have already left for his  journey to reside incognito in the secret mysterious region of the Himalaya  Mountains. After celebrating the festival of Gayatri Jayanti on 4^th June 1960 AD he shall leave for fulfilling his sacred resolve and for 1 year  shall immerse himself in special Sadhana or spiritual practices.

 

A LIFE OF  INTENSE SPIRITUAL AUSTERITIES:

By itself the  entire life of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya has been  nothing but penance personified. That time devoted daily by ordinary people to  eke out an income was used by him for performing intense spiritual practices. In  front of every lay person Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya has  showcased his life as an experiment and supplication wherein despite remaining a  householder, despite eking out a living man can execute world welfare tasks  along with performing spiritual practices. Thus it is very much possible to  attain desired progress in the materially and spiritually beneficial mode of  living. Ordinarily people believe that if one is a householder world welfare  tasks and spiritual practices are nothing but obstacles and hindrances. They  infer that only celibates (Brahmacharis) or Sanyasis (ocher robed ascetics) can  succeed in spiritual way of life and that those trapped in the forest of a  mundane family life this path is extremely difficult to succeed in. Such despair  on the part of householders no doubt can be warded off by quoting examples from  great scriptures, proof and sound logic (Tarka) but Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi  Shriram Sharma Acharya felt it best to exhibit his own householder cum spiritual  life as an example for others to follow suit. He remained a householder  throughout his life and proved that for spiritual uplifting and advancement in  no way can a householder’s way of life pose an obstacle in attaining success but  in fact on manifesting a superb situation family way of life can prove very  helpful for attaining the spiritual goal.

 

DID THE  HOUSEHOLDER WAY OF LIFE PROVE TO BE A HINDRANCE IN ATTAINING SPIRITUAL  ADVANCEMENT?

The question  arises that since Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya’s spiritual  practices were sailing smoothly and that his householder lifestyle was not  posing any problems for it, what need was there for him to renounce hearth and  home so as to dwell incognito in some far off region of profound solitude? It is  very natural that this curiosity arises in the mind of every beloved member of  the ‘Akhand Jyoti Family’. When Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma  Acharya informed me about this journey to live in solitude my (his revered wife)  mind too asked this question: Is it that householder way of living is posing  obstacles for him? Am I as his consort putting obstacles on his path either  knowingly or unknowingly? By itself the day I entered this house after getting  married to him I have felt this to be a live sacred pilgrim spot. I felt that  images of gods placed here talk, eat, walk etc and as a result my inner psyche  got molded into a pristine pure devotee like sentiments. As per his sacred  aspirations only I made efforts to mold myself and act accordingly. I rendered  my family circumstances too in this mold so that no obstacles cam in the way of  fulfilling his sacred mission. Yet humans are but humans. It is natural that  they err. It is possible that some family oriented cause was such that he had to  leave hearth and home and live incognito in solitude in some far off region.

I placed my  doubt in front of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya because  lest our home proved to be a reason of discomfort and an obstacle I would say it  was failure as far as my life’s goal was concerned. Along with this these  efforts of his too would fail wherein he wanted to set an example to the world  that a householder way of life can never pose obstacles when we pursue spiritual  goals and execute selfless world service. In fact according to him family life  can aid in such endeavors immensely. Under such circumstances when even  before successfully executing his duty towards his 2 small children he was  thinking of renouncing hearth and home and live incognito definitely it proves  household way of life as mediocre and vain.

 

FAILURE REAPED  DUE TO EFFORTS MADE THUS FAR:

Revered Gurudeva  Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya is highly capable and powerful. Innumerable  miraculous success has been witnessed in his long life span. Lest his experiment  of proving householder way of life as a good help in attaining the spiritual  goal and executing selfless world service goes down the drain in vain then  although this failure cannot harm him in any way because remaining successes are  enough to render his life radiantly illumined but since my entire life revolved  around one experiment only viz. to mold myself in accordance with his sacred  aspirations and create our family environment too on this great foundation, if  this effort fails on my part it shall be a very sad time for me and can be a  cause of bowing my head down in shame. I had no zest to live such a failure  reaping life. I had informed Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya  at that time itself when he had placed before me his intention to live incognito  and in solitude far away from our home.

I had also  discussed with him that the reaction of his leaving home thus would affect  thousands of his beloved devoted followers also. They too would ponder thus that  if Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya could not fulfill his goal  leading a householder life it shall be impossible for us all too to succeed.  When he had to choose leaving hearth and home in order to carry out austerities  and spiritual practices then this path shall be apt for us followers too.  Thinking thus, thousands of householders following in his footsteps, in order to  render a high stature family life as a beacon light for others shall all go in  vain, despite the fact that they are tasting good measure of success in this  glorious endeavor.

Today Revered  Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya’s life is not limited for him only  but that innumerable people are getting light of wisdom from him. Hence if an  erroneous step is taken it shall badly affect all those who were getting the  getting light of wisdom from him. Hence with reference to the reaction of his  decision to live incognito and in solitude far away from our home I very humbly  tried to explain to him and requested him prayerfully to think over his decision  again. Of course being a woman I did have inner weakness of attachment to him  etc. Hence naturally along with faith and devotion towards him I was emotionally  attached to him as any wife would be towards her husband. So again it was  natural that physical proximity to him was heavenly and separation from him was  hell like in nature. Despite this I promised him that all that I was discussing  with him was not inspired by the above inner weaknesses of mine. In fact on many  such occasions previously I did control my inner emotions. After reminding him  of things like vowing to work hard daily, self sacrifice, remaining celibate for  life etc I agreed that although I have many weaknesses yet they are not such  that they would pose obstacles in the way of sacred ideals so dear to him and  the glorious path of life chosen by him. Hence I prayed to him not to believe  emotional attachment to him as the reason for my humbly opposing him leaving  home for an incognito life of solitude. AN OBSTACLE  SHALL COME IN THE WAY OF GUIDANCE:

So many devotees  immersed in spiritual practices while regularly receiving guidance from Revered  Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya were walking ahead on the path of  progress. Hence once he left for living in lone solitude will not this progress  of theirs get obstructed? Shall not the sequence of attaining light of wisdom  and peace from him by people afflicted with worldly strife and troubles break  apart? A huge congregation of lay public had so far taken help of such a  powerful personality as Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya for  warding off their mundane and spiritual problems. Hence if he left them all will  it not be a terrible shock for these devoted followers leading them to gloomy  despair only? So many people feel him to be their very beloved soul being the  head of such a gigantic world family. These devotees swarm around him like bees  near sweet nectarine honey. Hence will not their innocent sacred emotions  towards Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya experience unbearable  pain of physical separation from him?

In order that  programs conducted for Era Neo Creation and Transformation by Gayatri Tapobhumi  and Akhand Jyoti offices run smoothly Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma  Acharya’s holy presence too was most required. Both institutions are getting  guidance today from him only. Hence if he dwells in solitude, far away from us  these institutions’ smooth functioning shall go haywire. Without his active  cooperation in the very gigantic endeavor of great character building after  uprooting individual and world society based taints within the program of  ethical and cultural uplifting the world over shall definitely falter. No doubt  the 24,000 Kundi or pyre Gayatri Yajnas were conducted successfully yet the  advancement of the Vedic tradition of living a Yajna oriented lifestyle in India  yet remained to be executed. By leaving such great tasks half fulfilled by  heading for an incognito lone living away from the hub of society a big  requirement of our country India shall get harmed.

 

DOUBTS GET  CLARIFIED SATISFACTORILY:

All these doubts  of mine were heard by Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya very  attentively. By itself, he is very subtle sighted he very cautiously thinks  about various matters in a farsighted manner and only after deep cogitation does  he draw any conclusion. For quite a few days regarding this decision of living  incognito in solitude his subtle vision was fully at work and only after mulling  over its good-bad repercussions that he had placed before us his intentions. Yet  when I also placed before him my logic he again started rethinking over his  decision for quite a bit of time. But he felt that his previous decision was  correct and hence repeated his thinking again. He also answered and clarified  doubts of mine. Many a times his arguments could not be properly understood by  me and many a times those doubts persisted in my mind. Yet since I have lived by  his side for such a long time period I know well that behind his thinking,  decisions and conclusions some Extra Sensory Power (ESP) is at work and their  results on an average are exactly as per his great thinking. At the time of  commencing the establishment of Gayatri Tapobhumi, organizing the All World  Gayatri Family, 1000 Kundi or pyre Gayatri Yajnas, 24,000 Yajnas conducted all  over India, publishing the 4 voluminous Vedas, the worldwide program of Era Neo  Creation and Transformation etc considering the minuscule means available  forgetting succeeding in these tasks one could not hope even to progress a few  steps forward. Yet all of were mind boggled to witness that these tasks  appearing impossible to succeed in previously later became easy to taste  success. All these are well known episodes that actually took place. Apart from  these there are innumerable other facts that not everyone is aware of but that a  few of them know well that Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya’s  inner sacred inspirations were astounding and behind them definite precepts are  at work.

When he again  insisted that he planned to head for an incognito solitude living I had no  difficulty in accepting its utility value and a dire need to do so. My prime  duty was to render his thinking easy and facile. I am doing exactly this. Any  task given to me by him I would devotedly take up with eyes closed without  caring for the fact that my capability was not all that great and that my power  to succeed in it too was weak. Even today I am executing these duties. In future  too I shall continue to do so. All doubts in my mind were clarified at the  personal level and that his decision was akin to Vedic Injunctions. But very  much like me many readers of ‘Akhand Jyoti Magazine’ could harbor doubts like I  did since very much akin to me they looked up to Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi  Shriram Sharma Acharya with profound faith, respect and a sense of soul oneness.  All of them had a loving right over him since they looked upon him as their  divine father. All of them can place forth their mind’s anguish everyone could  experience a lot of mental stress because of separation from him. Everyone would  feel that if he left for a life of solitude only harm would come their way.  Hence all these devoted followers would like to pose these questions to him  directly in the manner I myself did. All the answers given by him regarding the  above doubts discussed are worth deeply mulling over. Hence these are being  penned in this particular article.

 

FOR INTENSE  AUSTERITIES SOLITUDE IS MANDATORY:

Revered Gurudeva  Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya opines that spiritual practice/Sadhana and  austerities or Tapasya are 2 different aspects. The power and limits of both are  different. Spiritual practices can be done in a congregational manner wherein  the Food and Mental Sheaths dwelling in the devotee’s subtle body can get  purified, nourished and become well advanced. Thus the qualities, actions, inner  nature etc can undergo a sanctifying transformation (Sattvik). Due to inner  purity resulting from this sanctifying transformation the divine light of  Almighty God enters the inner realm of the devotee and thus it gets divinely  illumined. He marches ahead on the path of soul uplifting and attains peace too.  When the Food Sheath is nourished well via spiritual practice the body becomes  disease free, attains a healthy long life span, imbibes immense power of  endurance and can face untold hardships with calmness and serenity. Its radiance  intensifies and while fighting difficulties steadfastly creates apt efforts to  reap success. Via spiritual practices based on the Mental Sheath mental  distortions, bad thoughts and tainted inner qualities get uprooted. One’s memory  power and intellectual powers augment n fold. Mental restlessness is warded off  and the psyche becomes focused in a one pointed manner. One’s enterprise, valor,  patience, fearlessness, faith etc increase a lot in measure. Greed for amassing  and enjoying sense titillating objects and selfish desires come under one’s apt  control. By obstructing the mind from treading the tainted path veering it  towards the path of truth and greatness vile psychic imprints (Kusanskars)  gathered from innumerable previous lifetimes can be sanctified. The supreme  director of the body and the chief creator of mental thoughts is the psyche. By  undergoing spiritual practices for purifying the Mental Sheath when the mind  comes under one’s optimal control the task of soul neo creation becomes  straightforward and easy. After this, man can mold himself in tandem with  desired apt situations. He can create within him desired specialties. In this  manner man can become the author and creator of his destiny.

THE DIFFERENCE  BETWEEN MEDITATION/WORSHIP OF ALMIGHTY GOD (UPASANA) AND AUSTERITIES OR TAPASYA:

Revered Gurudeva  Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya also said that meditation, worship etc and  spiritual practices that can be done even while living a life of congregation,  via it by mastering our Food and Mental Sheaths, by creating many Sattvik  (sacred) specialties in our personal lives in order to attain life’s true goal  progress can definitely be attained. Thus by treading this path slowly but  surely God or Self Realization also can be attained. For ordinary lay public and  pious householders this very path of meditation, worship etc and spiritual  practices are easy and apt. The 3 Yogas of Action, Wisdom and Devotion come  under the aegis of Upsana or path of meditation, worship etc but in comparison  to Upasana the path of Tapasya or austerities is higher in stature and more  powerful. Within the jurisdiction of the subtle realm of the soul innumerable  Energy Centers reside. Amongst these within the realm of Kundalini Yoga (Divine  Serpent Power) the 6 Chakras (subtle plexus) are well known. But the matter is  not limited to this only because subtler than these 6 Chakras (subtle plexus)  dwell many ‘Energy Glands’ (knots, complexes or Granthis) in the gross and  subtle bodies of human beings. In these lie hidden many specialties of their own  types. By rendering these latent centers awakened and optimally active man  creates such magnetic energy centers within his inner subtle nature that possess  the capacity to attract nature’s and Almighty God’s innumerable divine glories  (Vibhootis) spread out in the infinite cosmos, towards itself. The goal of Tapas  or intense austerities is to attain these spiritual energies that not only aid  in augmenting of one’s individual well being of great import but that of  innumerous other people too.

Lest the  environment of one’s home is sacred/Sattvik the program of Upsana or path of  meditation, worship etc can go on joyously devoid of hindrances but Tapas or  intense austerities is a special type of scientific process. For its success an  environment of lone solitude is most required. In a congregative lifestyle  varied types of thoughts, emotions, effects etc emerge. Via these the reaction  noted in the mind may not pose obstacles in the way of Upsana or path of  meditation, worship etc yet they create hurdles on the path of Tapas or intense  austerities. For Tapas or intense austerities each one has to dwell in lone  solitude. Demigods, humans and demons for various aims have executed Tapas or  intense austerities many a times. As a result of it in exchange of those  spiritual efforts attained desired boons from Mother Nature and beloved Almighty  God who is our Divine Father. Yet all this took place far away from home in  mountains, jungles etc oozing with lone solitude. Hence while staying at home  Upsana or path of meditation, worship etc can go on joyously devoid of  hindrances but Tapas or intense austerities cannot be done at home.

 

TAPAS OR  AUSTERITIES DOES NOT MEAN SANYAS OR ASCETIC WAY OF LIFE WEARING THE OCHER ROBE:

Tapas or intense  austerities do not mean Sanyas. Sanyasis are known to leave their home, they  wear ocher robes and travel everywhere in the world. They cannot re enter a  householder way of life after taking Sanyas Deeksha or initiation. But as far as  Tapas or intense austerities is concerned you can again take up a householder  way of life. There are many examples of householders who after attaining  required spiritual powers on executing Tapas or intense austerities away from  home in solitude returned to worldly family way of living. In ancient eras so  many Rishis would do difficult Tapas or intense austerities and a major number  of them were householders. Maharshis like Vasishtha, Vishwamitra, Lomus,  Jamadagni, Atri, Gautam, Yajnavalkya etc had sired many children and along with  their pious wives although leading a sacred householder’s life made arrangements  for executing difficult Tapas or intense austerities in dense lonely forest  regions. Bhagiratha in order to bring down River Ganga from heaven executed  terrific difficult Tapas or intense austerities. When the goal of these  austerities was fulfilled Bhagiratha re entered the householder way of life.  Demons like Ravan, Kumbhkarana, Meghnad, Bhasmasur, Sahasrarjun etc had  performed terrific austerities. They too attained desired powers and then  returned to their ordinary family way of living. Goddess Parvati in order to  attain a husband, child Dhruva in order to attain grandeur and Swayambhu Manu  and his Queen Shatrupa in order to sire a divine son performed difficult Tapas  or intense austerities. After successfully attaining desired boons they returned  to family life.

Revered Gurudeva  Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya also said that difficult Tapas or intense  austerities and Sanyas are 2 different matters. He was neither taking Sanyas  wherein the question of turning away from responsibility of children sired by  him crops up and neither was he permanently ‘shying’ away from social living.  Thus the question of obstacles coming in the way of getting guidance from him  did not arise. Due to difficult Tapas or intense austerities the energies of the  devotee becomes more intense, subtle and sanctified. Hence despite living far  away in solitude Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya could give  inner sacred inspirations to one and all when required (akin to telepathy). In  mundane tasks speech and materials are required but in spiritual tasks no  special need of these arises. On the basis of subtle consciousness this task can  be executed despite staying far away physically. Despite living incognito in a  lone manner the task of giving inner inspiration to people as and when required  shall go on unabated.

Tantra based  austerities cannot be done at home and hence are carried out in lonely spots  like graveyards etc. that too at night. In it too is the aim of avoiding noisy  crowded areas. In ancient eras too people leading quite busy lives on getting  due facilities would travel to some lone pilgrim spot oozing with sanctity for a  small time span. In close proximity to sages, saints etc carrying out difficult  Tapas or intense austerities they too would do some penance. Today the  atmosphere of pilgrim spots is no longer serene and pure because there  urbanization has caught up in a big way. But in ancient times pilgrim spots were  set up with the aim of creating an atmosphere of purity, serenity and  sacredness. Today this tradition is heading towards extinction yet the  importance of penance as was noted since primordial times is the same even today  and in future also this shall go on unabated.

A PROMISE GIVEN  THAT IMCOMPLETE TASKS SHALL NOT COME TO A GRINDING HALT:

A need was felt  to give up incomplete tasks in order to execute difficult Tapas or intense  austerities in some far off lonely region because the problems faced at that  time required untold measure of spiritual powers to solve them once and for all.  All World Gayatri Family (HQ-Shantikunj-Haridwar-India) had commenced the  program of neo awakening of ethics and culture the world over via Era Neo  Creation and Transformation based tasks. These were required to be rendered  gigantic and worldwide. Our country India after crossing many eras of dark gloom  was now witnessing the dawn of political freedom from alien British Rule. On  this very auspicious occasion in order to render India well governed many  efforts in many directions were taking place. Yet for the development of our  biggest wealth called spirituality not much effort was being made and thus it  remained ignored. That spiritualism known to aid advancement of great glorious  inner qualities that in turn rendered any community, sect etc truly great had  entered the crater of total downfall. Hence only after rendering spirituality a  leader, that the true greatness of humanity can be witnessed. Our land India is  that of great divine saints. Its advancement can be said to be true only when  Indian citizens by putting into action their great bright character and sacred  ideals imbibed within not only establish true peace and joy in India but that  they must guide and solve problems of the entire world harassed by unethical  behavior and activities. In order to create such optimal positive circumstances  All World Gayatri Family is making due efforts along with other mediums too. In  these efforts a lot of zest, energy, honesty, self sacrifice and honest hard  work are most required. The fulfillment of this need can take place only via  inspiration given to workers in a subtle manner. In order that this inner  inspiration is attained by all in a compact manner the only solution is terrific  difficult austerities. In this solitude incognito life of mine efforts shall be  made to attain this very energy in untold measure.

So many devotees  in order to augment their will power and attain their life’s goal are making due  efforts at the individual level yet these lone efforts of theirs are not  sufficient and that mere vocal guidance cannot reap success. Hence the  requirement is that apart from these individual spiritual practices an external  energy and help must render their progress swifter in an active manner. Only  then can their spiritual practices reap satisfactory success. Hence this type of  external help and energy can be amassed only via terrific difficult austerities  done in solitude.

 

MORE HELP AND  COOPERATION FOR MEMBERS OF OUR WORLDWIDE FAMILY:

Just as someone  can ward off another’s financial lack by donating his own wealth, just as by  donating one’s blood some wounded or sick person’s life can be saved similarly a  person by subtly giving a portion of energy gathered from austerities can render  that person’s difficulties easy to ward off. On the basis of blessings of a  great saint of penance so many incidences are reported wherein big problems of  people afflicted with strife and sorrow have been solved. These blessings are  not mere uttering a few words via the tongue but that in order to render it  successful a required measure of one’s austerities and Punya (good deeds) have  to be handed over subtly. In this world the Law of Karma is irrevocable. As a  result of his good-bad deeds man faces either joy or sorrow. Lest someone is to  be given more joy than what his destiny ordains or that some pain and sorrow in  his destiny has to be lessened in measure then for that very potent blessings  have to be showered on them. This can only happen when the vault of power of  penance in the one giving blessings has been amassed in great measure and that  from it he gives a certain portion of it to the one whom he blesses. There are  so many people immersed in tasks of righteousness that require such help in  order that the path chosen by them becomes easier to tread on. In this penance  of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya while dwelling in lone  solitude, one of the goals is to gather a huge vault of spiritual help.

In the future in  the year 1962 AD as per Indian Astrology 8 planets are going to dwell together  in 1 single Zodiac Sign. At the time of the bloody Mahabharat War 7 planets had  dwelled together in 1 single Zodiac Sign. The dire result of this was that 18  Akshauni Army, lay public etc died and both financial and social destruction was  noted on a war footing. Hence when 8 planets dwell together in 1 single Zodiac  Sign the results shall be much worse. Thus to calm down these horrific reactions  so many high stature saints of penance are immersing themselves in difficult  austerities. One aim of Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya  taking up difficult lone austerities is the above also.

 

SELFLESSLY  SERVING ONE’S COUNTRY AND HUMAN COMMUNITY:

Apart from this  so many world problems confront Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma  Acharya. At a personal level he has never aspired for heaven, salvation or  Moksha and Ridhi-Sidhis or Divine Powers. In fact his only aspiration in life  was to lead a pure Brahmin way of life oozing with selfless service,  righteousness and sacred ideals put into practice in day to day transactions.  Hence whatever he thinks and acts drips with sentiments of selfless world  service so as to usher in true well being of all and sundry. At this hour of  doing difficult Tapas or intense austerities these very questions stare at him.  India’s ancient spiritual sciences are becoming extinct one by one and hence it  is required that due research and protection be given to it. Revered Gurudeva  Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya has placed before us all the ordinary  teachings of Vedas but what remained was to highlight the scientific and  spiritual connotations of Vedic Mantras. This task is possible only if a subtle  Yoga based vision is imbibed. And this vision can never be imbibed without Tapas  or intense austerities. There is no other option apart from penance.

Regarding  Gayatri Tapobhumi and Akhand Jyoti Magazine a worry exists that they may go  haywire anytime in future yet Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya  harbors no such tension. Those self sacrificing people had shouldered the duties  of Gayatri Tapobhumi and Akhand Jyoti Magazine is very trustworthy and honest  hard workers. They realize their responsibilities properly and shall continue to  shoulder them diligently in future also. Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram  Sharma Acharya also promised to contribute literature penned by him for the  Akhand Jyoti Magazine while he lived an incognito life in solitude far away. In  fact henceforth he resolved to egg on readers on the path of spirituality via  guidance given by him in the Akhand Jyoti Magazine. Thus very much like Gayatri  Tapobhumi the flame lamp of Akhand Jyoti Magazine shall continue to burn  brightly.

MAY THE  AUSPICIOUS JOURNEY OF ACHARYAJI BRING GOOD OMEN!

Revered Gurudeva  Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya shall not be in our midst at least for 1 year  due to this journey of his. This time frame may be increased in future. Where  exactly was he going? This he did not declare publicly but definitely it shall  be the lofty Himalaya Mountains. The ancient traditions of Tapas or intense  austerities have attained fulfillment from Himalaya Mountains only. Hence for  conducting penance this region is apt. After the decided time frame he shall  start dwelling in known regions by leaving unknown places but these days on  noting the thought flow going on in his mind it seems that instead of making  writings, speeches etc as the foundation of selfless public service he shall  rise much higher than that and perform Tapas or intense austerities. His future  program shall focus mainly on difficult Tapas or intense austerities.

All those doubts  harbored by me previously were also spoken about by many readers in their  letters to Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya but after he  discussed these doubts I became doubt free. Now I had full faith that not only  is his future austerities not detrimental to our country, any community etc but  instead shall reap nothing but benefits.

So far he has  ceaselessly immersed himself in selfless service to society and lay public.  After he completes these difficult austerities in lone solitude he shall be able  to execute much more such services so as to immensely benefit one and all. It is  apt that he gets as much solitude for this Tapas or intense austerities. As a  result he shall become that much more powerfully capable than he already is  today. Thus not only the members of Akhand Jyoti Family but that he shall be  able to serve Indian Religion and Culture much more potently.

No doubt Revered  Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram Sharma Acharya shall have to undergo immense  difficulties, he shall stay far away from us in a lone manner and hence self  pity emerging in our soft natured bosom is quite natural. Just thinking about us  bidding him adieu wells tears in our eyes yet we are satisfied that only when  the plant of righteousness is watered with such sacred tears that it blooms  forth in a lush green manner. Vedmurti Revered Gurudeva Yuga Rishi Shriram  Sharma Acharyaji has sacrificed every iota of his Prana Energy for keeping alit  the Light of Divine Wisdom. All of us can attain contentment by offering our  tears of faith and devotion at his hallowed feet. We hence humbly pray that  Goddess Mother Gayatri fulfills the sacred mission of this super great saint.

THE MIND BOGGLING ACTIVITIES OF AN AVATAR

Ordinarily in the arena of Sadhana or spiritual practice external rituals are mimicked and whenever someone imbibes these external rites in his daily life, a group of people tend to follow in his footsteps. Since hidden sentiments behind these symbols, soul purification and disciplines of true living are neither truly understood nor imbibed, how will they reap rich dividends?

Our Gurudeva was advised by his preceptor: You must reinstate an imperishable flame torch of clarified butter or Ghee symbolizing the bond between us so that none forgets the other. Since I had appeared before you as a mass of divine light its memory should remain eternally. Revered Gurudeva reverently imbibe the commands of his beloved master and did exactly that.

When Gurudeva journeyed to Himalayas in the years 1941, 1951 and 1960 he yet observed that discipline. Revered Mataji writes in the 1951 Akhand Jyoti Magazine, that it is now my prime responsibility to look after the management of this magazine. As an editor this was her first attempt because in that period the time span of Gurudeva’s Himalayan travel would be more than 1 year. Three chief tasks had been set up by Gurudeva for Revered Mataji and they were:

1)      The Akhand Jyoti or flame torch remains lit for 10 more years ceaselessly. Initially this torch was lit for the time span of 24 Mahapurashcharanas of Gayatri practice yet despite the task being completed it should not be bid adieu. Just as in 40 days 1 Anushthan of Gayatri (.125 million Mantras) is completed in the same way when the flame torch remains lit for 40 years without pause the Akhand Jyoti or torch flame becomes Sidha or spiritually omnipotent. This torch already had been lit for 30 years and family members one by one keeping awake for 24 hours saw to it that the flame never got extinguished and hence why leave it incomplete when only 10 years are left? (Akhand Jyoti Magazine-October, 1951, pages 6/7/8). Since the decision regarding the time period after 1971 was to be unveiled by Gurudeva on his return from Himalaya journey we have not discussed the episode of their changing residence and going to Haridwar where this imperishable flame torch or Akhand Jyoti was kept. Whatever may be the case yet HH Mataji acted scrupulously as per the directions of Gurudeva. Within its divine light by gaining Darshan of Gurudeva and his revered preceptor she ran the gigantic household called All World Gayatri Family. She continued to edit the magazine and shouldered all those duties which she had to execute as the chief of an institution.

2)      The second command was to ceaselessly do Japa in front of this flame torch and a program must be designed to execute 24 Anushthans comprising 2.4 million Mantras in 10 years.

3)      The 3^rd command that in which ever place this flame torch was kept in front of which ceaseless Japa was carried out from there sacred qualities be imbibed and only then the Akhand Jyoti Magazine must be published.

There exists an extraordinary deep import of lighting flame torches ceaselessly for many years. We had commenced this literature with an episode which we will continue to elaborate upon. The lay public by following others and by looking at the fount of success as a visible ritual no doubt lights an imperishable flame torch yet they fail to do this ceaselessly in the long run. A flame becomes Sidha only when it is accompanied by intense austerities by a spiritually credible devotee. This is not some miniscule task that can be handed over to just about anyone. One not only has to do Japa-Anushthan but that by looking upon self purification as a very important spiritual practice must be undergone steadfastly. This very task had been fulfilled by revered Gurudeva and Mataji and even today one finds this flame torch in Shantikunj (Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India) that has been kept lit ceaselessly for 64 years. It is the fount of all divine inspirations and Sidhis. In front of it even today ceaseless Mantra chanting is done. In its close proximity .1 billion Gayatri Mantra Japa is executed and in a Yajnashala having 9 Kundis or pyres Ahutis or sacred offerings are made to the Yajna fire. From this seeds of true spiritually sprout forth and bloom as flowers and fruits. In its sacred light revered Gurudeva wrote volumes of great literature and carried out worship and meditation. The present lines too have written after getting due inspiration of this ceaselessly lit flame torch called Akhand Deep or Jyoti. In it there is no lone effort because at its root is at work the power of austerities executed by Gurudeva which rendered him a Super Human imbued with immense Brahmavarchas or Divine Aura. In future too this will take place exactly as is happening today.

Over here we are writing in detail because those Gayatri Family members who come here to see and have Darshan of this flame torch must understand its root philosophy and subtle Sidhi. If in order to follow this tradition they too light a flame torch in their homes they must make due efforts to render it Sidha Jyoti or spiritually potent flame. If this is not possible since along with keeping this torch ceaselessly lit intense austerities too have to be undergone then they can yet accrue benefits of our Akhand Jyoti by reading and imbibing sacred teaching of revered Gurudeva whose inspiration rests in the sacred power of this divine light of the flame torch. Much more is the importance of such Sidha Jyotis when compared to importance of places where great spiritual aspirants have performed penance called Sidhapeethas. In it a great devotee assiduously surrendered his very life for a great mission and not only awakened his own Kundalini Shakti but that in order to awaken the Kundalini of the world became potently subtle (Sookshmikaran) post death and even today is very much active in the subtle world.

Majority of times letters are received at Shantikunj and in Mathura too that for our sake please carry out certain number of Japa for a particular goal and in return we will send you cash. Those writing such letters do not know that Japa programs cannot be ‘rented’. This in fact is a fraudulent business of vain arrogant priests which our revered Gurudeva mocked and opposed all his lifetime. Japa and austerities must be done by our self. Yes! In order that no obstacle comes in the way of Anushthans, we at Shantikunj can protect then through the Rishi existence of Shantikunj as per the promise given by revered Gurudeva. This promise exists today and will hold in future too wherein if someone is doing Japa, Anushthan etc at his home or elsewhere he/she will get due protection from all obstacles and hardships forever by our extraordinarily divine existence. What is mainly to be understood is that due thought be given to augmenting ones sanctity and uprooting various taints and that in comparison to purifying ones sentiments less importance be given to superficial rites and rituals. If while chanting Mantras we pay attention only to its numbers, know that this is like ‘bartering’ with Almighty Lord. There exists no such register in the abode of God and Mother Gayatri wherein the number of Mantras chanted is written and noted. Over there in fact what is gauged is your goodwill and sanctified high stature aspirations and whenever anyone attains success or Sidhi it will be only on this basis as has been mentioned by Gurudeva during his entire life time.

Since now we have received instructions to unveil the Sidha aspect of Gurudeva we humbly dare to write the following lines. Those living in close proximity to him know for sure that despite possessing only 1 gross body, he executed tasks performed by 5 bodies. It is indeed a mystery as to how he carried out various tasks of 5 types simultaneously but those dwelling nearby know that in the life span of 80 years he lived a life akin to 800 years. Let us unfold how 5 tasks were carried out by 5 bodies. First he carried out meditation on Mother Gayatri for 6 hours apart from 8 hours of physical labor and 7 hours of mental labor (reflection, deep cogitation and writing). One can now understand how less he slept since out of 24 hours, 21 hours were utilized thus. This then is that wondrous Sidhi which although can be termed in any manner yet people near him know that those tasks commenced by him on getting up at 1 am in the morning would ceaselessly continue till 10 pm at night. All this is possible only after immense energy is gathered due to intense austerities performed.

The other task was to open, read and reply within 24 hours more than 1000 letters received daily by post from Gayatri Family members residing in various places. The answers to these letters were so compact and affectionate that the person reading it felt he got all answers regarding questions posted by him. One got the sense of oneness with ones father and affection too was showered. Even after settling in Haridwar, revered Gurudeva continued with this task but after 1972 through the medium of devotees and guidance of revered Mataji letters were received by members. It was Gurudeva who himself categorized these letters and decided how and in what way every letter was to be answered. Later he handed over this important task to HH Mataji and her aides. No doubt his subtle guidance yet exists. The foundation of this organization is his letters which he wrote to innumerable people and lovingly made everyone his very own.

The 3^rd onerous task that he carried out till he shed his mortal coil was writing literature. He wrote so much that if his literature is weighed it would be double the weight of Gurudeva’s physical body. Regularly he read for 3 hours and for 4 hours he wrote for the magazine and penning books. Maybe he sometimes went hungry but never did he stop writing daily. Whatever he read for Swadhyaya or self study, whatever subtle knowledge was given to him by his divine existence, those priceless thoughts akin to potent Sanjivani (rejuvenating life) was penned down by him. One more thing to note is that after reading something he never kept any reference book with himself. He had an extraordinary razor sharp memory. He has given us so much literature authored by himself in the form of 2500 books, commentaries on Vedas etc, self written Prajna Purana and has written so much for 10 years henceforth that Akhand Jyoti will continue to get published ceaselessly and will remain lit eternally like a light house. The writings may be authored by anybody yet the thinking behind it is that of revered Gurudeva. In the form of a Bhagwad Geeta World Library he has designed a gigantic book which will be inspired to be written by his subtle-causal bodies and also 14 parts of Prajna Purana.

The 4^th task was individual contact, teaching giving guidance and advice. It is alright if for a few moments he rested by immersing into Yogic sleep (Nidra) yet he kept meeting so many people throughout his lifetime apart from the last few years before he shed his mortal coil when he was immersed in rendering his psyche subtle (Sookshmikaran). He imbued life force or Prana in all those who contacted him, he augmented their will power and very affectionately and zealously gave guidance regarding daily living, spiritual practices and how to adapt the psyche when circumstances change externally. It is certainly not an overstatement to say that he is the emperor of the hearts of all volunteers.

The 5^th task was to ceaselessly travel to look after the mission’s tasks and render positively active all volunteers and helpers. In the few preliminary years he resided in Gandhiji’s Sabarmati Ashram, Sevagram at Vardha and Pondicherry Ashram of Shri Aurobindo along with Rabindranath Tagore’s Shantiniketan. He went to Adyar too and virtually read all books in the library of Annie Besant in Varanasi. He would also travel to far regions where mission members were trying to render widespread various great tasks. While traveling he would continue writing and meditating. 15 days before he bid adieu in 1971 he traveled ceaselessly and in 1 day he would visit programs at 3-4 places. Not only would he fulfill them but that he would meet all those who contacted him so much with a sense of oneness that those people would think he is closest to them. In the years 1980-81-82 for laying foundation stones of various Shaktipeethas and invoking deities there he would complete 5 programs in one day with great success.

If tested minutely one cannot correlate that in so many hours or days how he could carry out such feats yet Lord Mahakal’s Divine Energy is so terrific that at a time he would be active in 5 places. This question was asked to Gurudeva by workers of the mission who traveled with him but since he had not got any direction to answer by his preceptor he only told us regarding tasks carried out by 5 bodies as has been mentioned in the above lines. And yet if members wish to hear and understand the Sidhi of this great realized saint they must read the following episode. In Madhya Pradesh (India) one mission volunteer continuously kept questioning revered Gurudeva as to how he was active in 5 different places simultaneously? In order to answer him and exhibit his Lilas or divine sports Gurudeva gave this volunteer a telephone number of Bilaspur and after asking for a trunk call ask over there as to what is going on? The answer was that Gurudeva’s program was organized there. He has just finished giving a discourse and is having food just now. This volunteer on hearing this felt the phone slipping out of his hand in astonishment and after prostrating full length at revered Gurudeva’s hallowed feet he said: Lord! I shall never doubt you henceforth.

Dear readers! What will you say regarding all this? Would you label this too as mesmerism and hypnotism? The divine sports of great saints and Gurus are mind boggling. While he was alive he carried out such stupendous feats and now after donning the subtle body post death Gurudeva will give more astounding experiences to all members.
